The old lady gave Gish a small smile, "Thank you Miss Gish, it is a pleasure to meet you as well," She said, ushering the girl and the rest of the group into her home. As William voiced his suspicions Mimi gave a laugh weakened with age, "Oh, please, young man, I'm just a lonely old lady eager for some company." The final one to chime in was Luciel, the women nodded in agreement with his assertion. "Yes, it can be quite dangerous down here. But I have friends that protect me, so there is no need to worry about my safety or your own while you are inside my home." She said kindly. Rose gave her an inquisitive look, "You don't mean the, uh... things outside, do you?" Mimi nodded, "Indeed, I do." Rose didn't push for further explanation- Rose decided it would be better to not call attention to them, considering the fact that one of their own had opened fire on the scarecrow-like constructs.

The group slowly filtered in and Mimi gingerly closed the door behind them. The old lady began to excuse herself, "Please, make yourself comfortable, dinner will be out soon." She said, disappearing through one of the doors. Rose gave a nervous glance around, making sure that they were alone now. "So, uh, I'm not the only one getting the sense that there's something up here, right?" She said with a loud whisper. "Kindly old ladies are always evil in situations like this. It's almost too cliche. Plus I don't like the smell of this place, and let's not forget where we are. We're in the Endless Halls, things aren't supposed to be this friendly here. We should have a pl-"

It was then that the door flew open. Two figures came through the door, carrying a third in-between them. Rose turned and... Uh-oh. This is going to be a problem. Was what she thought to herself. The figures were the strange scarecrows from outside, carrying the one that had been shot be Luciel. They were no longer rigid, now moving as if they were ordinary people. As they entered they yelled frantically, "Oh man, oh man, oh man, Ben, I think he's dying, I think he might be dying." The first one said, as they placed their injured companion on the table. The second one was visibly terrified, "Okay. Okay, okay, you apply pressure to the wound... that'll stop the bleeding, that'll stop it, I'm sure, I'll go get Mimi." He went through the same door the old lady had earlier. Neither of them had noticed the group as they had barely lifted their attention from the third. Rose was now shrinking into her chair. She cast a worried glance across the group, and then mouthed out 'What do we do?" hurriedly.
So! It is quite possible that any of your characters may be a council member, if you like. :)

Now that's an interesting idea. I was going to have Rowan be a new arrival at Winding, but perhaps it would be a bit more interesting if he's already leveraged his position as 'former' royalty to get into a position of power in Winding.

Also, I go ahead and say he's not outwardly as crazy as he is in the CS.
@Mokley I've been busy but I'll definitely try to get a post up tomorrow, if I can I'll also hit Winding and Unquiet.
@Diggerton just making sure I understand, Rowan is the prince of a faraway country who is extremely devout to a god named Skinith, and who was driven out of his country and came to Winding. Right? In this particular rp, gods don't exist -- but that doesn't mean there's no religion. So if you agree that there will be no evidence of Skinith's existence outside of Rowan's own head, then he's approved. :)

Yes, to the first part. To the latter part that's actually totally what I planned, so that works out pretty well.
Here we go. I was pretty intrigued with all the first persons CS's so I decided to rip that. I've been working on steam of consciousness style writing so this works out pretty well.

Hey, just a by the way, I'm out of town right now so I'm probably not going to have a ton of time to work on my CS, so if you want to start IC by no means feels any need to wait on my part.
Sorry I think everyone's waiting on me, I'm out of town right now and have been pretty busy and I won't be getting back for another few days but I'll see if I can do something soon.
I'm working on my CS.

Rose found the god's assurance of some greater plan of little comfort. But all the same she had a job to do, whether she wished it or not. She felt herself filled with power, a great power that she would've relished years ago, a power she had yearned for, begged for even. Now it felt like a hollow victory, it filled her mouth with a bad taste.

It didn't matter anymore, though. At this point it seemed she would be little more than Lha-tak's slave. Even if she didn't want to fight this 'weak god' what choice would she have? Rose slowly rose from the ground. The winds were lifting her up, up, and then she was hovering off of the ground. She floated forward, onwards towards the cave.

She arrived there quickly. The brush ahead of the cave parted for her, the power of the wind pushing it aside. She floated into the cavern, and she saw three. Two were also prisoners from the Stone, and the third was the 'scared god'. Rose cleared her throat, "You two must step aside." She said, nodding towards Amuné and Grace. "I have business with the other one." Her voice was filled with power, booming across the cave, but at the same time, underneath that power, it was quivering.

She did not want to do this.
