The book of bad juju said
It's been an eventful week.Whole bunch of new opportunities have opened up for me, and i think i might be on the board of directors for a videogame development company now. So, erm, yeah. Pretty damn eventful.

Congratulations man! That sounds awesome!
Done it for the last two years, never finished but I feel each time has really, really improved my writing skills, and confidence. Unfortunately I won't be able to do it this year, but I wish everyone else the best of luck. You can do it!
On the subject of character-driven, or plot-driven I usually think about it this way. Does the plot usually drive the character development, or do the characters drive the plot development. A character driven story doesn't mean that there is little or no plot, it just means that the characters make the plot, as opposed to characters being made to fit a specific plot.
Oooohhh Christmas shopping that reminds me I need to work on that too.

Not too bad! Starting a new job, keeping up with schoolwork, reading, all that sort of thing.
So how's everyone's week?
Have him be another kid in the group, or wait a bit and you could be waiting at the top already.
It is a long march up the creaky wooden stairs, as a cold morning breeze buffets you as you climb. There are shivers all around but at least the climb up the stair keeps your blood flowing. Up the side of the cliff, you think you see some rocks moving, but upon further examination you you realize that they are actually large snails of some sort, some as big as your head. They are moving ever so slowly down the cliff face, and every so often a huge crab pops out of a small cave in the cliff face, grabs one, then retreats into the cliff.

The gulls dive after the crayfish beaks snapping in a wild frenzy, a few pack and snap at each other even though there are plenty to go around. A few get brave enough to nip at a young girl with sandy blonde hair, wearing a plain brown skirt. She yelps, and an older boy dressed in rough sailors clothes steps in the way and plants a kick squarely in the gull's face. It squawks and flies back and the others shy away from the duo from now on.

As you near the top of the stairs you see a tall man dressed in dark blue blue robes with silver runes embroidered around the sleeves and the base. He has shoulder length white hair, the color of snow, and bright violet eyes. He looks older, although he stands completely straight, his skin is well worn and wrinkled. You hear a screech and a falcon dives and lands on his shoulder. "Welcome" he says in a even voice with the bare hint of a foreign accent. "To the Crystal Tower. I am Crythos. I will be showing you around. Please follow me."

Finished mine up!
Masaaki crept quickly gathered up his bow and collected his arrow and his cloak. His bluff had bought him the advantage again. He moved silently along the cliff before peering down to assess the situation. It seemed the girl had managed to create a golem of some sort. It was a bit misshapen, but still a dangerous threat. He really had no efficient way to damage it, so his only option would be to avoid it and go directly for her or the merchant. It would throw another kink into the plan, but she must have used up much of her chakra making this thing, and she would be worn out from running back and forth so much. It was time for him to go on the offensive again.

Masaaki closed his eyes and concentrated gathering up his chakra and using it to condense some of the extra water in the air, causing the rain to pour down even harder. He concentrated harder forcing some of his senses through some of the raindrops he created. It was a work in progress and it was incredibly disorienting, there was the golem, the girl? where was the merchant? He focused harder, taking a deep breath and steadying his mind. There! In the bushes. He thought. Or maybe he was in the cart? He really needed to work on this jutsu more. He opened his eyes rubbing his head slowly trying to regain his senses as quickly as possible. Take out the ninja first then he could worry about the merchant. he thought quickly formulating a plan in his head.

"Alright girl!" he shouted using the rain to cover the direction his voice was coming from, "Enough games. Throw down your weapons and hand over the cart and I'll leave the two of you unharmed. You're in no position to fight me right now" He doubted she would surrender but he had made himself sound condescending on purpose. He was hoping to provoke her into making a mistake.
IC up sorry for any delays.
