Chaos End: Rise of the Akuma Ryodan

Plot

Since ancient times there have been six apparent shrines located on the northern island of Japan, Miyuki, each of these shrines being a safe haven to any inhabitant and visitor to the city. Together the shrines form a protective barrier in the form of a hexagon, protecting the people of Miyuki.

Back in the days, when Miyuki was only a small civilization with a small number of inhabitants, there was an occurrence in the demon world. Six demons who together have formed the Akume Ryodan rebelled against the authority of the Lord of the Underworld and formed a threat to both the Underworld and Heaven. In conjunction with the heavenly realm they concealed the enemy demons in the shrines, with each shrine having an angel of the Royal Angel Guardians protect it.

Many years passed by and Miyuki became a modern city with lots of inhabitants and many tourists. One of the shrines even became a sight-seeing for many tourists. Miyuki City really had become a great city even with the concealment of demons on each end of the island. Harmony ruled the island for all its existing years, until one fateful day. One of the guardian angels fell into despair and freed the demon he was supposed to guard. In conjunction with the demon he freed the other five demons, eliminating the guardian angels in the process. In their last moment each of the angels concealed their soul into their Sacred Weapon, the only type of weapon that can slay a demon. Now with the guardian angels confined in an object it is up to our group of five average humans to pick them up and save Miyuki from it's end.

Information

A short summary of what happened before the story we are going to play out. We have five heroes who have been in contact and befriended the guardian angels. The six demons and the fallen angel have taken refuge in a yet unknown, but probably obvious, location. There are various roles available for this story:

• 5x Humans (one of the five heroes that will be the focus of the story)
• 5x Royal Guard Angels (they come in conjunction if you decide to play as a protagonist)
• 6x Akuma Ryodan Members (one of the six demons)
• 1x Fallen Angel (which will be played by me)

There are six shrines in Miyuki, each placed on a different part of the island to form a hexagon. These places are:

• Located almost at the peak of the snowy mountain in the north

Caitlyn Quintaine & Nostradamus - Quintaine Residence

It was weird that her hand didn't feel hot at all, this power was amazing, but certainly not one to be overused. Caitlyn let out a soft sigh as she lowered her temperature. She was sitting on the couch in her home, like usual there was no one home. It had been a few days now since Caitlyn's new life started, her second life, all thanks to an peculiar 'demon' that patched her up. Saying it made it sound even weirder. No one would even believe the story despite it being the truth, not that she had anyone to tell it to. The door opened.

Caitlyn looked to the entrance and saw a tall man with black hair and glasses dressed in a fancy black uniform enter the house. He sure looked different then at their first encounter with each other. He was a lot more pleasant to look at in this form. He was holding a letter in his hand and a faint grin was on his face. "It has been done." he said. Caitlyn looked confused as she didn't have a clue of what he went out to do in the first place.

"W-what did you do? You didn't even tell me what your plans were when you left." she said.

Nostra chuckled and handed over the letter to Caitlyn. "This letter confirms that I can enroll as substitute teacher at your school when needed. Luckily I don't have to be there every day, but we'll see each other nonetheless, despite you already being in your senior year." he explained. Caitlyn read through the letter before handing it back to the demon.

"Well at least you got your alibi in this world." she sighed. "I can't believe how quickly I adapted to this situation."

"It is your second life after all." Nostra chuckled, he headed into the kitchen to grab something for himself. "I assume you already practiced with you new found abilities, yes?"

"Yup. The last few days allowed me to get a better grip on those temperature powers, as well as the bone strengthening. However pulling those bone swords through my skin still poses me some trouble, it hurts a lot." she commented.

"As expected. I do treasure my Nociception ability much, so it is to assume you got the short end of the stick concerning Nociception." Nostradamus pulled out a rib in a swift hand-motion and examined it. He smiled followed by throwing it halfway into the wall. "You indeed got the short end of the stick." Caitlyn showed a faint smile and looked down to the ground while Notra continued grabbing his stuff out of the kitchen. She wondered what she deserved to get a second life. She doesn't have anyone that cares for her, not even her mother who is always away on business trips. She was fine with dying, yet she got a second chance. It now is the question whether she continues to live like she did or turn the wheel around and make changes in her new life.

All of Caitlyn's abilities have to do with internal aspects of her body all relating to the sense; Touch.
Proprioception
After making a contract with her demon one of the abilities she acquired was to grow ans strengthen her bones. Caitlyn can make her bones harder to prevent them from shattering, but this cannot interfere with the muscles in her body so she only is able to do it to a short extent. She is able to repair fractures to some degree as well, but even then it needs time to heal.

Nociception
Nociception, which translated into pain, is the ability that she can grow bones out of her body, break them off, and use them as weapons. The downside of this is that it pains her to call forth the bones from her body, and it isn't done in an instant. She most often summons a dual pair of large bone daggers and uses those in combat.

Thermoception
The last part of the touch sense is Thermoception, which translates into temperature. Caitlyn can control the temperature inside of her body which can be used in situations to keep her body cool on a hot day, or warm during a snowstorm. But there also is the offensive side of the ability. Caitlyn can heat up her hands to a very high temperature of which a normal human hand would immediately melt from. She can use it to bend and melt whatever she wants. She can also cool down her hands to such a low temperature that icicles and crystals will form around her hands. She forms them in such way that they appear as razor sharp claws. In both cases she can't use the ability for too long as it will then continue to spread and take over the body which result in her either turning to ash of turning into an ice-cube.

Biography:
For Caitlyn life never had been very fortunate, at very young age she lost pigment in the lower part of her haircut duo to reasons doctor cannot explain. She could cut it off, but that would only cause the pigment to lose for 35% of her shorter haircut, thus Caitlyn decided to keep her hair as long as possible. She treasured her hair but people around her only saw her as weird. Caitlyn never fit into any group and spend most time alone studying, and always left for home the minute school finished. She was beautiful, strange, mysterious and weird... someone who didn't fit in, a target for bullying, manipulation and molesting.

One day after school she took her normal route towards her house, which was on walking distance. She always took a shortcut through an alley to be home earlier, but one day three guys from her school were waiting for her there. She was cornered in the alley and had nowhere to go. The leader of the bunch wanted her to strip so he, and the others, could have their way with her. Caitlyn refused but the boys already began to touch her. Caitlyn got furious and punched the leader in his face, who in response got furious. He grabbed a lead pipe and attacked her with it. He kept slamming down on her repeatedly until almost all the bones in her body were broken. The boys made their escape after they saw what they had done. Caitlyn laid there on the ground till the sun went down, nobody had come to look for her. Caitlyn closed her eyes, giving up. When suddenly: "Ow, how I pity you. This isn't a way for a life to end... let's make a deal shall we?" Caitlyn felt a gentle touch on her body and her bones restoring but passed out during the process, the last thing she heard was "The deal has been made."

Proprioception
Unlike Caitlyn, Nostradamus doesn't have the ability to strengthen his bones anymore. He however is able to heal fractures of himself and others with ease, and also does this on a rather high speed. Not much healing time is needed afterwards as well.

Nociception
Nostradamus is able to extend and pull out multiple bones (unlike Caitlyn who only is able to pull them out her amrs), one if them being his spine. He uses it as a long whip with a sharp tip at the end. The other bones he frequently pulls out are his ribs which he uses as throwing knives. Unlike Caitlyn it doesn't take any time at all to grab his weapon, nor does it pain him in any way. In exchange for keeping his bone-related abilities he had to give up the Thermoception ability and give it completely to Caitlyn.

Biography:
Nostradamus, often called Nostra by others, was a lonesome demon in the Underworld, yet a very powerful one. He spend most of his days roaming around, ripping out the bones and organs of the damned in the Underworld for his own pleasure. He was quite the artist as he made sculptures out of the bones. However the dull and gray Underworld was very boring to him and he wanted to go to the mortal world, and experience the true beauty of humans before they were written off and thrown into the trashcan called the Underworld.

In the mortal world he hoped to become a more refined man, an appearance that would be more fitting to his personality. A witty, creative and certainly sadistic handsome man. His demon form may have looked awesome to others, but he thought it didn't reflect who he really was. Luckily for him he encountered a girl in need of saving and coincidentally he had the perfect ability to patch her up. A contract was never so easy.
