My fingers are well enough rested. Anyone up for collabs?
"Wait, you didn't-" shouted Riley, as the fairy cat jumped away and phased through the far wall. She ran over to the place where he escaped through, but no matter where she touched, it was solid and impassable. Then, there came another mechanical whir, and she could feel the distinct force associated with accelerating downwards. Then, everything goes black. Agonizing seconds pass, and Riley looks around for something, anything, that would shine any light in literal or figurative sense on her situation. Then, the wall parts, revealing a commotion on the other end. Humans rushing about under the lazy eye of horrendous beasts. Riley gasped, and this made one of the human women turn and glare at her.

"Hey, there you are!" she shouts. "You're late!" Riley didn't know what to think.

"I . . . I don't understand," she says, trying to hide her confusion. "I'm not late for anything. You don't know me, you don't even know my name . . . right?"
@Aristocles The mindreading thing most of all, but with such huge retcons, there isn't even much reason for Akydon or the Fertile Valley to be at war with Traeton anymore.
"Sooooooo . . . husband," said Ardasa, smiling broadly despite herself. Rughoi turned a lazy eye toward her. The day was especially hot, and Rughoi had insisted on keeping vehemently to his promise to work on the city alongside his people. Ardasa woke up this morning thinking that she should get to know her betrothed, but was quickly beginning to regret her decision.

"Not for another moon. Kutur promised me that," came Rughoi's gruff response, as he slathered a brick with seal.

"Well, maybe not, but we hardly know each other! We should get to know each other!" said Ardasa. "Like, say, fields in spring. How do you stand on fields in spring?"

"I know enough. You're the daughter of the Earthen Bears, a valuable one thousand footmen addition to the overstretched army." said Rughoi. "What else do I need to know?"

"Yeah . . . that about covers it, I think," said Ardasa. This certainly didn't go well. "I suppose I'll see you in a moon, then?" There was no response. She turned to leave, but something made her stay and offer one last alternative. "Wait. It's traditional for the betrothed female to issue a demand from the male to prove your loyalty and ability. Anything I want." This made Rughoi stop, and Ardasa congratulated herself on remembering this facet of culture. "Come with me to the coast of Lake Draconis. Get out of the city for a bit. Don't forget - you have toooooo," she teased, turning the last word into a bit of a singsong. Rughoi growled, but nodded.

"Fine. Lake Draconis it is," he said, and went back to the crack in the wall.
Salim ducked low as the fight between his new debtor and the guard quickly resolved itself. He gazed down at the blade in his hand. It was a paltry thing, and his lack of body mass meant that if this fellow, now armed with a far more effective weapon, were to betray him, there was little Salim could do to stop it without the backing of his contacts around the city.

"Which way?" he asked, looking back at the crowd. It would be too easy to duck into the unorganized horde and become instantly anonymous. He turned, and found another alternative. The storm drains that can be accessed by night workers could provide an easy escape, and Salim knew the paths well enough to escape the inquisition. He left it up to his debtor to choose the path.
Notes:
Retconning human legion. Diplomacy still taking place.

Retconning war with Aredor. Still rebuilding the city.

Anything else I should change?
@Aristocles Damn. I have a lot to rewrite. Thanks for resolving the issue with me. It's been a great help.
Obviously there has been some sort of miscommunication. I thought there were brief bits of action, followed by a couple of weeks in between each session. So there would be a month between conversing with the Bytheseas and their army arriving, another couple of weeks between the sack of Traeton and declaring war on Aredor, etc etc. So what was the flow of time supposed to be?
@Aristocles Alright, I agree with you on my second statement, but that doesn't conclude my first complaint.
@Aristocles Really? How many troops could the Ottomans field?
