Sounds good to me :) Yeah they're hair can be long enough to cover it when they're out of the water from the waist up.

Like this maybe

Both pics are fine, though on the top one idk how I feel about the thing along the back of the tail? Which is why I like the second pic (I also like the color of the tail on the second pic). But I can be swayed either way.

I don't mind if we give them tops or not. They're just going to be looking at each other topless and get used to it ha.
I really like the bottom one :) With tops the same color. And yeah I think they should look the same. Since they're like a pod~
Emma formerly introduced herself and Clara nodded. She knew that, of course, but saying so would sound a bit creepy despite the fact that Emma and her friends were the most well known girls in school. "Nice to meet you," was what she said in response as the floated near each other for a moment, and the other girl agreed that they should watch the shower from the water. They shared a smile and it was almost what making friends felt like. Then Emma flipped over and dove down into the pool, the water splashing Clara a bit, and it made her laugh.

She finally resurfaced again and Clara shook her head slightly at her impulsiveness before settling on her back again to watch the sky as midnight struck and the full white moon hung directly above the pool, casting pale moonlight down onto the blue water. And things immediately went weird. The water had already been warm, but Clara felt it's temperature rising on her skin. Despite the warming water she got a chill inside of her and she stopped floating on her back to tread the water uneasily. Then the water erupted with bubbles, as though the water were being boiled. Clara spun around, her heart pounding, and she heard Emma call out her name in a panicked tone. "Emma!" She didn't know what else to say, what else to do. What was happening?

Before she could process any more thoughts the water was starting to shimmer, and soon she was surrounded and blinded by bright blue light that made her cry out in surprise and squeeze her eyes shut. And then it was gone. She opened one green eye warily to see the water as smooth and normal as it had been moments ago. Clara opened both of her eyes as she turned on the spot, scanning the entire pool before meeting gazes with Emma, who looked just as spooked as she felt. The other girl asked what had happened and Clara shook her head slowly. "The hell if I know." She looked around the pool again, uncomfortable and desiring nothing more than to get out. Emma expressed the desire and Clara nodded in enthusiastic agreement.

The swam to the edge of the pool and Clara pulled herself out onto the firm, sandy floor. She was immediately greeted with the cool, coastal air and she shivered as she wrapped her arms around herself. This was stupid, this had been a stupid decision. Not only was she now freezing, but whatever had just happened to them in the pool had...happened. She looked back at the pool, still beautiful but now eerily so, before reaching down to her bag and pulling her blanket out and wrapping it around her slender frame. It wasn't a towel but it was better than nothing. Water dripped from the end of her long ponytail and ran down her back, making her shiver even more. "Let's...never mention that, whatever just happened in there, to anyone," Clara suggested to Emma through slightly chattering teeth, though it probably didn't need to be said. "It's just...too creepy. I don't want to think about it."
Should we coordinate a color for their tails or are we each going to do our own color thing? I'm fine either way. I suppose we should keep it PG and give them little tops in their mermaid form, too.
Do you think the moon and pool's effect on them should be instantaneous or should they not transform until the next day?
Sam's eyes were closed as her head rested against him, and she held to his shoulder as much as she was able to in order to ease some of the burden on his arms as he carried her. She still felt very weak though. She didn't really understand why if she had just been sleepwalking. This type of exhaustion was so much more than mere sleepiness. But it hurt her brain to think about it in this state.

She smiled at the jibe about her heaviness. "Don't be a baby. Plus flattery gets you everywhere. At least in my world it does. And...isn't it impolite to mention someone's weight? Tsk tsk, Marshal." He mentioned he couldn't see where he was going, and she peered up at him through half lidded eyes. "Is it too dark?"

Voices spoke, familiar ones, and Sam turned her head as much as she was able to see Coralie behind August with a blade held to his back, while Alphonse and Florian appeared, as well. If she hadn't been so unspeakably weak she would have shown more excitement and relief that the dwarves were alright and hadn't been killed by the Shades. All she could do was smile tiredly, which widened a bit at August's grown although she tried to hide it.

Alphonse addressed her, asking if she was alright and what had happened. She turned to look at him and smiled. "I'm fine," she said in an attempt to reassure them. "Really. He didn't do anything to me, Florian. Honestly. The Marshal's helping me, alright? I was sleepwalking, I think, and he came to get me before I ran into another Jockal or something. We're going back to the camp. To Prince Liam's camp. Where Dorothea is." Sam looked at the three of them, blinking her eyes as she struggled to remain conscious. She had to make sure the dwarves and August didn't kill one another. "Believe me. I'm alright. Just tired...so tired. Too tired to walk. Do you think you could lead us back to camp? Not that I'm uncomfortable or anything, but apparently I'm too heavy for him." She glanced up at August, teasing and smiling.
The water, the beautiful clear blue of it, was pulling at Clara much like it was at Emma. The ripples seemed to be beckoning to her, inviting her to just let go and jump in like she really wanted to, reminding her that she loved swimming and the one solace she found in moving was that her new home was on the coast. She wanted to jump in, despite her reserved words. They did have time to kill, after all. A whole hour to work on the charts before the shower. Clara wanted to say yes when Emma asked if she was up for a midnight swim, but she remained silent, biting her lip uncertainly.

She watched as Emma stripped down to her bra and panties, and was surprisingly fine. It happened all the time in the locker room at school, and if she could do it in front of a bunch of girls in there then she could do it in front of one girl out here. It was basically just like wearing a bikini, like Emma said. The other girl jumped in, making a splash as she hit the water and submerged. A few moments later she broke the surface and was laughing. The plashing and the laughter seemed to strengthen water's own call on Clara and she swallowed as she could feel herself caving in to her desire. Chicago Clara certainly would have done it. Why shouldn't Waverly Clara?

She made a face when Emma called her "new girl," and crossed her arms over her chest. "Clara. My name is Clara, alright? Jeeze..." For a few seconds she stared back at Emma and then back at the rippling surface of the blue water. And then she wasn't able to contain herself any more. Clara let out an exasperated sigh as she pulled her sweater off and let it fall to the floor. "Fine. Fine, you win." Was she talking to Emma or the pool? Clara pulled the white t-shirt over her head and dropped it before peeling herself out of her jeans. For a few seconds she shivered as she moved to the edge of the pool, wearing nothing but the purple bra and panties, then she dove in with a couple of minutes to spare before midnight.

It was...warm. She had been so sure it would be as cool as the air outside, but the water felt comforting on her skin and seemed to fill her with warmth all the way to her core. She broke the surface, a smile on her face as she looked at the other girl. "Wow," she breathed, spinning in a circle as she laughed herself. "Okay, you were right. This feels amazing..." All of her previous reservations forgotten, Clara let out a contented sigh as she floated on her back and stared up at the sky. The stars were bright while the moon was full and was inching across the sky. Soon it would be shining down right over them. "Maybe we should watch the shower like this," she suggested to Emma, turning her head slightly to look and smile at the girl beside her.
