I thought that we all were based on songs.

They are based on songs. They don't write music themselves (How would a giant, cyclopean space squid do that?), their creators (Scientists/artists who made them, NPCs) can be musicians. And writing songs for powers is just OP. I mean, there are very creative characters and they are allowed to be allies, if they formed a band and threw their ideas together they'd probably end up destroying the universe somehow.

I got one. To gain their powers in the first place, they need to make a song/music.

Sorta the opposite of what I was going for. I mean, they're basically WWE wrestlers that were born from test tubes, not very wise folks. The entertainment they bring is their fighting, not their music. They do enjoy music, though. Nothing stopping your character from being a musician on his/her/it's off hours.

Here's a character

Name: Krak-O'-Lackin'
Gender: Female
Appearance: A gigantic, sandy red squid. She has a buzzard-like beak and one big, bloodshot, bulging eyeball on the front of her "head". She scutters about on 6 of her tentacles, using the other two to grasp things.
Powers: Interplanetary flight, exceptional ability to hold onto things, and her jaws could crush spaceships.
