Forget I said anything.
Well... a Lazer is based on light and there is no element in light to my knowledge so I'm not sure there's a way to do it

I wouldn't transmute the light directly, I would use Alchemy to make something that gives off large amounts of light and then focus it. Obviously there would be some poetic licence but this is anime based.
Uhhhh, alchemy is more about larger stuff, reshaping atoms at a molecular level is a bit much

Would it be viable if I had a way to do the same thing without the molecular manipulation?
With only two people? As I said I'm only keeping an eye on this, me joining isn't set in stone I'm afraid.
In theory it would be the atoms left without electrons. Either way I'm off the idea :)
Yeah I thought it might be a bit much, I'll think of something else.
Can I throw something by you? Trying to think of a power for my alchemist and I've thought of a few things but I want it to be scientifically plausible obviously. I have an idea but I'm not sure if it's just going too far and I should just make something more simple, I might have overthought it.

Power - In Lehmans terms I can rip electrons from one atom and bond them to another, these new electrons will be quite far from the atom nucleus and therefore be quite unstable. Quite quickly the electron will become too unstable and drop closer towards the nucleus, when this happens energy is released in the form of photons, if my guy had a way to focus those photons I can essentially shoot laser beams.

Too complicated or would that be alright with everyone? I'm happy to come up with something simpler.

I've always liked Tablua Rasa (Blank slate) could link to what the terrorists are doing/how this all ends. Equivalent exchange sounds good to me.
Not necessarily. As long as the players would work towards a good story rather than anything else I wouldn't see a problem with knowing the plot. The RP is the journey to the end point which would all be of our own making.

As for the actual storyline, I feel something that starts small, or at least something that the military is tryinn to keep quiet would be our initial premise with the plot unfolding and showing that this terrorist cell or whatever it may be actual could force a large conflict.
