Alvina was so excited to finally be making a difference. She was lucky enough to come from another city that was safer, and to have supportive parents. She thought it was awful that she was so incredibly thankful that her parents were just alive. She didn't want any more children to lose their parents. She also specifically wanted to help girls who were being assaulted by men. She knew she was always so scared when men followed her down the street or stood outside of her work, waiting for her to get off her shift, and she wanted to do whatever she could to protect other girls from that. She wasn't bothering to worry about the dangers of what they would face because she felt it wasn't much different than what any average citizen faced. They'd just be drawing the crime to them more. She believed they could handle it.
She didn't bother replying to Ally's text since she didn't live too far away. She headed to Ally's place and knocked on the door before stepping inside.
"Hey, guys," she smiled, "Can you believe we're really doing this?"
