PreludeThe land Fantasia, one of the many floating islands of the world, and by far one of the largest islands. The land itself was split into two parts, one of light and one of dark. Both always being in the same balance to keep peace to the whole island. Both co-exist peacefully together. Yes like on every other island there is crime, but overall it can be considered a happy place, balanced out well.
An equal amount of Light and Dark, Hope and Despair, Night and Day, Yin and Yang, and so the list goes on. One part of the island is called Harmonia. A peaceful valley, which always seems to be set in Spring. Small villages are scattered throughout this land, and there are various green places to be seen. Ranging from a tropical rain forest to a swamp. At the very edge of this part is the Wisdom Tree, a large tree with thick roots in which Belabog exists. The other part is called Dystopius. A place always set in night-time. A dark place, with several metropolis-like areas. Filled with locations ranging from dark caves to medieval villages. Chernabog is said to reside on top of the infamous Bald Mountain, acting as its summit. Both of the mythical beings reside locked up in their place to keep the island in balance.
However the balance was disrupted one day. This was caused by the a cult who worships Chernabog, who call themselves: Novimperij. Their goal was to awaken Chernabog in order to spread his darkness and spread it to Harmonia until the whole island would be engulfed with darkness. More people joined that cult, having given into despair. As the cult was growing they successfully managed to awaken Chernabog from his slumber. Although he was under the 'control' of the cult, he was also worshiped by them. Chernabog took over most of Harmonia, driving the people back to the last safe haven of Harmonia, which was the edge of the land near the Wisdom Tree. A part that always would be safe as long as Belabog was alive. Because of the disturbance in balance, Belabog had also awakened. She had shrunk to a smaller size because her energy was powered by the island. She however uses her energy to keep the inhabitants of Harmonia safe. The warriors of Harmonia strive to restore the balance and put Chernabog back into his place. Some Harmonians went to join Dystopius, but likewise some Dystopians joined Harmonia.
The land has been in this situation for almost 3 years now. Shortly after it began people switched sides, and went into training with their side. The Harmonians decided to focus on the teens who wanted to join the army, as they would have the most potential for it. The training also lasted 3 years and the graduates are put into teams.
As it says you will be playing a child, teen or a young adult, who is placed in a group to fight for Harmonia. It doesn't matter if you're from Harmonia or Dystopius, but I would prefer to keep the group balanced in that. Both Harmonians and Dystopians have different abilities. Harmonia will mostly feature Light magic and Dystopius Dark magic. Each character will have a set amount of ability points at the beginning of the RP, which will be talked more about below. Each character also can have a different kind of weapon. There are no specific weapons for a character although Harmonians tend to use bow & arrows, lances, and rapiers while Dystopians tend to use broadswords, axes and hammers.
Ability Points & Special AbilityEach character will start with a total of 10 Ability Points which they can divide over the four main abilities of their birthplace. These points also will indicate in what kind of ability your character is good in. You won't be getting more ability points, but it is just to indicate if your character is balanced, a magic user, a weapons user etc. You will get stronger in each ability but you will always be better in a specific something. You can only put five points into one ability, and must have at least one in all the other abilities. The Ability Points also will help with the special ability that I will grant you, which also ties in with the personality/history of your character. You will only get one special ability at the start but you might get one more over the course of the RP.
Abilities
-Healing: a rather basic ability, it requires concentration of the user to heal wounds and other bad states. If you have a low Healing ability you can heal things like cuts and small abrasions, however even those little things take some time. When you have an average Healing ability you can easily heal the previous mentioned things and are able to heal things like bruises, removing poison and healing burns. although it takes quite some time. When you have a strong Healing ability all those things will go much easier, although you will have a hard time healing fractures and damaged internal organs. Later things like growing back skin, bones etc. and reviving other people might be possible. Although the latter only can be performed immediately after the fatal attack.
-Nature: an ability which originates from the three fairies of Harmonia: Flora, Aira and Lynn. It controls three elements of nature namely grass, air and water. When you have a weak Nature ability you can control small plants, make short wind slashes and manipulate the water. When you have an average Nature ability you can also control wood and larger plants, the ability to float and increased wind ability and the ability to breathe under water. When you have a strong Nature ability you can even control whole trees and other larger plants, flight and the ability to turn water into ice. Please also divide the points for Nature over the three elements.
-Harmony: an ability which enchants your agility and makes you able to perform several status spells that have a non-damaging effect on the opponent. These spells are taken from Final Fantasy Barrier, Blind, Silence, Fear and Holy. The latter ones only can be learned when you have strong Harmony magic. Barrier makes shields/barriers, Blind makes the vision of opponents weak, Silence disables magic attacks from the opponent, Fear can create illusions and Holy is a powerful light magic that engulfs your weapon with light. They basically are stronger when more points are assigned to Harmony.
-Spirit Animal: a Spirit Animal for the Harmonians always will be some kind of woodland creature. These Spirit Animals will aid you in combat. They could have been with you for a long time already, or you could just meet them, or still have to meet them. However they each will be as strong by how many Ability Points you give them. Animals like a deer are fragile and slower when weak, normal when average, and strong with antlers when strong. This is the same for all other animals, I will figure it out with animals like squirrels and hedgehogs.
-Darkness: a basic ability belonging to the Dystopians. Darkness is the most used name for this kind of ability. Basically it means that you can manipulate matter. This matter can be gathered from anything that isn't an organism, meaning it excludes all living beings. However bacteria makes it harder to get the matter, because bacteria is on everything. When you have a weak Darkness ability you have a hard time pulling matter out of objects, and because you only have tiny bits you can only make small things out of it. When you have an average Darkness ability this becomes much easier but aren't able to construct large and detailed structures. This however is possible when you have a strong Darkness ability. However shaping things like houses etc. will still be difficult and requires concentration.
-Nature: like Harmonians, Dystopians also have Nature abilities. However they get their from three other fairies: Fia, Penine and Nariko. It controls three elements of nature namely fire, rock and lightning. When you have a weak Nature ability you can make low concentrated fire, control rocks and bricks and only can direct lightning. When you have an average Nature ability you have good control over the fire element, can control boulders and the ground and can make sparks of lightning. When you have a strong Nature ability you can make blue fire, you can bend metal, full rock control and can go underground and make real lightning.[/*]
-Despair: an ability which enchants your power and makes you able to performs several status spells that can have a damaging effect. These spells are Poison, Paralyze, Confuse, Magnetism and Curse. The latter ones only can be learned when you have strong Despair magic. Poison keep damaging the body of the opponent from the inside, paralyze stuns the opponent, confuse makes the opponent not able to land attacks right, magnetism can make the properties of metal heavier or lighter and curse makes the opponent slowly lose consciousness, which might also be fatal. They basically are stronger when more points are assigned to Despair.
-Underworld Creature: a Demon Creature for the Dystopians will always be some kind of demon known from the underworld. These Underworld Creatures will aid you in battle. hey could have been with you for a long time already, or you could just meet them, or still have to meet them. However they each will be as strong by how many Ability Points you give them. Demons like a hell hound are small and not that powerful when weak. It will grow extra heads and fire breathing ability when average and might even become a Cerberus when strong. This will be the same for all other animals.
