I figured 165 pounds (75 kilograms) ain't bad for a 6 foot (183 centimeter) mummy. I added that to the CS as well, but telling you like this seems easier. He has the healing factor, but I guess super strength may have not been the best way of putting it. He's strong enough to go toe-to-toe with most heroes, but he won't be throwing cars through the air. Maybe lifting them up and dropping them on top of people, but he won't send them flying through the sky or anything. And I wasn't planning on making anymore changes beyond what I did already.

Appearance (description/picture): 6 feet tall, 165 pounds. There are several holes worn through his body either by decay or battle wounds. He wears a only the cloth that his body was wrapped in before he was buried. Whatever skin is left is the color of someone who has been mummified. What few wisps of stringy hair that remain have been bleached bone white by age. He still wears the mask he was buried in (which looks a lot like this ) He wears a necklace of one ear from each person he has consumed. It's quite a large necklace.

Hero/Villain: Villian

Personality/motives: He has been killed and reborn so, so many times that he now searches for someone who can finally put him to rest, and kills everyone who can't. He lives in a series of long abandoned metro tunnels that run under the city, only emerging when the urge to kill becomes overwhelming. Years of throwing himself into battles has left his body scarred and beaten, but not broken. He was a Mayan prince who fell ill with the diseases brought over by the invading Spaniards. Realizing that he was quickly dying, he asked his priests to begin a ritual which would shield his soul from being claimed by the Underworld while his body healed. The spell was a success, but the prince perished soon after. Mourned by his people, he was mummified and buried. His soul was spat back by the Underworld and he awoke, entombed in the earth as his people were wiped out. As the jungles creep back to claim the Mayan city, tree roots gradually erode the walls of his tomb and he is able to escape. In his long isolation, he forgets what sinister powers keep him alive, but he knows that only killing and consuming the bodies brings him temporary relief from the pain of death long overdue. After he escapes, he begins to roam the Earth, searching for an end to his pain. A group of heroes stumbled upon him cannibalizing one of his kills once, and the fight that followed was the closest to death that he could remember experiencing. Since that day he comes up with schemes and machinations to lure other heroes who may be powerful enough to kill him. He senses that if he goes to Times Square, he will never return. He doesn't regret killing other people, and doesn't even really think what he's doing is wrong. He just needs rest.

He became bored with just killing, so now he enjoys to toy with his victims before the end. He has a particular affinity for bombs, as he enjoys the amount of people they kill for the minimal amount of effort on his part. Laughs maniacally while he kills, or thinks of the destruction that he is visiting on people.

Powers: Extreme healing factor leads to most people assuming he is dead when he is just very badly beaten; superhuman strength

History: Born on Monday, christened on Tuesday, married on Wednesday, fell ill on Thursday, grew worse on Friday, died on Saturday, buried on Sunday

He calls himself Solomon Grundy because he heard one of his victims recite the nursery rhyme as he stalked them, and found that he quite liked it.

He isn't immortal, just very, very, very, very, very, very, very durable. If you pummel him hard enough he will die, but most assume that there's no way anyone could survive the beating that they just put him through and they turn out to be wrong.

The comment about his skin looking like it belongs to someone who was mummified gave me an idea for his history. Its not a very good one, but its something. Maybe he was an Egyptian (or some other ancient civilization) prince who grew ill and the priests in his charge, in an attempt to heal him, used a spell to ward off Anubis (or some other god of death) and keep his soul in his body until he was able to heal, but the spell worked a little too well and he died from his disease, but his soul stayed and he was mummified and buried before waking in his tomb. He escaped and was chased away by the horrified priests and now he wanders the world, ending up in Manhattan by some strange circumstances, looking for somebody who can finally release his soul from eternal torment.

NOTE: This is not the final character sheet. I'm only posting this now because something about it just feels...off, but I can't really figure out what. I'm hoping that several extra pairs (no offense to any cyclops here) of eyes will aid me in my noble quest. I'm just curious what you guys all think so far, and if you can suggest areas that I can tweak to make him a stronger character. I'm open to changing preeeeeeetty much everything but the Solomon Grundy bit. He's my favorite comic book villain.

“I'm going to throw a party tomorrow night. Ya know, to kick off this whole 'sober until we win the Cup' thing.”

“I thought you were going to abstain from sex?” Nicholas asked, hoping that he wouldn't have to walk in on Lonan this year. Yeah, there were curtains around all the beds, but just hearing someone have sex in the same room you're in is...disconcerting.

“Yeah, that was my original plan. And then I saw Zelda walk past two or three times and it has given me serious pause about that. Have you seen her ass?”

There was a slight awkward pause, the kind that always came up the first few weeks of school until people readjusted to how Lonan spoke and behaved after a summer away from him. And then Lonan remembered what Nicholas was talking about, and trundled on like nothing had ever happened.

“I don't want to go to the feast. I'm just gonna stare at that Quidditch Cup all night, up there with those damn gold and red ribbons when anyone with half of a goddamn brain stem knows that we should have won that Cup, but...”

And he stopped and took a few deep breaths because he could feel the anger churning around his stomach, and he didn't want to start screaming about Quidditch until the first practice of the year, or at least until the team was in the Slytherin common room later that night. He changed the subject.

“What have you all been up to this summer?”
