Sebastian 'Seb' Macdowell
Description
Standing at a respectable 6'0", Seb just barely stands out in a crowd. He's got a bad case of farmer's muscle, able to heft around much more than his lean stature might suggest. On the upper left side of his chest is a stylized tattoo depicting the sun, bisected diagonally by an ugly red-stained scar.

Heroic Persona
Ned Kelly: Bulwark of The Poor, Hero of The Working Class, The Bulletproof Bushranger
Ned Kelly lived a life of conflict and swashbuckling derring-do. Namesake founder of the Kelly Gang, Ned preformed a series of heists and outlawry against the denouncing the police, the Victorian government and the British Empire. Most famously, he took hostage the entire town of Glenrowan, Victoria. It was there that he was captured by the police, but not before surviving 25 shots fired at him by the police: 19 were blocked entirely by his makeshift armor, while he kept shooting through the final six shots: one in the left foot, one in his left leg, one in each of his right hand and left arm, and twice in the groin.
Kelly was often revered as greater than the average man. In his time, he took down an armed officer at the age of sixteen, punched a hardened criminal into becoming one of his most ardent supporters, singlehandedly beat four police officers and a shoemaker while drunk, and held multiple towns hostage.
"I fired at him point blank and hit him straight in the body. But there is no use firing at Ned Kelly; he can't be hurt"
He grants Sebastian greatly improved durability. Much like Kelly's famous armor, Sebastian is able to take the equivalent of multiple bullets at point blank range and walk away with no ill effects.
"Ned Kelly would beat me into fits. I can beat all the others; ... but I look upon Ned Kelly as an extraordinary man; there is no man in the world like him, he is superhuman."
Kelly also has made Sebastian much stronger. Just as Kelly was able to beat the daylights out of five grown men, move unhindered by 44 pounds of armor, and take down an armed police officer twice his age, Sebastian is also capable of superhuman feats of strength and brawling combat.

History
Born and bred in Brisbane, Australia, Sebastian Macdowell didn't have what one might call a proper childhood. Seb was born the bastard son of a whore and a drunkard. The two hardly knew each other when they conceived Seb, just knew a rather blurry outline of each other. When Seb was born, his mother dumped him on his father's doorstep and disappeared into the night. What followed were eighteen years of abuse at the hands of his father, his teachers, and his peers. Oddly enough, he doesn't like thinking about it.
He got into some very sketchy business with some less than reputable people at the age of sixteen, and spent a couple of years on the wrong end of the law. His teachers frequently commented on just how much of a failure they believed Sebastian to be - he was called "a stupid imbecile who often turned up smelling of whiskey" on a disturbing number of occasions. In spite of this, Seb was seemingly not discouraged. After distancing himself from the shady influences on his life (or at least, most of them), he picked up some work in construction so he could eventually afford to go to University to follow his true passion, music.
At the age of twenty, he applied and was accepted to the University of Queensland, and went there to study music. At the end of his first semester, he woke up one night with a massive headache, a brand new tattoo on his chest, a plane ticket to France, and a group of people he didn't recognize in his bed. A sequence of events that Seb never truly came to understand followed, ended up taking Sebastian to France with his new band, where they saw a surprising amount of success touring. A year spent in France with his band-mates, and he still only had the smallest idea of what happened leading up to that night he blacked out. He quickly gave up on his life back in Brisbane -not as if anyone was exactly missing him back there anyways.
His band soon became his family, or as close as he'd ever had. However, it lasted about as long as any family he'd ever had lasted. One day they took a day trip to Carcassonne, where Seb got especially trashed on a few substances of varying illegality. When he woke up again, he was alone in an alley, his band-mates were gone, and he was surrounded by the corpses of dead soldiers.
