Special Zone House
With Aida & Louis
The day went by as well as Audrielle had expected. She had managed to get her way to some extent, mainly through traveling around to various stores. While the shopping itself wasn’t exactly thrilling to the young source blood, getting out of the house was. It was short lived as Aida nagged her about making the trip out short so they could go over the list she and Louis had made the night before. Audrielle had gotten around her patronizing for a decent amount of time before finally folding and picking out a dress. After that, the two had promptly returned back to the house where Louis was eagerly awaiting their arrival.
As she had promised, she sat down and listen to the the two blabber on about choices they felt were fitting to be her guardian. The young source blood barely paid them any attention during that time. Instead, she lounged comfortably on the couch, her mind wandering to other places. Namely the party that they’d soon be getting ready for. Audrielle knew it would likely be quite the evening, largely because of who was hosting it. Belmont must have been playing at some angle but it was difficult to say no to the opportunity he was presenting her. Perhaps it was a bit foolish but she’d sooner choose someone at the party than anyone of the random names Louis and Aida were listing off. At least then she would know that they wouldn’t be another ‘caretaker’ type trying to keep her locked up for her own safety.
Eventually the two finished their list and naturally, Audrielle just left them with the airy reply of ‘I’ll keep them in mind’ before hurrying off to get ready for the night’s events. As it grew later in the evening, the young source blood spent her time fixing her hair—braiding a strand of her golden hair and then curling the rest of it into thick ringlets—and adding a touch of make up to her face. Since it was a masquerade, the make up she did add was very light. A touch of mascara with eyeliner, and some lipstick to finish off a simple look. Finally, she put on her dress and mask for the event.
The dress was long, black mermaid gown with a sweetheart neckline. The bottom half was a tiered skirt, keeping it just above the ground without allowing for much of her shoes or legs to show. The top and bottom were both embroidered with elegant, golden designs. Her mask tied right into the dress as well. It covered from the lower half of her forehead down to her nose. The mask was fairly simple in design. It was pitch black with vines of gold along the edges. On one side, a fake, black rose had been attached while on the other side, a smaller golden rose was glued on. Straightening out her clothing and throwing on a pair of black heels that she had also purchased that day, Audrielle made her way out of her room to join the others that were already waiting downstairs for her.
“Oh, you look lovely, Audrielle.” Aida gave a smiled as her friend came into view.
“Thanks. You do to.” the young source blood replied unable to keep the surprise out her voice as she looked at her two caretakers. She couldn’t remember a time seeing them dressed up the way they were now. Aida wore a long, dark crimson dress with a plunging neckline. Her mask was shaped like butterfly wings and was the same dark crimson color. Louis, though not as bold as Aida, wore a simple black blazer with a red undershirt. His mask was pitch black and in the shape of bird’s beak, covering most of his face. “I feel like you two did a bit of color coordinating.”
“We did.” Louis spoke crossing his arms over his chest. “Should anything go wrong there, I hope that you’ll be able to find us.” Aida nodded her head in strong agreement. Her gaze met Audrielle’s with a hint of concern. “That’s right. Belmont and his intentions aside, there will be other characters there that might be a bit shady.”
Audrielle rolled her eyes, feeling like a young teen before prom with the way the two talked. “Relax you guys.” she sighed. “I’m wearing a mask and I doubt Belmont will even announce who I am until later in the night. Just try to enjoy the party and I’ll try to find a potential guardian, ok?” A silence followed as Louis and Aida exchanged uneasy looks, still not fully convinced of the safety of the party they were going to. Audrielle let out a small huff of annoyance. “—And if something goes wrong, I’ll find you.” she assured with emphasis on the ‘if’ part. The two caretakers seemed to relax a little at her reassurance before nodding their heads in agreement with her words.
“Yes, please do.” Louis sighed before digging into his pocket for his keys. Though he still dreaded having to go to the party that evening, he knew there was no sense in putting it off now that all three of them were dressed and ready. “Now that that’s settled, let’s head out.” he said with a motion to leave. As the two women followed him towards the door, the old blood began to brace himself to undermine whatever Belmont had in plan. Simon would certainly be pissed at him if he didn’t and he also personally didn’t want Audrielle playing right into the older source blood’s hand as he had a feeling their goals likely didn't line up.
