Personality: Outgoing and friendly, on first glance, Sebastian Holmström seems to be a normal, average teenager. Although he lived his entire life as a free spirit in the middle east, he still fakes an air of nobility and power above some due to his heritage. Although he can be brash at times, when not around large groups of people his personality turns much more calm and well spirited, as well as a very huge increase in the loosening up of his noble ways, back to a more young adult act. In this state, his magical energy is very loose and winded, and as so, he has a large amount of difficulty using any sort of magecraft.
However, he has an Alter-personality, one which was crafted from the death of his false parents. In this state, he is cold, cynical, and really, thinks only of the task at hand, rather than the feelings or emotions of those around him. He is cunning, tactical, and wise- And his abilities in magecraft are multiplied several times. This is his 'Zone', and the state he is seen most in when in combat- However, it also brings out the worst in him, which makes being around him absolutely insufferable.
Backstory Stuff; Sebastian Holmström, of the Holmström family. Although the Holmström family is not as well known as some other Magi families, they boasted themselves to have quite a lineage of great mages, with traditional methods and arranged marriages to create the perfect child to pass onto every time. This legacy had continued for nearly 150 years. Their ways of teaching were strict and merciless, to obtain the greatest potential out of their successors. They lived in a massive castle in Norway, one of which they could conduct all of their training in, as well as boasting quite a great quality of life.
In [REDACTED YEAR], the current holder of the Family Crest, Victor Holmström, and his wife, Sabela Holmström, birthed a child by the name of Sebastian. This child was to be the successor of the Holmström magi line, and as so, at birth, was transplanted with his fathers Magical Crest. The procedure was a success, and the child spent two years in the care of his mother, father, and a list of noble maids and servants.
However, there was more to the story then met the eye. Victors brother, Clyde, who had not been selected to receive the Magical Crest from their father, had a tight, hesitant bond with his brother. Although he did not possess the Crest, he was still an avid user of magic in the family, having quite a few magical circuits in him, and having not been adopted off at birth. Clyde had fallen in love with one of the maids of the castle, Rosalia Miedel. Clyde and Rose married in 1996, and although she still worked as a maid, she lived for the most part under her husbands funds.
Deciding that they too wanted to have a child, the two adults began attempting to conceive a boy of their own. Over a year of unsuccessful attempts, however, they were brought to a grim realization- Rose could not bear children. It was a crushing blow for both husband and wife, as they realized they would never be able to branch off from their family and create a calm, family of their own.
That was, of course, until [REDACTED YEAR], when Sebastian was born. Clyde saw it as an opportunity- Both to get back at his brother and as a chance to raise a child of his own, just like Rose wanted. So, under the guise of night, after two years of planning, Clyde and Rose stole the child in his sleep. Their plan, which consisted of destroying the boundary fields that surrounded the castle in the matter of a single night, was one of Clydes greatest feats of his Magical career. It succeeded, and they, as well as the child, flew off to a place they knew their family would never find them- Dubai, Saudi Arabia. They changed their last and first names, to Thomas and Seanna Cook, and created a boundary field of their own, far out on the outskirts of the city. The couple hoped, that here, they would never be found, and that they could raise their child in peace.
And so they did. For 13 years, Sebastian Cook lived with his mother and father in the outskirts of Dubai, living modestly and completely unaware of what he really was. His ‘Parents’ wanted nothing more then for him to grow up as a normal child, rather than having him be pushed into a painful and strict regiment to become the perfect magus for the Holmstroms.
Of course, no peace lasts forever. On Sebastians 15th birthday, his father suffered a terrible accident at his place of work, and the boundary field that he had to spend so much energy keeping alive, fell. What followed was a hell the child would never forget. In mere hours, the Holmström family, who had been furiously searching for their child for over 11 years, had their target, and were now at the doorstep of the person who had abducted him. Immediately, they mercilessly slaughtered Seanna in front of Sebastian, and grabbed the child back into their grasp. Although he was now to old to receive the training the family had in mind for him, his potential would not be shamelessly wasted. Not only could he still succeed the line, but he could still learn magic, though perhaps, through different means- Such as the means of the teachers of Clock Tower. Although not quite as strict nor as harsh as the Holmström’s themselves, they still believed the rightful child and heir to the magical crest could rise up to be as great a mage as any other…
And off he was sent. He never really got a choice in the matter. At 15 years old, he was sent, willing or not, straight to the Clock Tower, where he would be pushed into learning magic- Something he had no idea even existed up until now. He didn't want it, and he certainly didn't like it… But deep down, the boy had his own reasons for going along with his true parents plans. It was years later, after many years of learning in the Clock Tower, did he stumble upon the secrets of the Holy Grail War. He knew this was his closest chance at revenge against his family he would ever be able to obtain, so after quite a bit of talk with his parents, as well as a year or so of preparations, he was sent to Japan, to "Bring glory to the Holmstrom name", and make a page in history.
He was fully aware what he was getting into. And to be honest? He didn't really care. He had only two things on his mind- Victory, and Vengeance.
