"Today you will make a picture of what summer means to you." The counselors told the kids. They handed out papers and set colored pencils on the tables.
Celia sighed, she picked up a paintbrush, then replaced it with a couple of crayons and a lead pencil. With a grimace she started to draw.
Halfway through a word her pencil snapped, because of her frustration. She cradled her face in her palm and studied what she had so far. A man, and a woman both grey in a world full of colorful people. The woman stood in an ocean of blue water, looking depressed and reaching a hand out in the hopes of touching the crowd, while the man stood in the crowd, looking happy. Her pencil had snapped while she wrote 'Searching' in the bottom corner. She shook her head and finished the line with a crayon.
She peaked at the others, and shrugged, sitting on the floor and waiting.
