Hello! This is Buzzingbee! I used to be on here as BuzzBee but I had some trouble. I had issues in real life that made me go off for a while and then when I was going to come back on, passwords, emails, etc were forgotten and lost. xD But I'm back and ready to jump into where I left off!

Penelope gave a small shrug as Naida tried to poke at the fact that she hadn't celebrated during the previous night. Of course, her friend had no way of knowing that she had celebrated to some degree. At least, in their own way and it certainly hadn't involved drinking. The knight listened as Naida went on to try and drag Crow into the mix, however, knowing the former thief was never one to purposely get intoxicated, she still wasn't the least bit swayed. The knight rolled her eyes as Naida whined about them being boring.

The knight met Crow's gaze as he casted her the mock look with a mildly amused expression. She turned back to Naida and offered her a smile. "I'll drink a little with you, Naida. I just don't intend to get drunk off my ass." she explained, lifting her mug of cider to her lips.

"That only means a couple of drinks though." Naida sighed disappointedly. "You're not a very good drinker, you'll have to stop before I'm even tipsy."

Penelope rolled her eyes. "Oh come on, you're a lightweight too don't try to act like you're not." she snorted teasingly at her friend. In response, Naida stuck her tongue out at her friend and chugged a portion of her drink.

The knight gave a small laugh and shook her head before turning her attention back over to Crow. "So does your drink meet those high expectations of yours?" she asked, shooting him a playful smile. After setting her boundaries with drinking, the knight proceeded to relax a little more amongst the good company she was with. Having had an extremely good day, she was in a good mood which usually lead to her more playful nature coming out now that there was much less to stress over. "This place has a pretty good reputation but I fear your review might make it or break it."
Naida's trying to drag them down with her xD

Right now I'm thinking Penelope will just get tipsy cx that of course could change lmao
Penelope smiled as he admitted that it was better than he had been expecting. She knew he likely still missed the outer villages so having him like different spots of the inner kingdom was slightly important to her. He had decided to make the inner kingdom his home on her behalf after all. The knight leaned her elbows against them table as Naida chimed in and she gave a nod of agreement. Having tried drinks from both the outer villages and the inner kingdom, she knew it was safe to say that he'd be able to tell quite the difference.

As the girl came over to take their orders, she waited for her turn to speak before ordering a cider as well. Once the wench walked off to fulfill their orders, Penelope glanced around the tavern, enjoying the lively atmosphere for a moment before Naida spoke up again.

"Gods it's been forever since I've gone here!" Naida exclaimed. She grinned at Penelope. "I think the last time I came here was with you and Olivia..." The princess got an excited gleam in her eyes as an idea formed. "We should all play a drinking game!"

"No thank you." Penelope said shaking her head.

"What? Why not?" Naida pouted. "Usually you're up for it."

"I just prefer not to be stumbling through the snow on our way back." Penelope replied with an amused smirk. While that was a small part of it, she also wanted to keep her wits about her. Naida was always trying to push her and Crow together and she knew it'd be risky to get drunk around the two of them while they were still hiding their relationship.

"Aww come on it's suppose to be a celebration! I know you didn't get to really celebrate last night what with the speech and hosting." Naida pleaded. "It'll be fun! Plus we have a new player." She smirked as her gaze shifted over to Crow.
Same cx It's always such a mess haha
Penelope looked over at Crow as he added the time they got separated from the other knights. "That's true." she agreed with a smirk. Thinking back on it now, getting separated from her comrades had been rather important. Though there was no way of knowing for sure, it was likely that she never would confessed her feelings for him with William and Abraxas always around. At the very least it would have put quite the strain on the newly founded relationship back then. Some of her best memories from that mission were the days they spent alone together.

The knight gave her friend a sympathetic look as Naida complained about her own lack of adventure. She supposed she could understand the king's protectiveness over his daughter but knew that it must have been annoying for Naida based on her own experiences. Naida was just as much of knight as she was a princess after all.

Looking ahead, a small smile crossed her lips as Naida pointed out the tavern ahead. "Thank gods, let's get out of this cold then." Penelope said, eagerly picking up her pace. She hurried after Naida towards the building, already beginning to hear the sound of people talking and loud bellows of drunken laughter. It seemed that despite the cold, the tavern was just as busy as it usually was. As they stepped inside, Penelope was greeted by a burst of warm air that made her give a small sigh of relief to finally be out of the cold weather. She removed the hood of her cloak and glanced around the tavern.

The biggest difference between this tavern and ones in the outer villages was of course the money that went into it. While it had the same usual set up of any tavern, there were subtle signs of wealth hidden in the quality of the establishment and it's decor. Penelope was also sure Crow would see a difference in the alcohol itself since the taverns of the inner kingdom often carried higher quality ale and the like. Offhandedly she also noticed that the crowd was rather mixed tonight. Usually knights were the most common customers at this tavern but tonight a few other nobles of varying status also filled up a couple tables. Penelope recognized a couple faces from the party and guessed that the nobles must have decided to drink together before heading back to their manors.

She also noticed a group of drunken knights eying them. Well more specifically Crow. One seemed to notice her gaze on them and quickly looked away, saying something to the others to make them do the same. Penelope gave a small snort but otherwise ignored them before turning back to Naida as she lead them over to an empty table. "So, first impressions?" she asked Crow as she moved to slide in across from her friend.
Same here xD

Penelope nodded her head in agreement with Crow's words as she grabbed the fabric of her cloak and wrapped it tighter against her body. "I'll say. I haven't been to a tavern for the joy of it since even before I was sent out to the war front." she sighed, watching the visible air puff out of her mouth as she spoke. As Naida jumped into the conversation, she listened as Crow explained that it was from their previous time working together. She gave a small mumble of agreement and focused her gaze ahead, hoping Naida wouldn't try to dig for more information about it.

While she didn't do that, Naida of course had to poke at their closeness. Though Penelope actually agreed with the sentiment of them being a good team, she didn't want to add anymore fire to the flame. She looked over at Crow as he turned to her and returned his smile with one of her own. "That's for sure. I doubt I would have worked with you if not for that." she said with a small nod.

Naida's eyes shifted between them. "What happened on that trip to Younis anyways?" she asked, her smirk remaining.

Penelope shrugged. "Mainly getting the staff from the castle. That was what the trip was for after all."

Naida rolled her eyes. "I know that! But come on, it's not every day a criminal and his guard end up as friends. William went on the same trip as you and he still hates him!"

"That's because William has a problem with his arrogance." Penelope snorted then added matter-of-factly, "We were in a foreign land and our interests happened to line up so I saw that working with him, even though he was a criminal, was possible. There's really nothing more to it than that."

Naida pouted slightly, seeming disappointed by the lack of reaction from both of them. I swear she's getting worse... Penelope thought with subtle shake of her head. The knight was growing tired of having to dance around the subject whenever Naida brought it up. She hoped that they wouldn't have to continue it for much longer now that the king had heard her out. It would all be much easier once they were able to start their courtship.
Sounds good c: I think most of Penelope's will probably happen around that time too so it should work out
Penelope offered quick words of parting to the group before rising up to leave. The knight headed down the corridor and towards her quarters. Once she reached it, she stepped inside and began to take off her armor. Eventually only her sword remained as a symbol of her career and she paused, debating on whether to take it or leave it behind. Deciding they'd likely be fine on their trip out, she removed the sheath and set the weapon down. Her gaze lingered on it for a moment, realizing that quite some time had passed since she had last used it. Due to the calmness of the castle versus the war front and all the time spent rallying support, she hadn't even found the time to use it in sparring.

Perhaps that's how I'll spend part of my day tomorrow... The knight mused inwardly as she moved on to grab her cloak. Slipping the fabric over her, Penelope bundled up, knowing that it would be quite a cold walk to the tavern. Ready to depart, she headed out of her room and made her way to the main entrance. The walk was a fairly short one and it wasn't long before she was reunited with Crow and Naida. Stepping over to join them, she offered them a smile.

"Alright I'm ready now." she said eagerly.

"Great! Let's get going! The faster we walk the sooner we get there and out of the cold." Naida grinned and pushed open the door to take the lead.

Penelope nodded her head and followed after her friend. Walking near Crow, she glanced up at him with a smirk. "You know, it almost feels weird that I'm not going to a tavern with you to interrogate a bunch of drunks." she mused jokingly. "It was becoming quite the norm there for a while."
Traumatized xD

Same here haha I think I know the general things of what's going to happen but it won't be anything too major for Penelope. I'll probably do something between the forces of Younis and Brerra to introduce a new character lol and then maybe something with Penelope's cousin and a couple other smaller things so I'll be good with skipping around a bit too.
