I'm in the process of moving so I'm currently a bit CrAzY at the second. Hopefully, I'll be back to normal reply schedule soon (after the move and the insanity of getting basic unpacking done)

I've quit my job and am currently job hunting. I'm hoping that and a few other things will help me enjoy life again.
I am around a bit though better to discuss on discord.

I'm not looking for new partners/stories at this time.

There was nothing worse than not knowing if a friend was dead or alive. Well - actually, there probably was but still. At least he could hope. He couldn't believe that something bad happened to her. Wouldn't. He had been on a team with Zelia for a long time - far longer than Flynn. The two had just clicked. Forming a team and working together had just came naturally. Sure, like all partners they had to figure each others little quirks out to better fight alongside each other. But they managed. They had done well together.

Many had thought they were an item. A man, a woman. Hanging out a lot together. The rumor and gossip mill abounded. But it hadn't been that case. They had been friends - good ones, but friends. Any feelings they might have had - or at least, he had - were kept buried. And of course once Flynn and then most recently Skye joined, Trex hadn't even wanted to explore anything other than friendship for fear that it might break the team. Not to mention, he had been really fixated on improving himself and getting stronger - constantly working. There hadn't been time for any relationship.

Of course that all seemed so shallow now, looking back. Excuses. Still partially afraid to see what he truly felt about Zelia, Trex did know that he was terrified that something bad happened to her. Maybe she was trapped. Maybe she was dying somewhere. To have her slip away without him even being able to.... He cut those thoughts down. Worrying did not help. Letting one's imagination run would only make it worse.

"If she doesn't show up in a day or two," just waiting that long was going to be difficult. "I'll follow up with the medical camp she was at." He glanced at Flynn. "Since she sent you the latest letter, I assume we know where she was stationed - at least with some precision?" And if they didn't then someone would know.

Skye watched silently. Though she had grown more comfortable with Flynn - and people in general, it hadn't changed her more quiet nature. Just made her a bit more open. Part of her expected the worst. It was life. Life was never fair and always seemed to bring its heavy foot down. But, she couldn't bring herself to say it. Not only did she not want to hurt the team but she found that she wanted...no. She was surprised. Hoped. She hoped Zelia was alright. Strange. She leaned forward and placed a hand on Trex's. "We'll find her." Her words were quiet but with a resonating promise behind it. Trex looked at her surprised. She quickly withdrew her hand, still a bit self-conscious.

She took the food, that was good. Ryzo wasn't going to force her but he knew she would need it. He didn't pull any out for himself. He wasn't that desperate yet and considering she had been here a week, who knows how long it would be before they would get out. He wasn't anticipating rescue. Though possible, he wasn't the type to rely on others. Sure, his team might find him - and he had a good way of contacting them. However, he wasn't going to sit here and wait. Especially considering he would have to play it carefully otherwise Tye would take over and leave him to rot. His eyes narrowed slightly just thinking of her.

Remembering he had company, he quickly buried that. If there was one thing people from Caelum knew how to do - or at least him and Skye - it was mask one's emotions. "I think I have an idea. Or at least I know where I was before waking up in one of these tunnels." He pulled out the small book that he had when they first met. Keeping it positioned slightly away so she couldn't see what was in it, he leafed through looking for the map of Fiore that he had drawn. Finding it he held the book open so she could see. One page had a small integrate map on it. Though etched out, it was very realistic.

"I believe we are somewhere near here - Waas Forest." He pointed, his hand moving to uncover the other page which showed a sketch of a cove from the cliff above. The waves dashed against the side of the rock while a small trail headed down the cliff side to the small cove. "I was in Waas Forest looking....I was there before I woke and found myself in one of these tunnels. I doubt whoever did this took us far." He closed the book with a snap, jaw firm. Whoever had done this would pay. He'd make sure of that.

Very interested in the Andromeda Ascendant story but the others work too :)
Search Status: Open

Greetings!
Thank you for stopping by and checking out my interest thread where you will find various creative worlds just waiting to be explored and expounded upon.

So now that it's out of the way: Stories
Note: I don't list pairings. I'm not a big fan of it (especially as I usually double and have multiple characters). I'm more story based with my characters being built around the story (in most instances).

Non-Fandom Plot Ideas:
*Plots that I have some basic idea built to go from*
Note: These are just skeletons. We can change them as we see fit. You'll find I'm a bit laid back. A good story is something that we both like.

Fandom Story Plots
*Though I'm not a big fan of playing cannon. I can and will do it on some occasions (i.e Andromeda) but I usually prefer OC.

Also, I do like a bit of sci-fi, mystery, and slice of life so I'm open to ideas (or tweaked from above).
Though I love fantasy, I'm not looking to do another fantasy story at the moment (unless you can talk me into it - which....not what I am leaning toward now)

If anything sounds interesting please send me a PM.

Now if you excuse me...
Roger smiled. "Thank you, Will. We'd probably want to head out," he looked at Bea. "Tuesday?" He didn't want to make his friend wait to long. He knew the man was no doubt eager to get moving again and though they needed a couple days to get everything ready, he didn't want to press him to long. At her affirmation, Roger glanced back at Will. "Yes, Tuesday."

There was of course the discussion of the fare but he wasn't to concerned. Whatever it was, the price would be reasonable and he would pay it. What was important was that they find this book that Bea's father left quickly. That and figure out who murdered her father. Roger wondered briefly if he should let the man in on it. Let him know that there was danger. He doubted it would change the offer to take them but it would be courteous, not to mention part of their friendship, to bring it up. But he wouldn't do it now. No. He'd wait until he was alone and bring up his concerns. The man did have a daughter and as much as Roger hoped to travel with him, he didn't want to put anyone else at risk IF for some reason those who killed Bea's father came looking for her.

He wondered where they were and what they were after. Would they still be watching her or was the year enough time for them to believe she didn't have it. He doubted that. They probably had some sleeper agent watching but not really closely. Just someone to make sure there wasn't any major changes in her itinerary. For that, he was going to have to come up with something to make this trip seem nothing out of the ordinary. Last summer they had gone somewhere. She had needed to get away and he obliged her (much to Ms. Mortimer's annoyance). Perhaps if anyone was watching they would think this was the same. Just another summer holiday.

Estella frowned slightly. Well that was stupid of him. She didn't say it though. What mechanic didn't check everything for damage after something like that? But what did she know? She was just a tinkerer. She raised an eyebrow at Rebeca's comment. She could see that. Unlike her, Rebeca was definitely endowed as - as her mother put it - 'the Rachel of old'. She was the kind of woman that men would be willing to work seven years for. Well - minus the sleezebags of course.

She took another sip of her drink and nodded. "Yeah, that occasionally happens." Probably more so than most realize. Her one tour on an airship had proven that. In all fairness, there were a lot of great mechanics out there. But there were also a lot of people who just shifted the blame to some underling. And though she didn't mind getting yelled at, she preferred it was because of something she did, not something someone else did.

"I can go back with you," she said. "You probably should have your mechanic do a check of everything though before taking off again. Once the Helicoptix is replaced you can take off but if anything else got damaged, you want to know about it before you have any troubles. Maybe he's doing that now." She liked to give people the benefit of the doubt even though, Rebeca was right. He didn't seem like the type to do so.

"Here's your food. Packaged up like Rufus likes it." The bartender set a box in front of Estella. "Oh. Thanks." She said paying him, making sure there was a bit extra for his trouble.
The mechanic was not at all helpful. Roger missed the old one. This one he didn't trust. He had seen a couple 'discrete' glances toward Bea that the man shot. It seemed strange that William would hire this man but then again, one did what they needed to do. The old mechanic probably retired and finding a replacement isn't as always as everyone thought.

Following Bea into the ship, Roger followed. Considering she never had been on this ship before, she seemed to know where she was going. Entering the bridge he smiled at the Captain and shook the worn hand. "Passage. We're looking at traveling to Glasglow probably next week." Remembering his manners, he introduced Bea to the Captain. "William, this is Miss Beatrix Brown. A good friend of mine and daughter of the professor I used to work for. Bea, this is Captain William Axford. We met last summer." He didn't elaborate how they met or that it entailed security detail for some valuable cargo.

With the formal introductions out of the way and the pleasantries taken care off, Roger went back to the business at hand. "We're seeing if we can find passage to Glasglow and then back here to London probably mid-next week. I thought I saw your ship and was wondering if you were headed that way."

~ ~ ~

That was a relief. Pride was something that could be hurt and in her opinion was better than actual injury. But then again, from her brief encounter with the man, she doubted the mechanic would agree with her. But it wasn't her place to judge. In a way, she could possibly see his point. You get some girl come in and say something that doesn't make any sense. Then it happens and he gets the blame. Not that she was going to provide any pity. Though not an airship mechanic, if someone genuinely gave her a warning, she might look into it - even if she didn't believe them.

Anyway, she set her drink down and looked at Rebeca. "Sure, I can bring the parts back." She didn't mind delivering parts or heading back to the ship. She doubted though that the mechanic would want her poking around the ship. Not to mention she wasn't sure about that as well. It wasn't her place - she'd help if asked but at the same time, as her mother used to say, "gayst deyn eygn gesheft" - mind your own business. "Did Rufus get all the parts you needed?" She asked.

Her surprise was evident when Rebeca mentioned there was only one part. "Only one?" She blinked surprised. Had the schmuck even looked at the rest of the engine or had he just looked at the one part? She wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt but with an airship starting to take off only to crash back down again - there had to be more than one part needed. She hoped for their sakes that he didn't just assume it was the one. It would just make things worse and delay them more.
The man was very helpful. However, Roger did not come back with a snappy reply. He smiled politely. "Can you get him?" He asked. Though the mechanic didn't seem to mind that they boarded, still, a ship was like a house. You didn't just walk on without permission. Many ship captains didn't like just anyone on their vessel wondering around and though Roger knew he'd probably fine - as he knew the man - he still didn't want to overstep his place.

The mechanic looked at him like he was an idiot. "I'm waiting for a," he paused glancing at Bea before saying what probably was going to be a curse word due to the pause and the rephrasing. "I'm waiting for a part. Should have been here by now." He said, clearly not wanting to be bothered by them. "Just go in. The ol' man is no doubt on the bridge or something."

Roger raised an eyebrow at the insult. No doubt if William would have heard that he would have not been pleased. What ever happened to that older mechanic. That nice man? He was a bit nicer and would have either gotten the captain or escorted them to him. Roger glanced toward the door. "And Rebeca?" He asked.

"She's the one I'm waiting for." The mechanic pulled out a cigar and lit it up. He crossed his arms and sighed. "Where is she?" He muttered annoyed. He really wanted to get this stupid part fixed so he could head out. She no doubt got lost but he wasn't going to go find her.
~ ~ ~

Estella declined the offer with a slight shake of her head and a smile. She listened to Rebeca. If she was given a nickel for every time she had been blamed for something that wasn't her fault, she'd be rich...well not really but still have quiet a few nickels. She tilted her head slightly at what to her seemed like an interesting statement. Was their an implied question behind it? She took a drink and decided not to answer it. She gave no defense, no reasoning as to why or how she knew. Instead she glanced over.

"Was anyone hurt?" She asked. There was slight concern. She didn't think so. Rebeca looked fine but you never knew. It all depended on how high they got before the Helacoptz went out. She didn't think it would have gotten that high but you never knew. She hoped no one got hurt. As it was, she was wondering if she should have voiced her concern to the captain. Immediately, she dismissed it. She had reported it to the mechanic. Though, she could have gone over his head, it hadn't been her call to do so. There were times you did but times you didn't.

Thankfully no one was hurt. For that Estella was grateful. She looked back at her drink. She was slightly curious as to why Rebeca had come looking for her. From the earlier statement, she didn't think the woman blamed her for the accident. Was she here because she figured Estella paid for the part? Oh she hoped not. She didn't want a big scene from it. But she couldn't think of why else she'd be here. So she waited. She could be patient and she wasn't going to come out and rudely ask.
Trex frowned slightly. He had received one or two letters early in the war but the squad he had been with had been a lot on the move and deep in Seven territory so that hadn't been surprising. They hadn't had a lot of correspondence let alone communication while in Seven territory. Not only had it been hard to track them down but it hadn't been wanted for the enemy to know where they were at any given moment. He smiled gratefully at Maryjane as she set a drink in front of him.

"Welcome back, Trex. Glad you made it safe," she said giving him a smile though there was a hint of sadness in her eyes. Not every Fairy Tail wizard had made it back. It was mostly some of the newer ones but still... Every member held a place in her heart. She headed off, knowing the team wanted to get caught up.

Trex took a drink and then looked at Flynn. "I wonder if the Master knows where she is." The war had ended about a three weeks ago. It had only taken him so long to get back due to where he had been. Though there was a possibility that she could have been deployed in a area that made her return a bit longer, it didn't seem likely. Not from what Flynn had said and what her initial letters had mentioned. The war hadn't gone on to long for the wizards to be reassigned much. "You don't think she's MIA do you?" He asked.

He didn't care about the slight fact the questions made him look concerned. He was concerned. She was a teammate and...maybe he did feel something more. He usually didn't dwell on the feelings he had. They were teammates and he had been content to leave it be. But war and battle changes things. Especially considering he hadn't seen her in some time. In the past, they had fought side by side against monsters. And though he might have been slightly worried at times, he had always had her back - and her him - so it hadn't been as difficult.
~ ~ ~

Ryzo frowned slightly as he noted the lack of strength behind the throw. His quick eyes examined her. She didn't look to good. Her hands were rough, she looked a bit gaunt - like she hadn't eaten in awhile. How long had she been here? Why hadn't she left the cavern? It didn't make sense to sit here while there were caverns to explore. Sure, there was a trickle of water here to drink but she looked like she hadn't left this room in some time. He frowned and turned, a heavy suspecion hitting him. Sure enough, the entrance he had came through was gone replaced with cave wall. Magic. His eyes narrowed. He would have to examine it more intently but first...

He looked back at Zelia. Ignoring the fact she told him to sit elsewhere he headed over and sat down next to her. She was weak. Though she hadn't seem pleased she really didn't attack him. "How long have you been here?" He asked quietly. There was some concern in his voice.

Reaching into his cloak he pulled out something wrapped in cloth. Unwrapping it partly, he withdrew some dried meat of some kind. He was from Caelum. It was always a good idea to carry some supplies on you in case of emergency. Putting the majority of it back, he held it out to Zelia. "It's perfectly fine," he said not knowing how she'd respond. "If I wanted you dead, wouldn't I just let you starve?" There was a slight hint of sarcasm in his tone. But then again, he didn't blame her lack of trust. He had been the one responsible for keeping her asleep that one time. Something he had not regretted.

He leaned against the cave wall and glanced around the small room. It wasn't that big. It wasn't too bad except you couldn't escape and apparently there was no food in here. Thankfully, there was water. Otherwise, he might have ran across Zelia's corpse. And then followed her in death within a few antagonizing days.
Everyone should have expected it. Those along the border had seen feared it. The tensions had been near an all time high between the kingdoms of Fiore and Seven. However, it was still a surprising shock when Seven launched a surprise magical attack. They completely took over the local garrison and pushed into Fiore. The army was not prepared to face so many magic users. Thus the guilds were called up. Every available wizard was recruited and assigned to different battalions and groups to fight the invasion. Trex volunteered to serve with his brother and ended up separated from the rest of his team.

Though it was a bit brutal and some of the battles fierce, the war itself didn’t last that long. The devastation in the first early months caused the other nations to rise up and demand a cease-fire. Anything large scale fighting with magic brought a lot of concern. There hadn't been a large scale magical war since Zerif and the ramifications of that had been nearly devastating. It was said that only due to the Dragons and fairies, had the world been saved. And considering both species were now gone, one extent and the other who knows where, there wouldn't be anyone to save them. Thus the other nations forced a cease-fire. It didn’t solve the issues but it ended the war.

Making his way back to Magnolia, Trex was grateful for the peace though he didn’t know how long it would last. The relations between Seven and Fiore hadn’t been good for a long time now and had only kept deteriorating. And even though the war was over, Fiore was bottled up tight. Per the agreement, wizards on both sides had to go back to their guilds but no one commented about those that did ‘quests’ near the border to keep an eye out – on both sides. As it was, no one was allowed in or out of the country and all foreigners were continued to be looked down as spies. That brought a slight concern as Trex wondered how Skye faired. Though, she had done well to hide it, she was foreign born. Though he doubted the team would have given her away, there was still an option that she could have been discovered. He pushed the worry aside. Flynn would have said something. She had been with him and Lucy and if something had happened, Flynn would have contacted him and Zelia.

Zelia. Just the thought of her made him pick up his pace. He hoped she was doing well. They both had been so busy that he didn’t know where she was at the moment or what she had been doing during the war. He had to believe she was safe. He had monitored the list of the dead carefully and frequently keeping an eye on his guild mates and his teammates. Though the guild had lost several wizards, none of the team had been mentioned. So that meant she had to have been safe. Reaching the street and seeing the guild hall made him move a bit quicker. Entering he glanced around. His eyes lit up briefly as he spotted Flynn, Skye and Lucy in the corner. Good. Flynn had mentioned in message that they were headed back. He headed over to them.

“Hey.” He smiled wearily. He laughed and slapped Flynn on the back. “Glad you managed to stay out of trouble.” He nodded to Skye. “Skye.”
Skye watched the former teammates exchange greeting. She gave a slight nod to Trex when he acknowledged her. “Trex. Glad to see you made it.”

There was no hint of accent in her tone – as usual. But what was surprising – at least to Trex – was there was a bit of emotion behind the words, indicating she was actually glad. That was different. Trex was going to have to talk to Flynn later and see what was going on. Skye was usually very closed. Tucking it away for later, he turned to Lucy. “Hi Lucy. Glad you’re doing well. I heard the rest of your team managed to make it through safely. Though Natsu did cause a major ruckus in Tontin.” He said referring to a border town. It was disputed that the dragon slayer might have caused more harm than good when he drove off the invaders. But that was Natsu.

It was good to be back. He sat down and glanced around, hoping to see Zelia just walk up. But no. He looked at the others. “So, anyone hear from Zelia?” He tried to keep his tone nonchalant.

Ryzo walked along the tunnel looking for a way out. How he got here was still undetermined. But what he did know was none of his magic worked. The collar around his neck ensured that. His fist tightened. Again, he vowed that he’d find those responsible. Not that he was completely helpless. Unlike most wizards he didn’t fully rely on his magic abilities – especially considering they were a bit…peculiar. Combine that with the fact he grew up in Caelum – the wild, danger infested islands off the cost of Fiore, he had no concern about his survival. Though, he did wish he knew where he was and how he got here.

Walking, he slowed as he saw a room ahead. There was a shadow – someone was in there. This was the first individual he had seen since arriving. He wondered if they would be a threat. Reaching into his cloak, his hand tightened on his knife – which surprisingly had been left. Everything had remained left alone – only his magic and the collar was different.

Stepping into the room, he stopped surprised. He hadn’t expected to see her here. He let go of the knife and slipped his hand back out of his cloak. However, he was still weary. Last they met they had been enemies. “Zelia. Pleasure.” His accent was obvious and he stayed by the door watching to see how she would react.
Roger glanced over at Bea. "I'm sure it gets a bit frustrating," he said. No doubt she felt a bit confined in by Ms. Mortimer. The woman was could be a bit difficult. And that was with him not living under the same roof as her. Bea had to deal with a lot more than he did, and it probably didn't help she was the land lady.

They walked toward the docks. Airships of all shapes and sizes were parked, taking off, or landing. It was a hubbub of activity, despite the late afternoon hour. "You'll probably like the Captain." Roger spoke up as they entered the airfield. "He's a bit of a quieter individual - kind of like me." He gave her a smile. "Though probably more so. Does got a wonderlust though. American. He's got a small crew - his daughter and an older man who is their mechanic. Nice ship. A bit old but comfortable. I haven't ridden in it but I've been in it." He wanted to give her an idea of the vessel and crew before they got there.

They rounded the bend and Roger smiled seeing the airship. Good. He was still here. Roger had been a bit afraid that he had already gone. He lifted a hand in greeting at a passing acquaintance as they came up to the ship. A thin wiry man stood at the entrance glancing at a watch and looking annoyed. His eyes narrowed on them. "Can I help you?"

"I'm here to see, Captain Axford." Roger looked at the man curious. "Are you here to see him as well?"

The man smirked. "I'm the mechanic." He puffed out his chest. "Best there is out there."

Seeing as she still needed to wait for her order - not to mention Rebeca was undoubtedly here for her and looked like she wanted to talk here, Estella sat on the bar stool. Well - partially. She angled herself to still watch the tavern as well as face the barkeeper if needed. She watched the local color. She wasn't too concerned about being bothered. Ever since she had improved the bartender's drink dispenser he had been a lot more friendly and had made it known that she wasn't to be bothered. Not that it would have mattered. Though not a fighter, she did grow up with four brothers and had learned a few things since being on her own that helped. She had too. Being a female tinkerer in a predominantly male industry had its challenges.

The bartender brought Rebeca her drink and then turned and set Estella's done. She smiled, having not even had to tell him what she wanted. She did come her a bit. "Thank you Erick."

He nodded. "Brewed just the way you like it."

She smiled and picked up the mug of tea. She looked at Rebeca curious as to why the girl had come here. "Did Rufus send you here?" She asked.
Roger stayed out of the slight discussion though he could hear them from down the hall. He probably should go but it seemed like Beatrix was going to come with him, so he waited. He didn't like to cause issue. Ms. Mortimer undoubtedly meant well - even if she was a bit biased against men. He briefly wondered what might have happened to get her so antagonistic against men in general. But it wasn't his business and he was anything but prying. He wouldn't butt his nose in anyone's business unless absolutely necessary. Still, from an outsider's perspective, there had to be something to cause this. It was more than concern about Beatrix's safety.

He acted nonchalant as they came back into the room. "She'll be home at a reasonable hour, Ms. Mortimer," he promised. He nodded and heading toward the door and opened it for Bea. He smiled at the older woman once more, politely and kindly though she only glared in response.

Muttering something about crazy youth and unscrupulous young men, she glared at Bea. "Dinner is in one hour, Ms. Brown." She narrowed her eyes. She didn't go out and say it but she implied that she wanted the young woman there.

Roger followed Bea out the door. Putting on his hat he refrained from saying anything as they headed down the street toward the docks. He listened to her, letting her get any frustration out. Personally, he didn't care how Ms. Mortimer saw him. It did get frustrating a bit but he could deal with it. In a way they both had Bea's reputation and interest at heart.

The tavern was starting to fill up. A woman dressed a bit immodestly played the piano in the corner as several others went around serving. A couple people glanced Rebeca's way as she entered, then they quickly looked back again. The clientele of the establishment were more blue collar: dock workers, laborers, mine workers, and the like. And a woman like Rebeca brought many looks. One man rose and hiking up his pants came over. "Lookin' for someone darlin'?" He inquired.

"Oh off 'er, John." One of the server girls said, pausing from heading to a table. "She a'int your type." She then continued on not bothering to interfere.

In the corner table, Estella's nimble hands worked as she repaired the broken watch. Tiny pieces lay on the table around her as about half a dozen other tinkerers and onlookers watched over her shoulder. "There you go." She straightened as she put the cover back on. She turned and handed the watch to one of the onlookers. "Good as new." She smiled, her eyes drifting over the room. They flickered slightly upon seeing Rebeca. Wasn't the girl from that ship? What was she doing here? Estella frowned as one of the locals moved in on the woman. "Excuse me." She brushed through the tinkerers and made her way toward the other girl.

"Seein' anyone?" John asked grinning at Rebeca.

"There you are." Estella cut in. "I thought you were going to stay with the ship?" She smiled at the larger man. "Thanks for welcoming her, John. And for keeping the other guys off. You know how they can get." She steered Rebeca away before he could even respond. She looked at the other woman. "He means well but he just got off a long tour over the Atlantic. No women." She said leading Rebeca to the bar. She didn't ask why Rebeca was here. She had a guess it had to do with her. She hoped the young woman wasn't here to argue about her buying the part.
