Dactrin watched Tychus and Thok make their way deeper towards the forest until they were not longer visible. While Dactrin hadn't heard Tristan the first time she spoke he heard her on the second, his focus broken from the pair he was fixed on as they disappeared. One was obviously a daemon, but was the other a student? They were far enough where he wasn't quiet sure but he knew leaving the grounds alone to that extent was not safe. The student must be skilled. Dactrin turned to Tristan, his brow slightly furrowed despite her warm smile, his thoughts racing on what he saw with unanswered questions. It was only his second year and yet he felt like he had so much more to learn. He glanced down to her arm slipped around his as she pulled him along forward towards the school entrance where they could get some food. He kept close to her, feeling more comfortable with her than before, an odd feeling of trust he didn't normally give so early in new relationships. She was different though. It helped that he knew her mother and brother but she was a kind person, a genuine kindness one couldn't fake. He saw they had built a foundation for a strong enough friendship that he could lean on, at least for the time being. He made a mental note not to get too invested, in case she turned out to be like the rest, although he sure hoped not.

Dactrin wasn't used to daemons that ran on their on free will. While Beau could come and go to a certain extent he mainly stayed by his side, aiding in his studies, training, and companionship. The thought of being with a daemon like Thok was hard to imagine. Dactrin's face finally started to relax as he walked with Tristan, arm linked with hers. "Yeah, actually I'd like to meet him...Tychus. He must be skilled in daemon hunting to go in to the woods alone like that." Perhaps there was something he could learn from Tychus.

As they neared the food hall the smell of freshly brewed coffee wafted in the air. Dactrin inhaled deeply, the smell inviting and a perfect addition to some bacon and eggs.

He figured in this area they were bound to come across more students, the food like a watering hole for the ever-hungry students. A moment of dread stiffened him as he realized he would be encountering more students that he would be force to socialize with. After glancing to Tristan, seeing her warm smile, he felt himself relaxing, allow his fears to subside for the moment. With her at his side he didn't see why he had to feel so anxious about talking to other students.

The Fire House was quiet when Sean Anderson pulled up. No calls were being answered, no cleaning was being done and he had yet to see one of his mates. The lack of activity was almost unnerving as usually there was always something happening. The constant activity was just another portion of the position that he loved, not feeling comfortable staying still for too long. Sean walked through the firehouse with his duffel bag slung over his shoulder, his shift just starting. He was looking forward to getting back in to action after having a small break that felt much too long. He came to his locker and threw his bag inside, pausing to look around the empty room he stood in. With a deep inhale and silent exhale he closed his locker and started walking towards the kitchen. That was where most people could be found when the house was silent for those brief moments. Sean walked past the Chief's office and gave him a wave in acknowledgement, not bothering to stop in when he saw him on the phone speaking to someone; the chief gave him a wave back. Walking down the hall towards the kitchen he came up to Alex who was walking in the opposite direction.

"Hey Sean, welcome back" she said with her bright smile.

"Hey Alex, good to see you." he grinned back.

"I whipped up some eggs and turkey bacon if you want some" she said, pointing towards the kitchen.
"I'll see you in there shortly" she finished, continuing her pace down the hall to finish her task on hand.

Sean put two fingers to his temple in a small salute. "Yes ma'am." Turkey bacon? Really? he thought to himself, shaking his head.

Entering the kitchen, Sean made his way to the kitchen and grabbed a plate to fill up. It seems the candidate hadn't shown up yet, leaving Alex to take the initiative to ensure there was a hot breakfast for the next shift.
"Seamus" she repeated back to him. "Lovely name" she said with a smile. He was not like many Shifters she had come across before. She wasn't sure what it was about him but she was interested. When he showed interested in food and drink she began to lead the way down the street. When Seamus began speaking of where he came from she turned to look at him, giving him her full attention. But when he finished she came to a complete stop and stared at him, her mouth slightly open, the tips of her fangs just visibly grazing her pink lips. Escaped from a lab? She had never heard of any Shifter escaping from anything.

"You...escaped from a...a lab?" she repeated, as if she couldn't understand English and comprehend what he had just said. Her face was in surprise as he obviously had given her new she had never heard before or didn't think was possible, something as grand as someone walking on water. "That's not...possible" she continued, seeing the look on her face and imaging what he must be thinking. She had so many questions for him. "I mean, how could you ever escape any facility meant to hold in Shifters? And...what did they do to you?"

A sound down the alley way alerted Freedom to glance over her shoulder. Her eyes, seeing well in the dark, made out two figures, their police caps recognizable by shape.

"Uh..." she said in barely a whisper. "We gotta go...like now." She grabbed Seamus by the hand and began speed walking forward. She gave a second glance behind her and realized they had been seen.

"Oi folks, hold up, we just have a question." The policeman's voice was friendly enough but his urgent walk that quickly broke in to a jog made it clear they were out on patrol and looking for Shifters, a routine Freedom knew so well.
Mind if Freedom and Seamus run in to Jean and Catherine? I have an idea to stir things up and mix up our characters >_>

Sean moved with his parents to Chicago when his father was relocated for work. Both his parents work normal, boring jobs, jobs that Sean promised himself he would never get stuck in when he grew up. When they moved to Chicago 10 years ago a Firefighter came to his class to discuss the career. Sean was immediately impressed and decided one day he would be a fireman, just like the Chief that came to their school that day. Since day one of being an official fireman he has felt this has been his calling in life. At least once a month he visits schools to talk to kids about what it's like to be a fireman, hoping one day to inspire a kid the way he was.
Sorry for the delay guys. I'm going to post another CS and start the IC with an intro post!
