He wanted to jump across the table and kiss her, but he resisted and just said dumb thing after dumb thing.He looked over at Katherin and his mind calmed. She had this peace about her that seemed to ground Dante.

Delilah glared at Dante before resting her head in her hands, she didn't want his help, or his advice, and she didn't want to write books. She wasn't like them. She wasn't an artist, she didn't heal the sick, she didn't tutor little brats and shape their minds. She was simple. "Whatever, Dante, I don't need your help. I'd rather take advice from someone else."

Delilah glared at Dante. Who did he think she was? A nymphomaniac? Why did he have to call her out like that, especially in front of the others. She folded her arms and opened her mouth to retort, but started at the table instead. It took her a minute to calm down and stop thinking of a way to sneakily kick him in the nuts. "I don't exactly like little children...and I suck at art," she paused, looking up at him. "And I would prefer following my own path, at least with my job. Unlike the rest of you, I don't want to teach, or be a hooker."

Dimitri is accepted! Mr. Blank however, needs to be worked on. If you could take away his ability to get a background check on everyone, or simply lesson it, that would be appreciated. And, the whole escape thing sounds fun, but I don't see how that would happen without a floor plan of whatever building/area he is in. I get that in a certain part of town like a park or something, that would work, but not I, the Mayor's office or things like that.

Delilah smiled at Dante, he was right about Katherin. Delilah wondered if Katherin had a pretty voice, she also wondered what would happen if she spoke without Secret's consent. "Dante is right Katherin, we should find a way for you to talk. I bet you have a really pretty voice, it deserves to be used." Delilah started to look over the other things Katherin had written, she stopped at the one that concerned her and her demon and laughed. If only they knew. Delilah wanted to say, but she resisted. "I like the idea of becoming a teacher, but I'm not that smart. Maybe I could work as a maid? Or a babysitter? Something like that, it wouldn't make much money though..." She had moved from the bacon to a slice of toast, glancing between the others.
