Yeah I don't want to control the nation, just design it.
Well I was hoping to create some far eastern empire, akin to the Persians, with some pretty exotic style. Big in trading and with some sort of religious cult for their pantheon. That sound alright?
This seems like something I can do in the little spare time I have. Could I have a part in building a nation? (I know it's not a NRP but surely there are nations in it) Or at least a cult/collective that can be found throughout the world.
In anticipation of a great many things starting up IRL for me I'm easily able to see that my time will be limited in the near future. As such I think I'm going to decide to withdraw from this. I'm sorry if this is inconvenient at all but I thought this would be the best time as there is a lot of interest and I haven't impacted anything. I wasn't even accepted yet XD Good luck with it all though! Sorry again, it does look a great RP I just don't want to commit to it when I know I won't be able to down the line -_- this also means the God of the underworld is for the taking, you can Raw-view my CS and use anything you want from it to whomever takes my place. Good luck with it and have fun guys!!
A question to both of you I suppose (Paper angel + Seuss) would it fit that I am the child of Aroesus and Vaela? You said Seuss that being a child of Aroesus would be just as fine as being his brother and, well you want a child Paper Angel :P How about the God of the underworld?
Ello. I don't know if you remember me but I was in the last version. I played Nihris lastborn, and was the creator of Lymaeus too. I was hoping to use Nihris again but there is already a god who does the ferrying between this world and the underworld. Can I still use her?
Things that come to mind if you still want something associated with the underworld - God of Tartarus? Imprisonment and isolation maybe? you could be the one in charge of keeping all the big nasties from getting out of Tartarus. Alternatively you could be our version of Thanatos, essentially the Grim Reaper, the personification of death. We have a Charon and a Hades. Someone to take souls to Hell and one to lord over them there, but we could use someone who turns people from mortal to soul ;D You could make the god of judgment? The three judges of the underworld, Radamanthus, Minos and Aeacus could all be one deity perhaps? so you judge the souls that come into the underworld maybe? Or the Fates? getting further away from Hades now, but the three women who decide fate? One to weave the string, one to judge the length of the string, one to cut it etc etc.
Some questions Sir Seuss! 1. Considering I am the god of the Underworld could I parallel with actual Greek Mythology and consider myself a brother of Aroseus as Hades was to Zeus? Or did you have a different idea in mind? 2. For the 'Servants + Prominent Followers' section can we essentially create ourselves 'Champions' of the mortal realm? Or do we just describe, in essence, how large our worship base is and how devoted on average everyone is? 3. Again a parallel to Hades, not many temples and 'places of worship' were in place to the god of the underworld, so I was thinking there was more of an unspoken 'cult' that is known about but not exactly frowned upon, no one really speaks of it. Think fight club be more socially acceptable, would that be alright? 4. Is it alright If I leave the relationships section empty for now until others get accepted? I'll probably do likewise for the history section however dependant on the answer to question 1. 5. Not really a question, can you check my appearance section. I've stated that he doesn't really talk face-to face and instead uses a minion, is that alright? Or do you want them to be there the majority of the time?
Name/Titles - Pannax Sex/Gender - Male Pantheon/Affiliation - Deity Patronage - The Underworld Appearance - It is difficult for Pannax to leave the underworld. As such he rarely speaks to others face to face, and instead opts to summon his Seer to the human world in his place. This servant of Pannax speaks directly for the God as the two are linked in both body and mind. There are occasions in which Pannax must manifest himself, generally in order to manage serious matters. His preferred form in this case is not dissimilar from his true appearance, however his face is absent as he believes others are not worthy to look upon him. Parentage - WIP (You can say things like "the sky" with a straight face here. Joy. Joy too. You can come sprung fully grown out of dad's skull. You can be descended of a goose and your mom, who clearly didn't have high standards.) Centers of Worship/Places of Power - WIP (Example: Athens and Athena, the Oracle of Delphi and Apollo, Achilles, descended of a river nymph...so on and so forth. A deity may be a patron of a city or a kingdom, but I am going to say that deities cannot control the free will of mortals, that's what makes them so irritating, and thus while able to influence events in these places, they will not have absolute power over them. There is a give and take between such worshipers and their deities, too, as the patron is expected to do things for their patronage.) Servants, Prominent Followers and Worship Base - WIP (I'm looking for an idea of what sort of people follow your deity and an idea of what sort of spirits/beings might be their servants, through which they make their wills be known. Prominent worshipers would mean prophets, kings and otherwise important mortals that are loyal to your deity. This can, of course, include playwrights, poets, singers and so forth...be creative. Worship base are the normal everyday people of various trades, tribes, nationalities and so forth who might find your god to be their patron/matron.) Psychology - Pannax is the god of the underworld, this is a huge responsibility and power and his psychology reflects as much. He is an egotistical deity who believes he is both essential and respected among the Pantheon. His arrogance has gotten to the rather ironic level that Pannax does not boast of his power, it is readily assumed. He finds it confusing when others do not see him in such a light and equally assumes that anyone who does not believe him to be the mightiest of the gods is ignorant of such matters. His visage is obviously quite bleak and frightening, considering the domain he lords over. But Pannax is fair and he listens to what people have to say, he has such a vibrant collection of souls he finds each and every one has something worthy of learning. So he can be quite the reasonable person unless he is angered, as do many gods Pannax has a very cruel streak. When someone questions his prominence, power or any such act of hubris towards him he can become a very sour and violent deity. History - WIP (An explanation of from whence the deity came and what befell them in various events. It's not a bad idea to cooperate with other players on this and expand as you see fit.) Relationships - WIP (Loves, hates, lusts, crushes, affairs, rapes, incests, zoophilia incidents with shepherd girls (always a Jovian favorite) and the like. Oh, and mere alliances and rivalries, as well. Probably fueled by the above. You don't have to list every character, just the ones your character actually has ties to/strong feelings for.)
Uhhh...Interested. Hades seems fun, or at least our version of.
Stripped from my mind!
