It's Fine But...

I just think it's funny how
all the people I used to know
that'd say things like
"I wish I lived in
more interesting times"
are awfully fucking quiet now.

So far I've got a firebender named Yaze starting with either a Vulpix, Deino, or Houndour, as well as a basic outline of what I want their personality to be like.

@NuttsnBolts Questions once again.
1. What's the age rating we're shooting for on this, generally speaking? PG-13, PG-15, 18+, etc. etc.
2. What's the general age range that we're looking at for our characters? Is their a maximum or minimum age?
3. Is there going to be some sort of overarching plot/baddie that will gradually make themselves known as the players grow in strength and all of that jazz? I know it's a common trope but one that works well and can add another layer of depth to an RP.
4. Right now I see these adventure hungry children/teens/adults (dunno which yet) parading together or alone around a world that seems on the brink of being thrown into a full on battle royale. My question is, is this leading anywhere? You say that you hadn't given much thought to plot which is alright, I'm open to spitballing ideas. With that being said....
5. I think a sort of tournament where benders fight side by side with their Pokemon would be fairly cool, and a good juncture in the story for something related to an overarching plot to be revealed. Thoughts?

I'm here, none of the alerts worked until Windel's post.
@NuttsnBolts More questions! :D
1. Is the map going to be the one from the Last Airbender, or do you have something different in mind.
2. Pokemon from X and Y are still going to be permitted though, correct?
3. The OP here mentions the Fire Nation's poison types, but you say that poison belongs to the Water Tribes. I'm a bit confused here, not sure if I missed something or what.
@NuttsnBolts I've got some questions.
1. What's the status on mega evolutions? I'm assuming those won't be around.
2. I'm also going to assume that characters can't own their own legendaries, yes?
3. What's your stance on pseudo and semi-pseudo legendaries like Zoroark or Metagross, for example?
@NuttsnBolts I think that's easily manageable. Are we going to be allowed to reserve spots? My friend and I had an idea for a Fire Nation duo but I don't wish to deprive anyone else either.
I'd like to inquire as to what a "reasonable size" per post actually means, as that's a very subjective statement. Other than that, I'm interested.
Geez guys. It seems as though every time I say a post is on the way, something else that happens that keeps me from it. I don't mean to be a burden on this RP, but fortunately it seems as though I haven't been preventing anyone else from enjoying themselves. So no more promises on making a post that I might not be able to keep. I'll just keep you guys updated.
Post is up. And a note, I'm only writing up a few words in Charles' accent, just to remind everyone that it's there. Just keep in mind that it's strong as hell.
Charles O'Malley

Charles clicked his tongue. “Mistah Drummah,” He began, his refined southern drawl thick as butter on a biscuit. “Twice before you had been unable to pay me my just recompense. This makes a third.” The loan shark held up three fingers, before bringing them down into a tight fist. “You out, boy.” He wasn’t going to hurt him, not really. O’Malley possessed some control, but it was the Becks that had final say. Staying on their side of the law was paramount to survival out here. Joe Drummer was going to start beggin’ real soon. They always do.

“Mister O’Malley, I don’t have the funds! I, I, I, I’m sorry. Please, just give me a little more time!”

Charles stepped closer to Joe, so that they were only a few inches apart. “And where, Mistah Drummah, did all of that money go?” He started quietly, placing both of his hands on his counterpart’s shoulders. His hands slid to the collar of Joe’s shirt, seizing it in a tight grip. “Spendin’ it to buy some baubles for a pretty tavern whore!?” He shook the younger male vigorously. “Losin’ yourself in a drink!? Wastin’ it away on some fancy rifle to compensate for the sheer lack of manhood between your own damn legs?!”

He let go of Joe, and patted him on the back, beginning to speak jovially. “Now ah do know that they don’t much like that whole slavery gig much anymore, but boy, I might as well own you. You gonna be running errands for me until you drop dead from exhaustion.” And with that, Charles took his leave of the little hovel that Joe called ‘home’, and made for the saloon.

On his way to the Burnside, Charles stopped to watch a negro climb off of a horse and head to the tavern himself. N*ggers gotta drink too huh? He sighed and entered the building, not giving the black so much as a glance as he took a seat at the bar. “Ahm not here for story time, just champagne. Ah do trust that you can provide?” Charles said, producing a wallet from the folds of his clothing.
A lot of personal stuff kept me from the RPG last night, Charles debut is on the way.
