Sounds good to me~
She's allowed out of the office? She can go to crime scenes and interview people and do investigation type things. I didn't think there could be no repercussions. I can change things, though, if you want and if it'll be easier. The family thing is just a day, something I can easily gloss over if I need to. I was thinking it was sill the middle of the week so there's a bit of time before she gets her day off that he can come back to her. Like I said I can change stuff if it'll be easier.
The silence in the office was unbearable. Laurel resisted the urge to fidget in her seat and she ran her fingertips over the fabric of her nicest slacks as she stared back into the faces of two people who had a hand in deciding her fate. Special Agent in Charge Thomas Madison, her unit's fearless leader and chief and her direct superior, was seated at the desk. Behind him stood Deputy Assistant Director Olivia Manning, the woman who ran the entire White Collar Crime Division in Los Angeles. She was Madison's direct superior and a seasoned White Collar veteran, having spent years as a special agent in the division. Now she ran the whole show and answered only to Assistant Direction Colin Dean, who was in charge of the entire FBI branch of L.A. Laurel was glad that Dean was somehow unable to attend this little meeting, because two pairs of eyes studying her was too much. It was silent for an absurdly long time before Madison broke it. "You've done good work for us over the past couple of years, Agent Shaw. And before that with the L.A.P.D. And I must say when I got the call last night that you had...well I didn't believe it at first." Laurel sat there in the chair, looking at the desktop and not saying anything at first because what was she going to say? Was she going to try and make some sort of excuse, pin the blame on someone else, try to worm her way out of taking responsibility for it? There were a few more moments of silence before she looked up at her bosses. "Am I fired?" she asked them bluntly. She couldn't wait any longer. Madison and Manning exchanged a long look with one another, before Manning nodded once and Madison looked back at Laurel. She had worked with him since she started at the FBI, and he had mentored her in many ways. She was intelligent, resourceful, a fast thinker, and a damn good agent, and now she had made a costly mistake that she couldn't take back or run from. And Thomas couldn't do much to help her, but he would do what he could. "No, Laurel. You're not fired." The woman seemed to slump a bit in relief, as though some tension had vanished without a trace. Olivia Manning spoke next, her tone was soft but also direct and commanding attention. "I'm sure you've realized this, Agent Shaw, but you need to hear it. This is far from over and it's going to be a long and difficult road for you. We're not going to fire you now, but if this goes to court and things go badly we may not have a choice. We may be forced to fire you. We may be forced to arrest you. It would all depend on the jury. And if things get worse..." She didn't have to elaborate on what "worse" meant. She meant if James Weller died. "If things get worse you will likely not have a chance in court." Laurel didn't respond, but both of her bosses knew that she understood her predicament completely. Her fingers trembled slightly, but other than that she was composed and taking everything very seriously. After a moment Laurel looked up at Olivia and met her gaze. "I understand everything you're saying, Director Manning. I understand the severity of my actions and the consequences that I may be facing. I understand, and I am not going to run from any of it. What happened last night was my fault, and I plan to take full responsibility for my actions." Olivia Manning's steel gray eyes studied the younger woman, looking for any traces of dishonesty and seeing none. She nodded her head in approval. Laurel Shaw had made a grave miscalculation and had made the biggest mistake any law enforcement officer could make. But she wasn't making excuses and wasn't trying to hide from what she had done. She could tell Laurel felt genuine remorse for her actions. Manning respected that. Shaw was a good agent, and a good person. It was a damn shame this had happened. "Laurel," Madison began, "we're not firing you, but there will be some changes. Some restrictions for you." Laurel nodded, expecting this. "You can continue assisting in investigations. As well as gathering information and interviewing suspects and witnesses and such. But when it comes to active duty, going in to make arrests, confronting criminals...you'll be sitting those out. At best you'll be on van duty. At least for now, until any agreements are made or investigations into the incident are finished." Laurel didn't move for a moment, careful not to show emotion beyond understanding. It was disappointing, of course, but expected. She nodded. "You'll also need to surrender your weapon, until you've been deemed fit to carry again." Maybe it was the confusion in her eyes that prompted Manning to speak. "You'll be seeing a therapist. Weekly. Effective immediately." A therapist? Laurel looked from Manning to Madison, wanting to argue. This was ridiculous, she didn't need to see a shrink! Other than the remorse and guilt and the apprehension of the uncertain and difficult times ahead of her she was fine. Perfectly fine. Then the memory of James Weller's specter in her apartment flooded back. "These visits are mandatory, Agent Shaw. Non-negotiable." Madison's tone was firm and Laurel reluctantly nodded, before placing the gun on the desk in front of him. "Go home, Laurel. Fill out the incident report for the paralegal at Gibson Dunn. Lord knows you don't need any extra heat. That'll be all." Laurel rose, smoothing her jacket and shouldering the handbag she made herself take. She nodded to the two superior agents and turned to head for the door. She touched the handle and then turned to look at the two of them again. "Sir, Ma'am, would it be alright if I had this weekend off? To go see my family before it becomes impossible for me to leave the city?" Madison and Manning looked at one another again, sharing a wordless conversation before Manning nodded once. "That will be fine, Agent Shaw. Take care of anything you need to with your family," Thomas told her, and then nodded. "Thank you, Laurel." Laurel pushed the door to the office open and made her way through the hall. She kept her head down and moved quickly. She didn't feel up for running into anybody in her unit at that moment, not even Eric. She didn't stop moving til she was out of the building and in the parking lot next to her car, which had sat there all night long. Laurel closed her eyes and leaned against the car, almost in danger of collapsing completely if she hadn't been bracing herself against the vehicle.
I will be working on my post today. It's really windy right now, so I'm praying it doesn't cause a power outage. Fingers crossed~
Hello~

I'm cars! I'm looking for a couple more nice 1x1s. I do write primarily at an advanced level and prefer female roles as my mains, though I can play male and female characters and do enjoy doubling up as well. I always create multiple characters for support that are both male and female. I like modern, Earth-based plots, sometimes with fantasy/supernatural/sci-fi elements, as well as a bit of romance when the situation calls for it and when it builds naturally. I do not roleplay anime, please don't ask, and I rarely roleplay fandoms.

I am currently on summer break after finishing grad school and getting my teaching credential. I just got hired for my first teaching job, which begins in early August. Currently I have a lot of free time. I'm not looking for a lot, but maybe 1 or 2 fun plots and partners to write with. I have more time in the evening, and I'm on the U.S. west coast. When my job starts I will be busy, and likely post more on weekends than weekdays. If you're going to be gone or unable to post for a number of days I'd appreciate a warning. I will do the same for you.

I can do MxF or FxF romances but I don't do smut or other sexual themes. I'm asexual and they make me uncomfortable. Sorry. I don't mind naturally developed romance, as well as platonic adventures~

Some things I would be interested in (# indicates craving, * indicates a plot idea, strikethrough indicates closed):

- Assassin x Target* (I have a plot in mind for doubling.)
- Time travel (It can be sci-fi or something more mystical, like Outlander. I have this idea about a young woman who moves into an old Victorian house and begins to experience episodes where she inexplicably disappears into the past when the house was new and develops relationships there.)
- A situation based on The Prince and the Pauper#* (It would be a princess and a female pauper who are identical strangers that have a chance meeting and decide to swap places [or it happens by accident?]. We would be doubling ideally and I will love you if you do this with me.)
- Urban fantasy/supernatural#* (Urban fantasy is one of my favorite genres and I'm dying to RP it. I love the idea of a supernatural/paranormal world existing in a modern city, unseen by humans and I have some ideas for plots and characters.)
- Witch/wizard x Skeptic (Ideally would take place in an urban fantasy setting.)
- The Holiday#* (An idea based on the film with Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet. We would double at the ladies who switch houses and the significant others they meet on their holidays.)
- Stardust# (Another idea based on a movie. The characters would be the fallen star and the person who finds her. This would be fantasy, either modern or set in an older time like in the movie.)
- An Indiana Jones or The Mummy styled action/adventure
- Twisted fairy tales# (I have an idea that's kind of like a reverse of the movie Enchanted.)
- Superhero/superhuman x Civilian
- Royalty/Nobility x Commoner* (This would be modern, and I have a starting point.)
- Something featuring fairies (Changlings? Human who can see the fae? Human getting spirited away to fairy world? Fairy courts? I'm game.)
- Something with mermaids/mermen/merpeople

Fandoms you could maybe talk me into (using original characters in the established world) include:

Star Wars (I love it, but I am by no means an expert)
Harry Potter
Doctor Who (although I don't really watch the show anymore)

I would like detailed, creative posts with good grammar (although I understand that typos, of course, happen to everyone). Quality over quantity, always, and I typically try to match my partners in length. I don't always need a novel, and if the best you can give me is a few well written paragraphs than that's perfectly okay with me. I might ask for a post sample from you, and if you'd like one from me, as well, then I'll gladly send you one.

If you have ideas you think I would like feel free to share, or if you have any input to the ideas I've already suggested please tell me. I like to plot with my partners and form stories together.

Please PM me. I will rarely look back at this thread and PMing is the best way to get my attention~
Well I gave her a minor in art history so I'd say art theft/forgeries/anything to do with art. This could include jewels, old documents, that kind of stuff, too, I suppose.
This weekend I'll have time to write you a post~

Aggie came out from behind the counter as Dahlia made her way to the door. She smiled as the woman left, calling out, "See you soon, Dahl," before the door clicked shut and she was left alone with Cameron Rogers. And whatever trouble he had brought with him today. He smiled at her, and it was soft and handsome and she politely returned it before making her way to the table recently vacated by her elderly customers. Aggie was carefully collecting the china plates and teacups on a tray when he commented on the business and she nodded. "It's going great on both sides." She wasn't raised to be rude, so she bit back inquiring about the real reason be was there. She didn't have to wait for long. The recent and mysterious deaths. They had been all over the news and the gossip, both supernatural and mundane. They baffled everyone. Were they murders? Or freak medical conditions? Those were what the humans were asking. Meanwhile the supernatural scene was asking the real question. What kind of bump in the night was doing this? "I've heard rumors," Aggie said carefully, and he launched into more details, laying a case file on her counter. Aggie watched him as he spoke, listening intently. The council he was working for couldn't get to the bottom of these deaths, so he had come to her for help, as he always did. For some reason he saw her as an invaluable source of information and consultant, an honor she could live without. He mentioned that he couldn't get any meetings with any of the local vampire elders and she closed her eyes briefly as she set the tray on the counter by the file. His hybrid nature made him something of an anomaly among the general supernatural community, and an outcast among the weres and the vamps. Meanwhile Aggie was well known and well liked and had friends everywhere, including contacts in most of the major vampire families. Particularly the Moreaus. She opened her eyes and looked at Cameron for a few moments, her green eyes studying his face carefully. Then she moved around the counter and over to the door, where she turned the sign from OPEN to CLOSED. She often did this when Cam visited. "I don't suppose," Aggie began as she turned to face Cam again, "that my usual 'I can't help I'm just a tea shop owner' isn't going to work this time, is it?" It never usually did. The witch let out a frustrated sigh as she moved back to the counter and leaned against it. Her hand was inches from the file, which she desperately didn't want to touch. She did not want to get involved in things like this, she never had. But Cameron Rogers somehow had always gotten her to. "You'll learn to take no for an answer someday, Cam," Aggie mused as she opened the file. "Or you'll find another witch. Either way my life will be easier." She glanced down at the fie. "What exactly do you think I can do to help you?"
It's all good. Hope to get something up by tomorrow. :)
