If this is open to new players I'd love to apply! Will be able to have a CS up by tonight!
Hey was wondering if this still had any space left in it? I'd love to join!
DECK

Moss flinched at the screech, the nightmarish sound that shattered the air and made her grip the hammer tight. Everyone had scattered, the storm was beginning to shout its hateful intentions, and Moss was beginning to get the feeling that they were not the first ones to sail on the wretched ship.

"We should do whatever the fok it takes to make sure we never see what made that bloody sound," she said quietly. It wasn't as if anyone would have heard her over the roar of the world anyway, had she spoken normally.

They needed to be moving, they needed to be getting the people in the Engine room out and away from whatever it was that was down there. She looked around, spying anyone and everyone she could and waving her arms in the air.

“C’mon!” she shouted, forcing her voice through the dense sounds of the storm. “Over here, gather ‘round c’mon!”
I'll also have a post up by tomorrow, once again super sorry for the absence but thank you all so much for the patience!
Ciel observed the girl as she appeared from the brush, and though he kept his hands on Evelyn's handle, his grip relaxed. She herself looked imposing enough, but the blade caught his eye above all else. It seemed technical, but robust and sturdy, and most importantly it looked like it could cleave through Grimm flesh with relative ease.

As far as partners went, she'd do nicely, he thought.

"No no, together sounds like a good plan," he said, and offered a graciously low bow before starting off after her. "My name is Ciel Wolshaw, and who might you be?"
Gah I'm so sorry, had a few emergencies go down around here. I might be a bit slow for the rest of the week but I'll have a reply up to the next mod post for sure!
Ciel heard the footsteps before he saw anything, and all at once he stopped whistling. Perhaps he had been too hasty in his not caring whether he met a person or a Grimm first. He wasn't about to bite the dust five minutes into his journey for glory.

One hand came around to grip the sheathe, a finger poised on the trigger to propel the blade. If he was being honest, he was a tad nervous to utilize Evelyn. Without the proper, painstakingly-practiced stance, the force could send him on his back and the blade flying from his hand.

All the same, he readied himself and put on a brave face. "Who's there?" He called, and waited.
Dammit, he should have expected this. Well, perhaps not this, but the fact that plummeting to the ground was the school's means of transportation to the testing field shouldn't have come as much of a surprise. Didn't stop him from panicking though. Ciel only got his bearings a handful of moments before the ground would be rushing up to greet him, and by then instinct took over. A few feet from the ground he vanished, reappearing a small ways away with the vertical momentum turned horizontal. Luckily his boots weren't cheap, and they handled themselves fine as he skidded away speed.

When at last he came to a stop, he felt his stomach churn and his cheeks grow hot. Fuck, he hated it, he hated it so much. That was the last time he'd be using the godforsaken ability if he had anything to say about it. Then again if the introduction had been anything to go on, he likely wouldn't.

Ciel's palm came to a rest upon Evelyn's handle, as it often did, and the other propped itself upon the second sheathe. Right then, team member and artifact. He hadn't done much looking around before the launch, but he'd spied a few people who looked as though they knew how to handle themselves. As long as he wasn't matched up with any of the dirty beasts, he was sure he could fit a good team.

He began to walk, eager. Already the solitude was gaining an eerie edge, the sooner he found others, the better. Hell, he didn't care if he found a Grimm first, as long as he found something. Ciel whistled to ease the air, and hopefully attract another person to him as he himself began to search. A good start, that's all he needed, just a good start.
Sorry for the delay here, I'll get a post up tonight!
Name: Ciel Wolshaw
Age: 17
Race: Human
Appearance: Nothing particularly impressive about him when he’s not all done-up. Fairly feminine form, average height, with not a single tattoo or piercing on him. Undyed (which is a rarity) his hair is a lackluster black that falls to the base of his neck. However, more often than not it’s colored varying shades of blue, as well as being flared and styled with a practiced hand.
His eyes are like ice, pale and glassy, reflecting just enough blue to avoid being blanch white. They are, perhaps, the only notable natural thing about him.
As for clothing, he usually prefers style to practicality. Whether this is due to confidence in his abilities or the fact that he just likes grabbing people’s attentions is up to speculation. It’s hard to miss him when he’s in a room, as there’s hardly a dark article of clothing in his wardrobe.

Color: A vibrant Cyan

Personality: Many people who have only met him once or twice might call him friendly, suave even, if not a bit eccentric. But after the initial contact, one might begin to find that Ciel is, above all else, a liar. He’s self-absorbed, manipulative, and none-too-keen on the faunus race. When he thinks someone might benefit him, he’s generally very polite and friendly with them, but that act can drop off very quickly the moment he’s faced with any resistance.
Given his personality, some might be surprised to find that he absolutely despises being alone. He prefers being in the company of those he hates, or those who hate him, to solitude.
Maybe once he wasn’t so volatile, but if ever that was the case, those days are long gone.

Weapon: Evelyn

(Image is more for an idea of the weapon than an actual representation)
The Evelyn is a blade that has been in the Wolshaw family for many generations. It’s always passed down to the child of the previous bearer, and when there is more than one child, they must compete for the right to wield it. It is renamed with each passing, to the liking of the new bearer.
The weapon itself consists of three parts: the actual sword and two sheathes attached to rotators. This is because the sheathes are equipped to propel the blade, giving it a devastatingly fast draw. As well, the sheathes can be equipped with dust coat the blade as its drawn for an elemental attack, but due to the speed behind it, the dust is shirked off after the initial draw and must be resheathed to do it again.
The fighting style of the blade has varied slightly from user to user, but the general idea is to resheathe the blade as often as possible to continuously rain high-velocity attacks on an opponent. It was Ciel’s father who implemented the dual-rotating-sheathes, so as to allow redraws nearly every time.
Ciel however, has much left to learn.

Semblance: Stutter – Ciel phases out of the material world and reappears a short distance away. The process is instantaneous in addition to combative uses the ability helps to aid with speedy travel. Ciel is incredibly hesitant to use the power, and unless prompted beyond the ability to lie, will avoid even mentioning what it is.

Backstory: Raised in a very close-knit family of huntsman and women, Ciel always had his eyes on the fame and glory of hunting Grimm. His sister however, was his leash when it came to keeping his priorities in line. She wanted the same as he did, but for different reasons, and between them she was far more experienced with combat than he was. By the time he as well as the rest of the family were fairly aware that his sister would be the one to take up the blade and carry on its legacy. He didn’t mind, she’d always wanted it more, and he’d convinced himself that he wanted to forge his own legacy with his own weapon anyway.
Their seventeenth birthday came, no contest was held. Ciel received the blade and was shipped off to Beacon shortly after.
