Just as a favor to me personally, could everyone still playing who has an approved character, please post your character in the Characters section. That will make things a lot easier for everyone when they want or need to look up someting about another character rather than having to look through 26 pages (and growing) of the OOC section to find the information.

At the twelve year old's answer, Gavin wrapped the apple seeds in a used napkin, gathered his bags and headed out with the others. As he reached the hallway he noticed a young lady with a skinny white cane.

She carefully made her way to the front door. "Am I out of everyone's way?"

He slowed as he caught up to her. "Sure, everyone's going around you easy. Why?"

"I don't know," he replied. "Maybe the lady who answered the door will say, or ask one of the others." Gavin looked over to a twelve year old sitting nearby. "Hey, what are we supposed to do now?"

Scorpions just really creep me out. But only those I actually encounter, pictures and such are no problem.

"I'm Gavin," the little boy replied, taking the outstretched hand. As the joy buzzer discharged, he yanked his hand back at the uncomfortable sensation. He looked down at his palm. "What was that?"

Gavin jumped, startled almost out of his skin when the young man suddenly appeared out of thin air on the porch.

"Come in. Breakfast is just about ready. You can follow me to the dinning room or head upstairs. You can take any room that is empty." the housekeeper explained.

At the mention of breakfast he remembered that he had not eaten any yet and was quite hungry. He followed the two adults into the dining room and found an empty chair to sit in. He cleaned every bit of his bowl of oatmeal, but didn't add any of the items available though he did take an apple and devour it down to the core, saving only the seeds.

Gavin had made a complete circuit of the building, returning the the front door just in time for it to be opened.

"Can I help you?"

He jumped back a bit in surprise and then pulled out the manilia envelope handing it to the woman.

"The DC...DCFS man said to give this to you," he said in a quiet voice. "It's my papers."

Gavin waited for what to him seemed forever. He stuffed the manila envelope into one of his bags, picked them both up and went down the stairs. Looking around, he started walking around the outside of the building, stopping every little bit to examine and touch all the flowers and bushes planted along the building, eventually making his way to the back.
