Rudolph slept alright, but suffered from a slight hangover from the previous night. He decided to go get some air, and see if he could get some quiet to himself. And for the first time in a while, Rudolph was in a good mood.
In about an hour or so, there would be a troop drill. They would need to go over whos still around and who wasn't. But for now, the troop could rest.
The morning air was crisp and cool, which was welcome considering how uncomfortably warm it was in the barracks. The streets were somewhat empty, with the occasional guard patrols, and citizens tending to their chores, otherwise it was quiet.
After taking some time on his walk, Rudolph noticed a familiar figure collapsed in an alley next to a tavern. Manald? He looks terrible thought Rudolph before he turned and walked away. After about a few minutes had past, he returned with a pair of buckets both filled with water. He then chucked one bucket of water onto the beastman, "Wakey wakey." said Rudolph chuckling as he did so. It startled the man awake, and then Rudolph chucked the second bucketfull, "That ones for the smell." he continued.
Shortly after, a guard from the keep appeared out of nowhere in front of the tavern, "Soldier, have you seen a large man by the name of sir Manald Halung, a member of the Royal Guard?" he asked, and Rudolph simply pointed at the man on the floor in the alley.
The guard came over and saw Manalds shamful visage, he hesistated before speaking, "Sir Manald, his higness Prince Leonidas requests your presence at the keep in about an hours time." the guard gave a brief salute before he hastily departed.
"Sounds like the Prince is up to something." Rudolph shrugged as he watched the guard leave. He turned toward Manald and gestured, "Come on, lets get something to eat."
