The game is officially started. Deadline for orders is set for next sunday, 15:00 eastern time.

You will see I've added a global disaster in our distant past as a unifying element for our civs and give us a base of reference for the year in the game.

I should announce too that Tapscott is my co-gm for this venture, as well as the leader of Thangia. He will be assisting me with stats and writing updates. He has gm'd games in the past, and though i suspect he may be a sexual deviant, im willing to overlook this as he is a good writer and GM. Take a bow, Tapp.

And so we begin. Once Tatsua has his nation up, I shall finish the map, in the meantime feel free to begin your IC, post your nation sheets in the characters tab and give us some juicy lore posts so we can learn about your kingdom.
Kingdoms of Crypso

Over 2000 years ago the world of Crypso was struck with a devastating disaster of global proportions. A massive continent known as Pangea was home to numerous races and many benign and power hungry kingdoms. The peoples of the world forged peace through the quill and the sword. Wars were numerous, and it seemed that the races of the world were their own greatest enemies, until the Great Cataclysm came.

On the day of reckoning, the seas churned and boiled, sinking the coastlines in fuming waters. Great rents opened up in the cryp, swallowing entire cities and spewing out fiery magma. The sky rained down fire, rendering civilizations into dust. It was as if all the world was coming to an end.

In the aftermath, much of Pangea was now broken and sunken under the sea. The great land is now split into two continents with the last survivors of the world. To the east is Great Estros, and Wessos to the West. Upon the ashes of Pangea, great kingdoms rose once again, piecing together what remained of their broken people. For the past millenia, these kingdoms have been concerned with consolidating their own power within their corners of the world, living a largely isolated existance. Now, their power strong and civilizations rebuilt, the Kingdoms of Crypso venture out into the wider land, to claim their place as the greatest kingdom of all the world.

It is the spring of year 2799 of the Great Cataclysm and the once isolated kingdoms stand poised to forge a new place on the global stage. This is their story...
On Edicts and Investments

Edicts are laws or treaties implemented through your orders that enact a lasting modifier to your stats. They will be listed in your stats for easy reference and the effects may decay over time, and require an order to abolish. For example, a player may wish to spend a war order to establish a professional standing army. The results of this order will be shown in your stats under the edict heading, detailing the effects. Another player may use a diplomatic order to enter into a trade deal with another kingdom, the results of which will be displayed in their stats.

Players should be aware that each order you implement will have a cost attributed to the order. Cost of war orders are typically inherit in the cost of army maintenance, but establishing war edicts may be added to your expense. Other edicts may also come with an added expense. The cost of a successful order, however, is generally minimal. A one time charge will be levied against your treasury for failed orders, a figure determined randomly by the roll of the die with a max of 5k. Keep this in mind when doing orders.
Is this already full?

Afraid so. Sorry.
Got a start on stats. Check them out here.
Interested. I like the idea of advancing quickly through the centuries so our civs can grow, or decay, quickly through the game.
That'd be great.

I'll have the map finished and stats up on Sunday, Monday at the latest.
Not at all! I'll have a lot of NPCs to write for, so this is for the best, keep my workload lighter. Its great to have you.
I was about to say that I might be willing to take the spot after all, since my schedule cleared up.

lol - please, by all means, its yours if you want it.
