Hello! This is Buzzingbee! I used to be on here as BuzzBee but I had some trouble. I had issues in real life that made me go off for a while and then when I was going to come back on, passwords, emails, etc were forgotten and lost. xD But I'm back and ready to jump into where I left off!

Same lmfao

Penelope found it entertaining at least xD
Penelope gave a small chuckle as he was quick to return her playful banter. "We'll see about that." she mused with a roll of her eyes. Despite her teasing words, she knew the former thief was usually pretty capable of getting up early when he needed to. Albeit he usually had someone to wake him up on time and she supposed that's where Preston would come in as his attendant. She rolled her shoulders and moved to follow his lead, standing up from the table.

She leaned in to meet his lips as he leaned down towards her. As he winked at her, the knight smirked at his competitive words, finding them amusing. "Just don't be sour it's the other way around." she jibed in return. "Good night, Crow." Penelope gave him a soft smile before turning and beginning to make her way to her own room for the night. Once she reached her quarters, she wasted no time in settling down for the night, eager to get some sleep and trying to ignore her lingering concerns about ending the war.

---

Despite her worries, she fell asleep fast and slept soundly through the night. Once morning came, Penelope woke up as early as she had hoped to. However, that didn't make her feel any less groggy as she sat up and rubbed her eyes in an attempt to shake off her lingering sleepiness. Rising to her feet, the knight got ready for the day ahead, fixing her appearance slightly and then putting on her armor. After breakfast, she wanted to be able to grab her supplies and head straight to get her horse since the last thing she wanted was to run late.

After strapping her sword back to her side, she headed out of her room and to the Great Hall for a quick bite to eat before they had to go.
Oh dang xD yeah that definitely makes sense for William then haha
Penelope gave a small nod as Crow answered her question about when they would be leaving. She had figured that the king would be sending them off first thing in the morning but she wanted to make sure regardless. Though the knight had been focusing on the more enjoyable aspects of the trip, she was beginning to feel a bit anxious as their departure grew closer. Mainly for what was to come on Crow's end. While she had faith in the new viceroy, it was still a big first task to take on to convince a king to end a war peacefully. That was something she knew first hand but Crow didn't have the same advantage of convincing the king of his own kingdom like she had. At least the Younisians had seemed like peaceful people during their time there, she just hoped that would apply to wars as well.

"I'm guessing the king already knows I'm taking my leave on the same day. That is if Tybalt informed him." she mused with a shrug. The captain reported regularly to the king about the workings of the castle but whether or not the leave of one lieutenant was worthy enough news to share with his superior was difficult to say. On one hand, she doubted it was but on the other, she had been drawing quite a bit of attention to herself both from the petition as well as with her newly founded courtship with Crow. Regardless, the knight didn't dwell on the thought long.

"I'm sure I'll be ready before you anyways so I wouldn't worry about waiting." she said flashing him a playful smirk. She took the last couple bite from her food before letting out a content sigh with her now full belly. With everything packed and readied for the coming days of travel, she felt fairly comfortable about how prepared she was for the morning so all that remained would be making sure she woke up early enough to leave on time with the others.

"Although I should probably head off to bed now." she mused. The knight was already more tired than normal after already waking up earlier than usual that morning so she didn't want to run the risk of sleeping in. Penelope leaned over to press a kiss to his cheek. "As certain as I am about being ready before, I'd rather not push my luck with accidentally sleeping too long."

For sure lmao
William's the boomer of this entire story xD
Penelope nodded her head in agreement. Of course, the knight was only joking. As much of a pain that William could be, she knew there was no way she could have ever left him behind. Aside from his overrated view and values, he was a decent knight and a dependable comrade on missions. She just hoped the older knight would learn to stop trying to get in between their relationship. The knight took a bite of her food that had arrived once the older knight had stepped away and nodded her head in agreement with Crow's words.

"Thank gods for that." she sighed after swallowing her bite of food. She smirked amusedly and added, "As nostalgic as it would be for the three of us to be traveling to the border of Younis again, I think I much prefer traveling with you and other knights that won't be nearly as annoying." At her own mention of nostalgia, it made the knight's mind wander to when they had first begun their trip. It was surprising to think how far they had come since that first meeting. A smile crossed her lips as she ate, considering how much she had changed since then. She had gone from acting as coldly as William to becoming a bit of a rulebreaker who had fallen hard for the former thief turned viceroy.

The life she had now wasn't quite what she had originally planned for but she found that she was much happier with building her life with Crow rather than sticking to past agendas. Sometimes fate lead to great things and she was glad it had lead her to him. Feeling affectionate, she paused from her meal to lean her head against his shoulder.

"So are you all prepared for the trip now?" she asked him, finally able to pick up where the conversation had been going before the uncalled for interruption from William. "Also what time are we leaving in the morning?"
Nope xD he's forever bitter lmao
Penelope snorted as William tried to belittle her for being with the former criminal. The stubborn old knight seemed to refuse to let go of their beginnings together and to say it was frustrating was an understatement. Although, she was beginning to suspect his pride had taken a hit from when they were sneaking around behind his back and the fact that they were courting now likely only confirmed to him that they had been sneaking around again. The thought made her smirk a bit tauntingly at William as Crow went on to point out the flaws in his argument.

"The only treason here a knight betraying her kingdom." William scowled. His gaze shifted over to glare accusingly at Penelope. "You really didn't learn a damn thing from when he escaped at the border did you? You're still that same naive girl who's going to get her reputation ruined because of a criminal. A disgrace yet again."

"The only disgrace here is the annoying knight who thinks he knows everything." Penelope countered, rolling her eyes at him. She crossed her arms over her chest and met William's gaze with a glare. "I'm plenty aware of who I'm with and what people like you are going to say. Believe it or not William but there are somethings more important than your stuck up values. Maybe if you realized this you could find something more productive to do rather than badgering us."

William's jaw clenched furiously at her words. "Don't expect pity from me when something goes wrong again this time, Vermillion. I kept my mouth shut for two years because I thought you learned better but that's over. This time I won't stop you or him from tearing you down." he spat as he turned to leave.

"As long as it means you'll leave us alone, I could care less." Penelope grunted, reaching to rest her hand on top of Crow's arm defiantly. She shot a glare at the older knight's back as he finally moved to leave them alone. Once there was some distance between them, she let out a small snort and moved to press a little closer to Crow as she relaxed now that the older knight was out of their hair. As suspected, it seemed the days of William keeping their whirlwind romance in Younis to himself were over but that hardly mattered to the knight. People were likely already making that assumption for themselves so all it did was confirm it. "Gods what a bastard..." she grumbled as she quelled her frustration with the older knight. Glancing up at Crow, she offered a joking smirk. "Think I should have left him in the dungeon?"
Sounds good!

Aaannnd I figured it was time William bothered them xD
Penelope gave a small chuckle as he admitted that he had been able to sit alone without interruption. She was glad that the viceroy had found more success than she had. After breakfast that morning, it seemed she still had to make it clear to a couple people—namely Cedric—about how certain she was with her choice of suitor. It was encouraging to hear that at least most people had accepted that the two were together. "That's good." she replied as she leaned her head against her hand. As he went on to ask about her day in Bellmare, she gave a small shrug.

"It was fine. A tad boring but I got what I needed to done." she explained. She casted him a smile. "At least I can say I'm ready to leave now. I'm still trying to decide if I should split off from your group at Wellspring or Silverpool though." While Wellspring was the more obvious answer, traveling to Silverpool to see him off near the border wouldn't be that much of a set back. Not to mention that she was already far ahead of her scheduled return to the warfront. Perhaps taking the extra day wouldn't be such a terrible idea.

"My battalion isn't expecting me back so soon anyways so I suppose seeing you off all the way to Silverpool wouldn't be such a terrible delay." Penelope added with a shrug. The knight was about to ask him about how his day had gone but didn't get the chance to as a very unwelcomed voice interrupted.

"I hope you two are aware this isn't going to last." growled an all too familiar voice.

Turning her head, she looked over to see that William had approached their table. The male knight was scowling at them as he stopped at their table. It seemed that since his efforts with John likely hadn't gone over well, his next tactic was to go straight to them. Penelope rolled her eyes. She had been hoping they'd be leaving before the older knight could bother them anymore than he already was from a distance but it seemed they'd have to put up with him at least this one. "Dear gods William can't you move on already?" she grumbled, no longer holding her tongue with the older knight. He may have held some power over them before but with Crow now a viceroy and their approved courtship, there was nothing he could do or say to separate them.
