Bio

Welcome to my profile page

You found it

I guess it really isn't that hard though either.

I've been on this site for two years and I haven't written a bio, but I figured it's better late than never :P

I like to play a variety of different characters, but most tend to be humans in a modern setting. I feel like I tend to relate better if they're human, and I like roleplay plots that center more around the characters themselves and character development, versus magic or some "quest" going on.

My favorite genres are modern, slice of life, horror, and a good helping of romance on the side. However, I dislike 1x1 roleplays and like for romance to be a casual side plot rather than the center of the roleplay.

I enjoy characters with unusual personalities, but are fairly normal and well adjusted. They don't need pages of backstory or personality, they just need to sound believable to me.

I started roleplaying online about 7 years ago, and I was doing tabletop roleplaying a few years before that. I still actively participate in table top games, and my interest in roleplaying online waxes and wanes.

I like to write a lot, but I find the standards in a lot of advanced roleplaying sections to be rather intimidating, so I stick to casual or free roleplays.

I (like many other people on this site), think wayy too much about their characters and their backstories. I really hope to animate one day or get my characters out to the world in a more professional way, but for now I enjoy roleplaying them and seeing how they change and develop.

Thanks for reading :)

In mere seconds, a figure whooshed past Fillan, it was the same guy he'd seen earlier and he was making a mad dash towards Lalisa and the stranger. Fillan pressed his back up against the cold brick wall, his expression nervous and head swarming like the leeches with thoughts. The guy with jet black hair exchanged words with the stranger, Fillan could see his lips moving but it was all oddly deaf to him. The guy grabbed Lalisa from the crumpling stranger and moved over to the side. He set her down and began to furiously work on pulling the leeches off of her. I should go over there. What am I even doing? Even though he wanted to feel brave and run over there, the best he could do was shuffle his feet a few inches closer. I can't just stand here and watch people die... He prodded himself to move a little closer.

Then he stopped dead in his tracks.

The guy looked straight at him. Fillan felt like being spotted creeping down the hall looked at least somewhat suspicious and he had the burning urge to become invisible. In one instant, he wished he was back at his old desk with his math textbooks and stacks of math packets. He shook it off, No, I need to stay here, in the present. The guy had asked me to come over and help, that's all. He stepped away from the brick wall and hurried over towards Lalisa. The guy was ripping the leeches off of her. Fillan followed suit, trying his best not to look uncomfortable grabbing grubs. He almost forgot about the stranger until he heard a small noise. He tossed his head and looked over his shoulder at the stranger, his teal eyes a little puzzled as they searched the person. They had horns, which he noticed just now. Who are they? Maybe I should talk to this person at some point.
Further off, but quickly closing the gap, he saw someone hustling down the hall. She had a fierce expression on her face. What's her name again? Ashley? Ashley hurled towards the group at top speed. Fillan shot his gaze back down at Lalisa and tried to focus on these leeches. Kludd said something about staying away from her for some reason...but why?
"What are you doing!? She doesn't need a guy defending her!"
Ashley thundered, but also sounded a little ragged as she spoke. Fillan cowered a little closer to the floor, hoping to escape by unnoticed as he continued to pull the leeches. Maybe that's why...

Almost as soon as Ashley said something, Lalisa's eyes flickered open and then she started screaming. He was startled by the sudden cry and leaped backwards, his face mixed with fear and worry.
@OliveYou
Haha, no your post is great! You did really well writing out the dream sequence, I enjoyed reading it.
@Metamore @OliveYou
Alrighty, good to know that now! I should have taken the time to think things through while writing my post, but I was very busy, so I focused on getting just the bare minimum down to signal that I was still alive. I can edit my post to where Fillan can only see Seren and Lalisa towards the end, that way OliveYou can post with her dream sequence.
@Metamore
Oh whoops. I had assumed since they could hit others (and be hit), they were corporeal beings. What you said makes sense as well though.
@OliveYou
Couldn't we have a group of three? It would be easier to have interactions with rather than having Lalisa alone.

Why do I get the suspicion everyone's just secretly shipping Fillan and Kludd?
@Metamore@OliveYou

Haha, Fillan and Kludd are just friends, guys.
Fillan pressed himself up against the back wall of the Great Hall, trying his best to avoid getting caught in the fray. As weapons clashed and spells were cast, things were starting to look more hopeful to him. He fiddled slightly with his tie as he stood back, unsure of what to do. Most of these students looked like they were professional fighters, using their weapons and striking without any second thoughts. He was in disbelief, How can they do that? Just...fight? Is is in their nature? In everyone's nature? Fight or flight? Fillan tried assessing his situation, Is there any strategy to this? What sense of law is prevalent in the midst of all this chaos? The law of club and fang? Kill or be killed... Tossing a glance to his side, Kludd was a lighthouse, his hands held out. He looked deceptively confident about what he was doing. A blue bubble surrounded them like a cell membrane as the battle raged onward.

The fight seemed to be reaching near it's resolution. Fillan could feel the bitterness growing inside him. I've done nothing, absolutely nothing! What am I, a leaden idol? He crumpled internally, burying his face within his hands. his heart pounded and he could feel sweat gather at his brows. Why am I even here?

His thoughts were interrupted by a tremor racing through the floor. Fillan snapped his hand to the back wall to prevent himself from falling. Out of the ground rose a gigantic shadow bear, the edges of the bear-shaped apparition were whispy and blurred against the background it appeared in. Despite being a spirit itself, the stifling vortex which is a parody to true eyes was only soulless, devoid of any regular animation that may hint towards any of the normal indicators of life. Those eyes look like they can suck your soul right out of you... He held his breath as it rose it's snout to the sky and let loose a deafening roar. Broken from his spell, Fillan slowly retreated away from it, slinking along the back wall, but never letting his eyes leave the phantom.

The bear seemed to have it's attention drawn somewhere else and lumbered away from his direction. Fillan shuddered as he realized it had taken notice of another student, whose arm was maimed. That's the kid from earlier! The one who tried to take Kludd's wallet! Despite being injured, the blonde haired boy had a defiant expression which he wore like war paint on his face. While the kid looked courageous, Fillan stood in silent disbelief; he had a gut feeling things weren't going to turn out well. The kid was lightning fast however and the deep gash on his forearm didn't seem to bother him any as he nimbly sidled up next to the beast and dug his blade into it's back before darting once more away. Feine, the boy with the white hair, charged headlong into battle, racing towards the bear. Fillan tore his eyes away from the scene, he could hear something- someone. In din of the battle, he could pick out one sound perfectly;
"Please wake up now!"

Time slowed down, Fillan scrambled along the edge of the room, avoiding the rust colored blades and ebony claws of nameless creatures. His feet clumsily fell into place as he dashed towards the direction of the cry for help.

Parting his way through the clamor, Fillan witnessed a dire sight. He couldn't tell who the strange student was, a clock draped their body and light hair obscured their features. Who Fillan could recognize was the unconscious girl the stranger was attempting to carry on their back. Lalisa. All of her color was drained from her and the kid who carried her trembled beneath her weight. Leech-like creatures swarmed around them, encircling the pair. He felt his heart freeze with indecision, What am I doing here?

Sorry for not posting, I'll see about getting one up tomorrow. I'm still interested in this roleplay I've just been dealing with some writer's block right now.
