Current I beat Ludwig on the first try. Then got wrecked three times by the hunter upstairs. God. Dammit.

Bio

I was having an argument with the Shadows of Yharnam last night - lovely fellows I'm sure, but they just won't let anyone else get a word in edgeways - and I said, "It sure would be wonderful to find a Bloodborne RP that wasn't already dead."

"Ha, as if!" Said the zippy chap with the katana, before stabbing me a few times and getting me stuck in a corner. "You'll never find one."

Then I died. But it's no bother really. Long story short, Google led me here and I found a RP just starting up. Marvellous luck - take that, katana bastard! Who's the loser now, eh?

Sorry mine was so late. I get these flurries of super-awesome funtime migraines occasionally, they'll knock me out for a day or two. But, post is up now, hope it's not too antagonistic XD My guy isn't exactly sold on Ash right now... Danny's not a morning person, and maaaaan this is stressful stuff to deal with before it's even 10am.
For a moment - a little more than a moment, really - Danny was incredibly tempted to just raise his hand and say "How do I get out of this chickenshit outfit?" But, he didn't.

It really wasn't the right time for that kind of thing. A shame: Normally he loved that kind of thing.

His usual, irreverent attitude was missing as he ran the fingertips of his right hand musingly over the tabletop in front of him, eyes fixed upon the repetitive motion; his tone low as he slowly spoke. "So how long have you known about this Crowe guy, anyway? Just found out about him this morning?" His eyes flickered upwards to meet the librarian's gaze. "I mean, he's really dangerous, right? So dangerous that we'd be suicidal or insane not to be terrified of him, right? So... you couldn't possibly have known all about him before, and known what we were up to before, without giving us a fair warning about him. Right?"

His jaw tightened almost imperceptibly, and he leaned forward just a fraction - though the tone of his voice lifted a little, seeming almost friendly. Conversational. "'Cause, a cynical sort might think that you're only dropping this factoid on us right now to make us so paranoid and frightened that we'll go out of our way to be all buddy-buddy with Slayerette there and bring her into the fight, whether she likes it or not. A cynical sort might say, you've made it pretty clear that she really might not. And, a cynical sort might say that if anything terrible had happened to any of these fine people last night - it would kinda have been your fault."

The slow and methodical choice of words, the watchful eyes, the guarded and yet strangely fearless body-language - this wasn't the way that students should be speaking to faculty staff. Perhaps it was closer to the way that deals are brokered in remote lofty towers across the world. Perhaps it had more in common with the way that one carnivorous beast greets another, determining if they were truly a threat. Once the masks were off, why continue the masquerade?

"And I guess what I'm saying is - I'm feeling pretty cynical right now."
Out of a seven period (45~ minutes each) class schedule, four are "core classes"--math, science, English, history, government, whatever. Three are electives.

Emy has the two shop classes because (you hit the "nail" on the head) she wants to be able to make (customize) her own weapons. Her third elective is the 1st period "free period" where she doesn't have a class.

Thanks for explaining that XD We don't have any core classes here, everything in the last two years of school is elective. Which is awesome, means I never had to open a physics textbook again after 16. My character would be taking those shop classes, and one other thing that seemed like an easy option. Maybe computer studies, because when no one's looking he can just go online and look at Imgur.

If you're up for it, Emy and he could have a conversation some time about how to balance the weirdness of having unasked for supernatural powers with having a regular daylight life. Academics say that duality is the means through which humankind can understand God, but it's probably just going to piss teenagers off and make them wish things could be as simple as it is for everyone else. Even if it does mean you can throw people through windows when they annoy you.
As everyone around him talked, and talked, and talked a bit more, Danny adopted his I'm-listening-yep-totally-face that had gotten him through most of his education, and sat up straight with a yawn. He turned in his seat, looking for his bag which was on the floor behind him, just maddeningly out of reach.

He gave a small sigh of annoyance and wiggled his fingers in an irritated fashion; and with a quick jolt, the bag's strap popped upwards as if a tiny elf underneath had thrown it upwards straight into his demanding hand. He hefted the bag into the tabletop in front of him and unzipped it, pulling out a delicious, juicy can of cola from the depths.

Casey was right. Caffeine. Caffeine was the true weapon of gods and men. Fear it. Adore it. drink a bunch of it.

As he popped the top and chugged most of it in one, Adam started to talk; and slowly, a little of what the man-with-the-van was saying started to filter through the sludgy exhaustion and to register in Danny's brain. It sounded bonkers. That was cool.

"So like. What you're saying is. Into every generation one of them is born, one rando in all the world, all chosen and... Stuff. They alone have the strength and skill to fight vamps, demons and the general forces of suckness. And she-" he waved his hand vaguely in the direction of the entire macroverse, "was the thingie?"

He grinned, settling back into his seat, fingertips drumming slightly against the fragile shell of the canned drink in his hand. "That's so dumb. I mean, it's super cool, but it's so... Isn't it so 90's? Like Vertigo-comics brooding superhero 90's?"

He paused briefly, tilting his head to the side, staring thoughtfully into nothingness. "It's also quite a bit like Sailor Moon."
I have Emy doing metal and wood shop. Probably one of those?

Danny is very much a shop class kind of person, so he'd totally be there. It's useful, cos when the teacher isn't looking, it's stake-wittling time!

I don't really know how elective classes work though, I'm not American and we do things a bit differently here.
Awesome. Can't wait xD Then we all burst into the big opening musical number, right? I've brought my dancing shoes, Bear has his unitard in his bag, we're good to go!

The pile of elbows that cradled Danny's not-sleeping-but-trying-to head shifted slowly as he looked up, tired blue eyes blinking once and fixing onto Adam. "Your voice. It's loud." Sighing, he slumped down again, thick unruly locks spilling over bare arms and a tightly-bandaged wrist. "Stop that."

Two hours sleep. A sprain. And there was still ash in his hair, he was sure of it. Not a great day, all told - and it had barely even started. "'Death-trap' is a strong term. I'd call it a gank squad." His words were muffled, but still perfectly audible. "Anyone else thinking of skipping math this afternoon?"
As an addendum - there is some sweet gif action happening in this thread. I, for one, welcome our gif overlords and offer my fealty.

Aight, aight – CR, otherwise known as “Who the hell are you people, anyway?” You all know the drill, if anything looks off or needs an edit, give me a holler, watch the edits happen before your very eyes.

I'm gonna go in alphabetical order because we got the first four letters seamlessly covered – five, when Emi gets here. If we can get Victoria to change her name to Fictoria, it'd be perfect.

Adam – If people can be put into the three rough categories of 'Fistbump', 'Arm's Length', and 'Get Off My Planet', Adam is type 2. It's not because everyone says his family is some weirdo religious cult or anything – well, okay, it was kinda weird at first but obviously Adam isn't into... whatever that is, so whatever. And the guy was able to get his hands on some seriously sweet recording gear that makes online streaming a breeze, gotta thank him for that. But, still... Danny can't quite get over the notion that if there's anyone he shouldn't be letting into his personal life, it's this guy. Maybe it's all the sudden rando questions. Danny's never asked if Adam's family hug snakes for Jesus or have that special grape Kool-Aid in the fridge at home, so it would be nice not to get Q's about what the biggest thing he's ever levitated was, or where he learned to do it. (The answers to both those things happens to be “It's not your business, Mr Nosy.”)

Blaine – He's cool. Well okay not 'cool' in the commonly-accepted and socially-agreed upon sense, but in the 'bro, fistbump category' sense. It's kind of neat how the guy always played as Warlock class in D&D, and grew up to be one in real life. That's the kind of commitment to a cause that Danny can admire. They have the whole magic-thing in common (really, Blaine is the only person that Danny can actually talk to about a lot of that stuff without them getting a glassy-eyed 'Wtf' expression), but it's really their home lives... or rather, lack of home lives – that gives them common ground. True, Danny's father didn't turn into a vampire and try to kill him like Blaine's did, but he does do an awesome impression of Invisible Dad. So. It's good to have people around who don't have it easy either, and don't take things for granted. Underneath Blaine's imperviously egotistical demeanor is one of only two people in the world that Danny really feels 'gets it'.

Casey – Is the second person who gets it. Funny how there's a common theme in Washington for parents who either died or vanished totally from the world. In Danny's opinion, Casey has it the worst; he didn't just lose the ones who mattered, he got stuck with people who didn't give a crap. There have been many cold and hypothermia-inducing nights that Casey has spent crashing on the couch, the two of them raiding the budget-foods in the freezer and staying up way late playing vidya. It's actually kind of nice. They've known each other from way back in nerdy childhood, having shared interests and shared bullies and a shared interest in avoiding the bullies. It did take a while to get used to the way that Casey pokes fun at him – what teenage boy doesn't like being called 'Carrie'? - but, it turns out, that's what friends actually do. Huh. Coolbeans. It was all super normal before the whole vampire/monster/blobby-thing killing gig came along and Casey pulled him into it, but it's neat. Way more fun than homework and moping about. Like being a superhero. With homework.

Dana – idk yet. Stick a TBA here. Give it time to finish cooking.

Victoria – She's too reserved and closed-off to get to know, and too casually pleasant to really dislike. She seems like someone who who has come from somewhere and is going places, which is kind of annoying to someone who comes from nowhere and is likely headed back. But, the others like her – Blaine seems to really like her - and she's far from a liability in the evil-murdering sense, so it's easy to play nice and reel in the apathy. Danny probably wouldn't have anything to do with her if she wasn't in the same group as he was; because people like her aren't generally in the same group as people as him. Two different worlds, yet both allied in their dislike of being exsanguinated by creepy-looking dead things and left chilling in an alleyway for homeless people to find. And that's a shared interest that unites nations.
I had a peek at the Big Bad's info. Couldn't stop myself XD Looks cool! Well, not so much 'cool' as 'aggressively scary' but that's what you want in a baddie.

Had a mild fanboy squee at the Giles appearance in the Watcher bio too. Though a sad one, because, well... he's not quite on top form there. But it's okay, because this still exists.

@ruby I have most of my CR ready to go, just have Dana's part to do. Should we post them in here, or edit them into our bios as addendums?
