just thought I'd post what I have so far for the map...

as you can see, the county is carved up into the major territories; the urban center of Paradise Falls, the rocky hills of Custard Hills, the tranquil Appalachia Forest, the Placid Riverbanks, Wick's Marsh and Sinjeway Badlands. Each territory can accommodate multiple players and each be populated with NPCs and offer their own challenges.
Count me in!

This has certainly caught my interest. Yet I wonder how much land there will be for us to claim at first.

Thanks for popping by.

I will have a lot of diverse territories for players to choose from, with a bit of a buffer zone around them so they may expand without much conflict for the early game. A city block might be a good start, rich with supplies but an abundance of zombies, whereas a rural farm might be offer little danger in the beginning, but be sparse in supplies.

Good to know you're already diving into the site. You have my interest, but will you explain the faction system a bit more? Are players taking the role of individual characters or entire groups (I ask because the wording confuses me somewhat)?

Thanks for your interest.

Players will assume the role of a faction leader, responsible for leading their followers in the harsh, post apocalyptic landscape. While player's in-character posts, or ICs may be from the perspective of this leader, any orders you submit to me will bolster or hinder your faction stats, such as supplies, survivors, and morale.
Thank you very much!

Dead County

Welcome to Paradise County, USA. Don't let the name fool you though, the locals have decided to go off the census for a more fitting name, Dead County. The zombie plague has hit this diverse area hard. The forests, cities, towns and deserts are now teeming with the undead. Mindless flesh eaters that are slaves to one lone instinct. There is no remorse, no reasoning, only hunger. There are some, however, that should be feared even over the undead... The fall of civilization has hit the living hard, and in order to survive, some have become monsters themselves.

In Dead County, players will take the role of a group of survivors struggling to rebuild civilization. Land will be a precious resource as different areas will yield certain perks. Players will be expected to compete with other groups for resources, forming alliances and enemies as they see fit. The overall goal of the game is to acquire enough land and resources to begin building suitable infrastructure that will adequately defend your people from the zombie threat.

Features
- A detailed map clearly showing terrain, player locations, and hazards
- Simple stats to keep RP grounded and realistic
- Weekly updates and semi-weekly mini-updates
- NPCs to add flavour and increased player choice
- Player freedom to develop a faction that best suites you, within reason :p

So if such a game would interest you, please let me know here, and if i get enough interest, ill have the game up very soon.
