Current For the same reason it was able to gather its power, I will not bow to it. Freedom is for everyone; not just the loudest voice.

If you can't support your argument...you don't have an argument.

Bio

I return from a long hiatus, in the hopes that roleplaying has once again returned to the art of inclusive storytelling. Prove me right and I will stay. Prove me wrong and I will go.

I do? Well, here goes.

Your character has been discovered by enemy agents. You have time to grab only one object from the room you're in. What is that object and how does it help you to escape capture?

For Sam, that object is a high-power portable radio transmitter. 90% of modern pursuit tactics, military or police, hinge on use of radio communications to coordinate personnel. With the right tweaks, a radio transmitter could completely blanket those frequencies. Without that communication, every officer would basically be on his own; no support from command, no information from other officers...nothing but his own eyes and ears to rely on. Hell, I'll bet it's even possible to set it up so that it uses cell towers or Wi-Fi hotspots as signal relays. If that's the case, you couldn't even pinpoint her location by tracking the signal; it'd be like trying to figure out which raindrop hit the puddle first.
Who gets to ask the next question?

You were given a $50 gift card to anywhere. Where would your character go and what would they buy?

"Either lockpicks or a decent set of bolt cutters. There are at least fifty junkyards in this town, and I can score enough spare parts and junked tech to outfit my entire rig. Put a price on that."
Sam thumps into the glass while fiddling with one of her gadgets. She looks up, arches an eyebrow, comments: "Why wouldn't they install a motion detector and motorized actuator? They're not that expensive." She takes some notes on the required equipment and goes back to doing her thing.
Probably should have said something about being in Chicago for two days. Oh well. I'm back now. ^_^
Even through the haze of her concussion, Sam recognized the implications of Wilson's plea. An ordinary person would relive past experiences in short, disjointed images, and vague recollections of emotional responses relating to the subject at hand. Sam was far from being an ordinary person. At the mention of his title, her mind branched from that central point, noting every detail she'd picked up during her study of medical staff while she'd been under lock and key. A medical man meant treatment of injuries, but it also meant risk. She knew how they loved their mind-altering chemicals.

"Oh, good," she grated. "A doctor. I haven't seen enough of those."

Still, their options were steadily and rapidly dwindling. The cold, methodical calculations in her mind wound down to just two possibilities which, in this place, at this time, mattered at all to her survival: A shot from a syringe or a shot from a handgun. Given her mental scoresheet, she'd survived the former for quite a while. It made sense to go with what she knew over what she didn't. With a mental note to watch his every move, Sam silently -and grudgingly- resolved to help Wilson.

"For now." she reminded herself. There was no sense in making long-term commitments. Not to one of them.
Yay Reformers! I just hope they have a garage with enough tools and supplies to make Sam happy.
I feel like it may be unpopular to point this out, but...assassination will leave just as many unfilled shifts as laziness. Maybe more.
I do.
Ooh, plot twist. If he was in the infirmary, there's no reason to expect he'd be taken with the original group; that is, of course, unless Reformer intel had his location at that specific time. He could still be there.
