It is said, that wars are only won upon the anvil of honour. Others believe victory requires strategy and a mastery of power. War is deception, a game played best from afar. Only strength and power can achieve true domination! But of course, you could forget all of that and just have fun!
_____________________________________________________________________________________ Hello, all RPers! I give you a fresh idea off the stove of thoughts; a roleplay based on the popular card game, Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft. The idea is simple and inspired by the Yu-Gi-Oh roleplays out there. A group of Hearthstone players are thrown together by unexpected events, form friendships and their goal is up to them! Do you want to become all-powerful, deceiving your foes to victory? Or do you want to destroy your personal enemies via the card game? Do you simply want to fulfill your destiny and become the greatest Hearthstone player to ever live? The roleplay will mostly be out of the card game, but it gravitates around it. There are multiple different championships on the four continents and the card game is mostly played by everyone. The two greatest championships, however, is the Llane Tournament in Stormwind City, Eastern Kingdoms. The other tournament is the Grommash Tournament, named after the heroic Horde figure Grommash Hellscream, in Ogrimmar. This is where the best of the best compete for one goal; the Hearthstone trophy, which is told to give its user unlimited power. Some of the more important games might be played out on the actual Free-to-Play Hearthstone game, but that would lead to the problem of decks. A lot of the playerbase do not have many legendaries, but our characters might have loads. I believe this is an issue we can talk about and find the best way to fully realise this idea. Any race in Azeroth will work as a character, as long as they aren't an already-existing one. Apart from that, feel free to go wherever you please! If you want to read up on Warcraft lore so you don't mess something up, the best place to check out is http://www.wowwiki.com/Portal:Main Lok'tar Ogar, RPers!
Great! I'm not too good at making RPs, but I'll give it my best. I know most of my Warcraft lore (even though I don't play WoW) so expect the thread up sometime later today!
I have yet to find out how many people on this website play Hearthstone, but I definitely do. It's one of my most enjoyed games and I recently heard the idea of a kind of Hearthstone anime on the /r/Hearthstone sub, so the idea has been floating in my head for a while now. So, while looking for a Warcraft-themed RP I found no such answers but I did see a high amount of Yu-Gi-Oh RPs. At this point an idea dawned on me. Imagine a role play where you are a character in Azeroth (Orc, Blood Elves, Humans, etc.) and you are an avid Hearthstone player. It is suggested through the card game that this is supposed to be a very popular game in the Warcraft universe, so all of this can be canon, but for the sake of character interaction we can move the time ahead a few hundred years, killing off the already existing "heroes" (Thrall, Jaina) so they can become more of a legend than a real person. There could be real tournaments which affect the RP as well, all on the game, making it even more real. I really like the idea and I hope I'm not the only one. Who else would find this appealing if done well?
Very interested!

Literally no one. Am I secretly hated?
Anyone going to apply for this?
The air was cold and the metal of the ship walls were as flat as salt lake beds, giving the ship an unusual symmetry that had never been seen before by any Marines for the UNSC. There stood a neat oval shaped casket, lined with a titanium alloy which could probably survive all kinds of punishment. On top of it was a holographic projector, which showed the city outline for New Addis Ababa, in ruin from the Covenant Onslaught. There were no windows, and four corridors connected in to this room with just enough space to hold 20 Orbital Drop Shock Troopers. Lining the east and west walls were the entrances to the drop pods, which would send these brave soldiers straight into hell. There weren't 20 ODSTS, though. There were only a handful, even less than that number. These were the best the UNSC could offer to this region, and that was an overstatement. Casualties had reached a breaking point and humanity could only sustain only so many soldiers, and since the Covenant were now glassing Lennon 5, there would be little time to get in there, find the so called "artifact" and make their way out. Sadly, this would only be the beginning of the end for these soldiers, and this piece of technology they would find down in the mines of New Addis Ababa would only kill them all in the end.

Hello, and this is a Halo RP if you haven't guessed. I haven't seen many around so this is one. Here we go.

It's set on the fictional world of Lennon 5, in the fictional city of New Addis Ababa. Everything that goes on can break canon, so don't worry about that. I plan to create an interesting story arc with a Forerunner Artifact, but I can't tell you more than that.

Rules
Standard stuff. No Metagaming, no Mary Sues and definitely don't pretend you're a Spartan.

Expect a CS from me soon, I started a SOC RP up a while ago but I had to discontinue it since other things came up. I'm back in the mood for some RPing though, so I'm looking forward to see where this takes us.
While spotting the light in the corner of the room, he realised he had his back turned. What a stupid move he was making. He had to amend it. Spinning around, he saw where his opponent had gone, and swiftly leaped backwards, but knocked himself into the table. Wincing, Willem turned to his right and saw a candle perfectly lit on top of the counter.
