I'm thinking of starting a pretty in-depth Virtual Reality RP, Obviously there will be conflict.. and we may curve into the classics including but not limited to (trapped inside the virtual world) and possibly even consider some hardcore aspects (if you die in the game you die in real life.) But that's a bit dramatic.

This will take reference to most classic MMORPG's out there, anime's included (dot hack, log horizon, sword art) To name a few.

I still haven't decided if the game will be a new concept, (just came out and you will base your characters on beginners) or an old game with new updates having your characters be veteran status.

Both have their pros and cons which I can explain if there are enough interests.

The character sheets will be separated in two categories. Your character in real life, as well as the class/race your character will play in the virtual world. The real life character will judge the play style of the character in the game. Not exactly mirroring this, but it will give somewhat of a way to keep a balance as to why they do what they do.

I will lay out the foundation, a map and gear/item quality as well as host numerous "events" that happen within such virtual world.

For now I will set no limit on how many people we can get.
I'm interested.
"that's a carrot." The gentlemen beside Litheal said to himself as he measured the food with his hand. Examining it intently.

"I'm no expert but that is definitely a banana." Litheal sighed into his cup of tea, "What did they put in your tea?"

The man set the banana down, "When did they start making banana's orange?"

Litheal's eyes shifted around the shop curiously trying to decide if this conversation was worth pursuing. To his right sat another man, this man was staring at him like a cow stares at an on coming train. Like a deer in the headlights they stared at each other for the longest time.

"who are you talking to?" The second man asked curiously.

"Who this fellow?" Litheal tilted his head back gesturing at the man behind him.

This puzzled the second man even more. Looking back Litheal understood why, the first man was a hallucination. Well this is awkward.

"Nobody." Litheal muttered finishing his tea. "Have a good day."

Litheal stood up slowly, his lips sealed but his mind racing.

Of all the dumb things you could come up with, it had to be a man mistaking a banana for a carrot? What is wrong with you.
Boring

What is this?

Why are there so many people here?

Litheal stood staring at the crowd around the convenient store, the skin on his face was a ruby red from the spirits he had been drinking, the smell of alcohol loitered around him like a cheap swoozy from a shot bar across the country. those easterners really know how to squeeze every last cent out of you.

The noise wasn't loud, the people knew their place in this town but it was still over the top for Litheal, he sighed straightening up. Walking with careful precision to not look like a total fool he followed the path down to the tea shop where he would find a simple remedy to this hang over. Another small group passed him, the cheerful faces and laughing. we need another plague.

"Oi" He gestured as he entered the tea shop, "the regular!" His voice carried a calm yet slurred demanding tone but nobody ever took it seriously.

"Please?" His voice changing considerably as he found a seat smiling softly.
@Chronothesis

That would be good, maybe have a pub? for a social aspect, as well as a way for my character to restock on his liquor. (maybe I'll try to get him a job there lol)

Let me know if this is alright.

Vision, a once thriving utopia, in the heart of the greatest place on earth, once known as New York, is isolated after drug cartel's and gang wars broke out through the streets. Quarantined from the world, The city was referred to by the Hegemon as 'the worlds cancer.'

The plan was to isolate and let them die of starvation or kill one another, that never happened, soon after isolation Vision formed a unified hate against the rest of the world. Frightened the Hegemon sent in forces to eradicate the surviving forces of Vision, only to be killed themselves, leaving the people of Vision with the high tech weapons of today to defend against another invasion.

Worried news would break out, a nuclear strike was to be implemented on Vision. Though nuclear weapons were disposed of in the early 21st century, they improvised with a biological weapon that would be safer and still have the effects of the radiation on the people.

After the biological drop, thousands still survived, some mutating, skin boiling, skin sagging until their muscles were the only thing left, some.. extra limbs. But those were the less fortunate. The more fortunate came out into the black ash of sky, and saw the sun through hell. They felt an unusual gift had been placed upon them. They were the soldiers of Vision.
Satellites picked it up right away, a human flame thrower destroying cars in a parking lot, a building being froze over. One man was to fast for the computer, as people started leaping buildings and blocks. Some mutations, had no inverse effects.

Outside the walls, its 2346, Inside Vision, it is 19 days After the Drop "AD"

It was time for Vision to rise.

Outside of these walls is freedom, outside of these walls is power, THEY FEAR US! We are the council, Vision's sight, and sound, we will rise, and we will claim what they have stolen from us! Our planet! We can't be shut out, we can't be contained. And we will not be misjudged.

With armies building quicker than lives can be made, the world prepares for the fire that will start as soon as Vision declares war. Super human's are a thing of tomorrow, with only defective clones and cyborg surrogates to manipulate soldiers, real human's armed to the teeth in firepower will have to do their best to contain the imminent breach.

A blind man who could talk to technology let the world know the plans of Vision, no negotiations were made, no ransom. The only message he sent via an old mobile phone through a wifi connection was. "Vision is holding the world hostage. And there won't be any survivors."

The world outside, the population goes about their lives, not in-tuned with what has been going on inside Vision, to their knowledge. Nobody was inside the walls.

Let us rise, for the downfall of civilization.

If you've read this far I'm assuming I've peaked your interest. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Oh wait, it's midnight...and I'm tired. I'm going to bed DX sorry guys Im so tired at the time D:

Is this a sample on how slow it's going to be? ;)

I'm interested if I can be the village drunk.
Litheal sighed, he hadn't slept in days and the alley way cost him very little time in making his way to the cruiser. On the rooftops he could see the city in all its disorganized beauty. Behind him sat an old blanket, a makeshift bed it was his getaway that nobody knew about. It sat directly under the overhanging roof of the building next to it for keeping the rain off during long nights. This was the place he returned when he couldn't find an empty house to stay in. Looking forward over the city he knew he might be a little late, who arrives on time these days? Letting his foot touch the empty space off the building he pushed forward, almost like a crack of thunder he was four buildings over in a dash to the edge, another crack of thunder and he was further along. By the time he got to the hanger he was worn out. He had only been here once, only knowing one or two faces he felt like a true outsider. Inside the hangar Litheal wandered, still fascinated with all of the gadgets and technology. Misery was wrapped from hilt to tip in a fine white silk cloth that slung across the back of his shoulder, he idled momentarily taking in how everybody was reacting to the mission and how to interpret them in a strategy.
Not that its not going to happen sooner or later but does anybody need a 'familiar face' that can be somewhat friends with Litheal? I could work him into the group but a shout out to join the team by somebody he knows will probably help (somebody who isn't blood thirsty preferably.) Somebody who knows he'll be a good person to have around when people are lookin to kill lol. It doesn't have to be in the present, it can be in a flashback just pm me or talk here.
