Male. I like 1x1 rp's as they're just easier to do. I post you post I post you post etc... I don't mind what gender the pairing is because I'm not into smut. Romantic tension is great! But when it gets weird it gets weird.

I like to RP because I like to write. And I like to read what I write. And then its been 45 minutes and I still haven't finished my post. This is another reason I like 1x1 RP's too.

I don't use pictures for my characters because I don't know where to find one I like or how to do it. So I like to do text descriptions and I ALWAYS appreciate yours as well :)

I usually take a long time to post so I'm sorry if I'm slowing down the thread :( I just like to really try when I write. I'm not good, but I'd like to think I'm at least giving it a go lol

PM your 1x1 prompts :)

The wagon let out a stressed creak as its wheels bumped along the trail. Its once familiar path hadn't seen a traveler in eight months and had become overgrown with thickets and brush. The wooden wheels trudged sluggishly along, doing their best to re-plow the way they had taken so many years to work over. They'd all been through this path thousands of times, but now, the wheels, the two heavy set brown horses, and their old, long bearded driver were all begrudgingly pushing forward for what felt like their very first time going over this mountain trail. The course was slowed by the brush, but even more so slowed by his nerves. Every sound felt unfamiliar. The trees were looming over them, higher than they'd been before. The sun looked to be setting faster, like it was running away over the horizon. It too had the same disturbing feeling something awful was about to happen. The driver straightened his posture against the enclosed cabin behind him and tilted his head to raise the brim of his grey hat. He breathed deeper and shifted his eyes back and forth trying to be sure all his senses were focused on his surroundings. He loosened his grip on the reigns and let out an exhale. It was supposed to be him letting go of his fear. It didn't help.

The worn black cabin turned on the path to begin winding down the hilltop and their destination came into view. A medium sized town tucked miles away from the capital cities. It backed all the way up as far as it could to the mountains in the west and stretched out to the south into the forest line. As far as mining and foresting towns went, Bertramka had been one of the largest in Prague, supplying coal, lumber, and precious stones to cities all over the territory. Four thousand people lived here according to the census taken in 1837 and more were traveling in and out every day. But, since the stories had started, who knows how many were left.

The red shades had been drawn the entire trip. The driver had met his passengers only once when he'd picked them up that morning. They said few words, but they didn't have to. He knew who they were and what they were going to do. Anyone requesting a trip to this town had only one reason to be there. They were chasing a monster.

The wagon rolled along the final stretch on the only dirt road leading in and out of Bertramka. It too had been accustomed to much heavier traffic than this. Once bustling with heavy loaded carts of exported goods was now seeing little activity in or out. The wagon rolled off the bushy trail and clacked atop a stone road. The wagon slowed to a stop in front of a red roofed two story Gothic building. A large wooden sign stuck over the front door, 'First Inn', it read. A clever name to some travelers, others rolled their eyes, as it was indeed the first inn of Bertramka.

The old driver shuffled off his seat and knocked on the door. No one came. He knocked again harder, growing impatient quickly. A young Czech man with curly red hair opened the door with a bewildered look on his face.

"Well, g'evenin' sir. Haven't seen a soul on our roads in a long time. Please come in."

The driver waved away the offer, "Aint me that's stayin. Brought you folk and I'm going right back out."

"Y'aren't serious are you? It's a days travel back any direction. At least stay for a night, let your horses rest?"

The man had already turned away to open a trunk at the back of the wagon, pulling multiple large traveler's bags and cases out and placing them just inside the door. "I've already been here longer than I'd like. And I don't plan on staying a minute more."

"Are you gone in the head? It's past sunset, you won't even see the road," he protested pointlessly. While trying to both stay in and out of the old mans way as he bullheaded in and out of the door with more and more luggage. "Is this about those stupid fairy tales of missin' people and murderin's? It's all a crock of nothin' I'll tell you."

The old man latched the hinge in the back of the cabin closed, walked round back toward the front and gave the inn keeper a look of seriousness. "Well, than you'll have to tell it to these folk here they made this trip for nothin'" He opened the cabin door and the three travelers stepped out.

Ok so this is going to be a murder mystery style of RP. I won't be playing any particular character, as the GM I will be playing the story and non player characters. Your characters can be anyone you'd like and can have any relationship with each other that you agree on. I'm only going to allow three people into the RP. If your interested you can start by describing your character. It can't be a character sheet, just write it out. If you want to use a picture that's fine, I don't use them though. I like an RP to read like a book. If what I wrote out wasn't enough back story I'll give you a little more, but I want to keep a very small amount of OOC.

General storyline is a town set in the early 19th century Prague has had some disappearing people. No one has any idea what's going on. Legends and stories have been going around that there's a monster in the woods eating people. Most people are scared. Most people think its bull. Your characters arrived to help or investigate or are for some reason interested in being here for this. That motivation is up to you. I'm going for Bram Stoker's Dracula kind of theme, but don't let that pigeon hole anything you do. This can go anyway we push it.

So that's it. Post a character if you're really interested. Or just say your interested and we'll see how it goes. This is only for three players though.
I'd be interested in either the modern or medieval plots you have. They're both great. For the modern though, I'd rather play a male character, and maybe twist the reasoning behind summoning the being. What would you prefer to role play?
Sounds great. I'm interested. Can you give more detail on the fantasy world?
Stil looking to collab on a book?? That sounds like the most fun that could possible ever happen ever. It's exactly what I've been looking for in roleplay.
I like werewolf and vampire RP's :) do you have a plot in mind? Or can we collaborate on one?
Hey guys it was fun. But I've got too much going on. I'm going to fall out of this RP. There's a few too many players for me to follow along with. Sorry!
Grant Finley: AKA The Hammer

Tia left her office and went outside to the back of the HQ building to let off some steam. After quite a few blasts full of anger and frustration she landed on her knees breathing heavily and she just laid on the ground looking up at the stars. From the window of the gym Wicked smiled.

"You bounce back quick." The humor was completely muted by the concern in his tone. He swallowed down his real emotions. Grant had been standing behind Tia quietly for a few moments, thinking of what to say. Absorbing his feelings. Truly, he wanted to to throw himself around her. He'd left her, injured and barely breathing. It was so unlike him to leave an ally like that, but he'd never faced a decision in the field like he'd done today.

This weird connection he'd felt for a girl he had just met today was wanting and coming off too strong. But he was just relieved to find his friend survived and was ok. "We got a little beat up out there today. Are you ok?"

Finally a relief team. And a powerful one to match, Grant thought. Gyro came up beside him. "Hey!!! My name is Gyro, I think we are team mates, and ummmm....kinda saw you guys on the news so I thought I would fly over and help out." Spunky and helpful, a change of pace from Kain. Grant was glad to have a nice ally on the field.

"Grant," he replied sternly. This was no time for nice to meet you's. "Where's Tia? Is she ok? I left her back up at the SUV. I have to be sure she's made it back to HQ-" an exploding statue's face interrupted him as Visi-Play also approached.

Guys, sorry for the delay, do you have a set strategy on stopping that thing?

"This threat's being cleaned up it looks like but more statues are being animated. We need to rally the team, and find whatever started this." He looked up into the sky and saw Jessie flying about. "Is she one of ours?" He asked and got on the commlink,

"Hey, flyers. Where is the coming from. Can you see anything? Can you direct us on the ground?" Military command experience was kicking in and Grant was quick to make plans and take action. Like Visi-Play said, they needed a strategy. They needed to rally together and keep from being too spread out.

Punch! Punch! Smash Each statue took a few hits before crumbling to rubble to Grant's blows. A couple statues in and punching fists into solid concrete statues was starting to hurt. But he couldn't let up. The sentient's focus turned on the heroes and they started stomping toward the duo where they'd be met with fists and powerful blasts to crumble to pieces. A quick swing over Grant's head caused him to duck and roll to the right. Another parried blow pushed him further back. Returned attacks and swirling combat soon had Grant separated from Tia and out of sight.

"Tia!" He called, she was only a few hundred yards away at this point but it was too late. A larger statue had her pinned under his foot. Each blow was harder than the last and Tia wasn't moving.

FWOOM!

A swift jab narrowly missed Grant's jaw pulling his focus off Tia again. A grip around its forearm and Grant was pivoting the stone man backward over his shoulder. It crashed hard into two others behind it, all three dusting to pieces. Grant turned back and sprinted toward Tia. Full speed, he went into a forward slide putting himself over Tia and the Presidents heavy concrete boot.

"Ugh!" Grant grunted loudly folding in slightly under the pressure smashing on his crossed arms overhead. The monster pressed harder shifting all its weight downward on Grant's body. He began to bend in losing to the power strugle. The footprint crater Tia's body had crushed into the street was cracking again under Grant's knee. "Guuhhh!" He growled a guttural rumble in his chest. Tia was breathing beneath him, barely. She needed help. If there was ever a time in Grant's life his strength could be used for good to save someone's life. This was no time to fail.

Crrrrrrruuuuuunch! The asphalt buckled under his boot and Grant shot upward with incredible strength! The giant flew backward spiraling its top heavy head down to the ground. It smashed like a pumpkin on the sidewalk with an avalanche crash. Rumble The earth shook with it's defeat.

Grant swung Tia's limp body over his shoulder. Her long green hair dressed over his broad chest. He surveyed the destruction. Kain had shown up just in time. Tearing apart soldiers left and right. He looked like a real hero. Grant smirked and yelled to him just as he was split another car open to free its trapped passengers, "I knew you'd always have my back." He ran back toward the the SUV and placed Tia there. She wasn't looking good. Was there anyone else on this team other than him and Kain???, he thought angrily. She needed to get back to HQ, but Kain needed help. Grant turned to see a bus being torn in two and Kain being the only one to stop it.

"Damnit!" He yelled and sprinted back, leaving Tia in the back seat of the SUV.

The giant concrete monster held two halves of a filled bus in both hands and was about to toss them aside over its shoulders. Grant never was an intelligent guy and now he had no time to think. He leapt at the giants left hand blackened claws fully extended from his fingers. A hard slash at the wrist broke enough of the joint to separate it from the arm and the bus fell back to the ground. A rough landing, but hopefully the best outcome for the people inside. Grant somersaulted on the ground and looked back to see if Kain had saved the other half... @Dark Light
