Kamina winced. They had just saved this place, and now they had to rob it. "I don't like this...I don't like it one bit" he sighed, in a rare (for him) moment of melancholy "I don't suppose we can try talking to them; explain why we need it and everything?" Kamina suggested "Just taking it from them doesn't sit right with me at all. I'd much rather convince them to let us take it if we can."

The sudden distress of his teammates made Tini drop them like they had suddenly become scorching hot "Gah!" he let out a panicked sound as he began making other distressed Tini noises. The all stopped when he looked at his hands again, got another idea, and then started hugging himself "Hahhhhhhhhh..." He sighed "Self hugs...so wonderful" he then began making silly giggling noises.

Prome bowed "You have my eternal gratitude oh wise sages of machines. I bid you adu, for I having planing and plotting to do!" He then left their home and ran all the way to the inn, cackling all the way. Once there, he got himself a room and locked himself inside to begin designing his new creation.

Prome almost punched the 'yes' button, but managed to merely press it "Yessssss..." he began to cackle "I can see a mighty mount. One that could carry me across all manner of terrain, and see me through any battle! From atop it, I shall lay waste to my foes, and will definitely not almost get killed by a rain of magic bolts!" He rubbed his hands together with a manic smile on his face "Yes...the monsters of this world shall learn my name and tremble!" If someone listened hard enough, they would have been able to hear the faint sound of thunder as he said 'tremble'

The talking dolphin failed to completely dispel his worries, but there was very few things that could, so he didn't let it bother him too much. The fact that they didn't direct answer to the 'how long are we going to be here?' question was a little unnerving though. On top of that, they still didn't know who was responsible for all of this. Sure, the dolphin said he was in charge of this place, but he also mentioned that he had a boss. 'If this really is on the level, then why didn't we get a heads up? And why did we get brought here in our sleep?' he wondered to himself 'That's the part that really has me bothered; we didn't get any say in this. What if any of us hated the beach, or couldn't come for some other reason?' His mind suddenly turned the the Arena the dolphin mentioned, and some very dark thoughts flashed in his mind '...could it be?'

"Alex...Are you thinking what I'm thinking?"

Lily's voice pulled him out of his musings, and he briefly pondered the idea of Lily of all people, having the train of thought that he was "For your sake, I really hope not." That did manage to remind him of something though; if this really was on the level, then it had to go perfect. While he wasn't too worked up about about wasting his own vacation, the idea of a crying Lily was something he wished he could purge from his mind 'I'm still not used to that'. So while his survival instincts yelled at him to find somewhere to hide out, or to grab the dolphin and force the answers out of him, he stuffed that voice in a bottle and buried it deep inside of him. He had to at least try to make this vacation wonderful, Lily deserved that much.

"I think...I'm going to try and sing." Lily spoke up again as she took his hand.

"I didn't know you sang" Alexander remarked as some girl dragged away that one guy with emotion magic 'Dammit, what was his name again?' However, in an attempt to lessen his anxiety, he allowed his Beast magic to flow through his body. His hair grew and two ears popped up, and he felt his senses expand 'There, that should be better' He allowed himself to relax a bit as he suddenly felt much more aware of his surroundings "Well, I've never been to the beach before, and I sure as hell haven't been on a date before, so I'll just follow your lead on this Lily." he told her

Prome got to his feet "I am but a humble Tinkerer." He began "I have heard that you can guide those who walk such a path to greater mechanical mastery. The sudden appearance of a girl identical to a member of their little group instantly put Alexander on edge. 'Now I remember her; she's that girl that just came out of nowhere during the castle raid.' Having identified one of the faces with them made him feel a little more at ease, but her clone still bothered him 'But please don't let this be what I think it is.' His breathing started to speed in in a slow panic...until he felt Lily grip him tighter, and despite the immensely pleasant, almost ticklish, tingle following through his body, his mind felt clear. 'That's right; I have a girlfriend now. What was it that a boyfriend is supposed to do for his girlfriend in a horror movie again to make them feel better?' Alexander's mind began to comb through many hours of horror schlock recorded in his memory in search of an answer. Suddenly, he found it. Slipping his arm out of her grasp, he used it to lightly squeeze her next to him. Then he whispered in her ear "Don't worry; you aren't going to get replaced by a doppelganger. I'll protect you." With his girlfriend taken care of, Alexander was left to hope that the possible pod person behind them didn't hear him.

Alexander turned to the clone that had touched Tetrad "Feel anything?"

"Nope, just skin" He answered

"This is so weird. Hey, one of you touch Lily."

One of the clones came by and put their hand on her forehead before jerking pack in shock "Yeah, definitely felt that."

"Okay, so it's not because you're clones." Alexander shook his head "Anyway, who was that girl? She was pretty weird."

Prome prostrated himself before the women "Oh wise sage of machines, I have come seeking your teachings! I beseech you; bestow upon me the knowledge to create wonders beyond comprehensions. When Lily wrapped herself around his arm, Alexander felt like that very same arm was caught in a massive electrical current...but in a good way. 'Is...is she using magic on me? Or is this just what girls feel like?'

"-ex, can you use your clones to carry the sleeping girls? I don't think we need to go far from here."

"Huh?" he blinked dumbly before his mind caught up. "R-right, yeah sure. Clones" He summoned his wand and made a few clones to lug around the still sleeping girls. When they reached them, they tentatively leaned down to pick them up with grimaces on their faces. Alexander looked at them, then at Lily, and then back at his clones 'Ah, right. I get it; that sensation would be rather distracting.' Finally, one of the clones reach the arm of a girl...and touched it

"...Huh?" The clone then gripped said arm in his hands

"What the hell are you doing?" Asked another clone

"...nothing..."

"What do you mean 'nothing'?"

"I mean I didn't feel anything"

"Seriously?" The other clone reach out to touch the arm of another girl with the palm on his hands "Huh...you're right." He then looked over at Alexander, who was staring at them in confusion, and Lily "But how?"

"Man, I don't even care anymore" And with that, soon the clones picked up the girls in a fireman's carry and started following the others.

"What the hell?" The real Alexander mumbled to himself "Is it because they're clones?" However, his musings were interrupted when Lily began bouncing around.

"Alex Alex ALEX! You can do that trick again! When we returned back to Penrose! You remember, right? Show these girls how cool you are!"

"Buwah!?" The sudden movement caught him off guard 'What trick?' He then glanced over at the ocean 'Oh, right.' He held out his wand, and formed a bridge of magic across the water "It's not quite complete, but I'll be able to fill in the rest when we get closer."
