NAME:
Aloe

ABSTRACT:
An aloof Changeling who rather be lost than found.

INTENT:
To immerse himself in mazes, emerge more than victorious, and perhaps light the travelers’ way… if he ever feels like it.

FIRST ADVENTURE:
Swapped at birth for a human child, Aloe was raised inside the city. Often plagued by the voices of his human parents and the bustles of the city, he was inspired to search for an escape. One night, his parents were particularly loud, as his lamp shook along with their rising voices. He snuck out into the backyard and found a small space beneath the bushes. Almost like magic, he found what seems like a different place. What is merely an over grown garden in his neighbor’s yard is a place of solitude in his eyes. He sat with the soil that dampened his feet and the hedges that loomed overhead. He marveled at what he hears – who knew silence could be so loud?

HOW DO YOU KNOW KETTLE?
It was rare to see a living person inside a decaying maze, and even rarer to find one that didn’t try to stab him on sight. Kettle was the first face he had seen in days that was not just a pile of bones. She sat next a bonfire, roasting a meal, when he had crept close. Usually he would have shrug off such meetings and continue on his way unnoticed; however, Kettle has uncanny intuition. She noticed him within a moment’s notice and invited him to share the fire. He has to admit – Kettle wasn’t such a bad companion to have when navigating through the unknown.

WHY DID KETTLE PICK YOU?
His charismas may not have won him anything, but his experience certainly did. Having traversed numerous mazes and lived to tell the tale, Aloe is a capable navigator and scout. It helps that he’s both small and nimble to maneuver his way through tight spaces.

HOW DO YOU KNOW NEL STEVENS?
He had never met her. Heard of her? Unfortunately, yes. How could he have forgotten after her parents – the famous adventurers, Lenny and Henrietta Stevens – nearly drove him crazy with talks of their child? As much as he tried to ditch them in the caverns (the place he accidentally encountered them), their curious spirits (and talk of food) kept him in place – as well as the need to finish marking the right path out of here. Overall, they were nice people...

HOW DO YOU KNOW LEON MARQUISE?
The hunter nearly killed him in that stone ruins, is what he did. Aloe was minding his own business, making marks along the walls, until an earthshattering roar made him break his chalk. As the earth shook beneath him, he looked to the corridor -- to see a giant beast running at him while Leon was on its tail, weapons in hand. It's kind of hard to survive if the Changeling have only few rocks to chuck at it. Let's just say it took a while for things to settle down... with a few broken walls and bruises on his person.
@SiliconColt
Hi, I would like to toss in my interest! Is it still possible for me to apply?
@Raijinslayer Niti is probably bisexual, leaning toward men. Pffft, and nah. He has no interest in joining any harems since he sees Sage as only a guild mate and was only joking (or was he? >_>) Niti have a terrible habit of being an unintentional flirt when, in actuality, he's just giving everyone a pet name and handing out dramatic expressions like hotcakes.

The halls are a bit busier than expected as Niti made his way toward his desired destination. Or, at the very least, the direction he hoped would lead him there. Directions shouldn't (hopefully) pose much of a problem. Left or right, this whole stadium was a gigantic circle so it didn’t matter either way. Sure, he had gotten lost before (a lot), but he got better at navigation. A circle was easy-cheesy... maybe.

People both young and old mingled near the walls and railings, a few people hurried toward their seats, and others stood in long lines for the toilets. The Soap Mage maneuvered his way around the crowds with ease and in quick steps, managing to even pass by a person who was balancing a mountain load of snacks and popcorn in their arms without much trouble.

Every time he passed by an opening or a balcony, out of the corner of his eyes, he could see the match in short glimpses. A few ice there and a giant energy beam here. It wasn't long before he felt tempted to watch and, being a slave to his own temptation, he finally stopped and looked over the heads of the audience.

“Whoa, look at them go.” Niti let out a low whistle as the battle was heating up. He began to hop up and down, waving his arms above his head. “GO STACY! GO SAGE! YOU LOVELIES COULD DO BETTER!” He hollered in contribution to some team spirit. Down below, one of the Harpies prepared an impressive-looking arm canon while the other stood ready with flaming arrows. On the other side, Stacy stood next to… err…

“…Dreamboat’s missing.” Niti raised an eyebrow, lowering his arms with a slight affectionate roll of his eyes. Of course he would disappear. The blind mage did have a tendency of doing that even with his own guild mates. It was part of the whole lone-wolf image Sage managed to cook up and maintain. He was doing a good too since he still got this air of mystery going for him.

With a sigh, Niti pouted and turned away from the battle, continuing his path down the crowded halls.

“Does anyone know the quickest way to the judges’ booth?” He asked out loud to no one in particular, mostly to himself.

“What are you complaining about, Yuuka? You gave me a good beating…” Niti sullenly huffed, twisting in his seat to face the Wood Dragon Slayer. With a pout, he could remember all the smacks and near ass-kicking given to him by the fair maiden. “I narrowly won all those spars by pure luck… and because you just so happened to be a klutz.” Quickly, he held up his arms in his defense. “You kept slipping on my soap bubbles and knocking yourself out!”

Niti paused for a moment, letting Yuuka’s words sink in. He stared at Sage with a look of horror, dramatically aghast. “Sage, I should’ve known of your dastardly plans of getting a harem! Am I not allowed to be a part of it?” He spoke before he was interrupted by the announcer.

“...We welcome you Sage Ruzuzaki and the newest member of Lamia Scale, Stacy Kaiser!"

He... He remembered that voice. It wasn't the voice of a young man that had announced the beginning of the games. No, it was a woman's voice this time and, for some reason, it reminded him of someone. The voice tugged at his ears. Niti lifted his head and looked out toward the audience, toward the source of the announcement. Among the judges in the booth, an oddly familiar woman was seated. Her elegant appearance and dignified stance was a distant cry of a much younger version in his memories.

Could it be? Is that…

“Kyou!” The name felt almost foreign on his tongue. Niti stared in awe as he leaned over the railing to get a better look. However, Hana blocked his view as she waved toward a stoic fella who happened to be in the same booth as Kyou and spoke of her disappointment in the match-up.

Oh! The match! He has to focus on that right now.

As quick as a switch, he straightened and flashed a smile at Sage. “Welp, you’re up, dreamboat. Go wreck them!” He clapped his hands and looked to the newest member of Lamia Scale, Stacy Kaiser. He never did have the chance to talk to her since most of the time she was drunk and barely coherent. It was almost like talking to a brash iceberg before he decided to just go with it. “Best of luck, lovelies! Make us proud!”

“Oh, who am I kidding? I’m already proud of you two! Come here!” Just as he was about to tackle the two players with a hug, Stacy fell over the railings. He winced as he was pretty sure he heard a sound very similar to a “SPLAT.” Nevertheless, he peered over the railings and settled for a wave. Hugs can come in later.

As the cage rose, Niti bounced for the door, none too subtly gazing at the judges’ booth. “I’m heading out for a bit. Give Sage and Stacy a giant hug if I don’t come back in time!” There was no doubt in his voice. His confidence in his teammates’ abilities was unwavering since members of Lamia Scale were no pushovers. “Give me a holler if you need me~”
My Lamia character, Niti, is still in. It's just that... I'm kinda stuck on what to do next.
Niti Laevis

A fortress of medical books surrounded Niti as he plowed through numerous pages. Dark bags formed under his unusually tired eyes. It wasn’t long before his head drooped and promptly smacked against the table.

“Gah! I’m awake!” He yelped, jolting back up as a piece of paper clung to his forehead. Erg, what time is it? Dazed, Niti quietly looked around before his eyes closed in on a nearby clock.

Oh, isn’t about time he-- Ah crap! Didn’t he promise Yuuka that he’ll train with her? He was going to, but with a whirlwind of events happening (like nearly being blown up, Sage being arrested, the guild nearly being closed down, and Anna’s mysterious reveal about Jeanne), he completely forgot and spent most of his time either studying or panicking. While research and knowledge are all dandy and well, theories are as useful as throwing pebbles in the Grand Magic Games. Besides... Niti looked at the ground, deep in thought. He really needed to get stronger.

Quickly closing all his books and pushing them into a messy pile, he dashed right out of the library room, leaving a trail of dust in his wake, as he ran through the halls of the guild.

“YUUUUUKKKKAAAA, I’M SORRY! TRAIN WITH ME!” He called out with teary eyes. Suddenly, he paused; a thought suddenly struck him. “AND SOMEONE TEACH ME THEIR HEALING MAGIC! GIVE ME THE INJURED!”
Yo, everybody. Sorry for suddenly disappearing off into void without warning. Some stuff got... messy for me IRL. Welp, time for me to catch up and read the many, many pages to see what the heck Niti should be doing.
@Rakurai I'm sincerely sorry to hear about this. Like what KoL said, hit me up if you ever want to do this again (hopefully, I can actually go through with my promises of posting). Also, I don't find this a waste of time since I saw some pretty awesome RPers here. Anyways, best of luck and I hope your circumstances will get better.
