How will you be balancing the skills in this roleplay? In my experience with Elder Scrolls RPs, without some system for what skills your characters has, some characters might become "overskilled" and severely imbalance the roleplay, like being a master of destruction spells and a master of hand to hand. Not like some ruleset with numerical stats or anything, but sort of like selecting major and minor skills for a custom class like in the games.A good friend of mine named Dervish (who is the bomb dot com when it comes to Elder Scrolls RPs in my opinion) came up with a skill system that we can use, and I don't mind explaining it if you're interested.

Feel free to post it and I'll see what I think. I don't plan on doing anything tabletop-like, with specific numbers or formulas, but I do plan on putting something akin to "major skills" in the CS. I'll probably be making the OOC later today.
Yarsin's skycar hovered into view over the plaza, then slowly lowered itself to the ground. The door lifted up and Kerr'Shal climbed out, surveying the scene. This was a shipwreck alright; it was even better than he had expected. Not even a few hours into this job and there were already injuries and name-calling. The quarian was looking forward to the stories he'd be able to tell a few months from now: "Truthfully, I was there when the Huntress met her match. Aria's Fist was already incapacitated, having caught a sniper's bullet with her shoulder. That was when the krogan intervened, and then...."

Kerr'Shal had heard Raze's speech over the comms while he flew in, chewing out everyone else and calling him a "fuck-head Quarian." Mildly amusing. He had set his omni-tool to record the spiel, there would be demand for proof that he had really worked with these people, after all. It was ironic, the krogan was telling them to pick a leader when he clearly thought that he himself was most qualified for that job. Kerr'Shal considered the women's actions to be perfectly logical, himself. With Yarsin dead that sniper had been their only living lead--as far as they knew the whole job was a bust now. Maybe if they had formulated a better plan than "sit in the balcony and wait for something to go wrong," Kali and Alexa's actions could be considered rash.

None of these thoughts would be shared, of course. Arguing was a waste of time, especially where krogan were concerned.

"Well, what will it be? Do we stay here and choose a leader, or send this one to the hospital?" Kerr'Shal asked, motioning towards Alexa. "Perhaps we can hold a vote en route to a hospital?" he added dryly.
Yea my post ended with Kerr'Shal running away, but Micheal is talking like he's still standing around, not sure what's going on there. I'll just assume they're talking over radio when I post again, I guess.
For simplicity's sake I'm going to assume that the Dragonborn just did Skyrim's "main questline," and saved everyone from Alduin, then left without doing much else. So none of the other questlines that you can complete in the game happened in this setting; the Dark Brotherhood is still operating in the Falkreath sanctuary, Ancano is still just passively spying on the Mages Guild, etc.

I'm posting this in response to the ES RP that was proposed a few days ago, which many people were interested in. However, the guy who was going to GM disappeared from the face of the earth, so I'll just try and run an ES RP of my own instead. This would be set shortly after the events of Skyrim, and would focus initially on the Skyrim Civil War between the Stormcloaks and Imperials. People would be free to submit characters as either loyal soldiers of one of the armies, or as a freelance mercenary hired by one of them, since Skyrim makes it obvious that both sides will take pretty much anyone willing to fight for them. I won't require you to PM characters to me and I won't limit the RP to 6 players or some other arbitrary number.

If there's enough interest I'll make an OOC topic for people to sign up in, either today or tomorrow.
Interest for an ES RP seems high, that's great.

I don't know if it would be exactly the same premise, but similar. I would also want to do a post-Skyrim RP. You could probably send me the same sheets, but if I make an RP of my own, I doubt I would require people to PM me the signups.
Looks like he didn't end up having time for this. If he doesn't reappear in a couple of days I might make a similar RP of my own, since I've been wanting to do a Elder Scrolls RP for a while now.
To be fair, charging straight at people is pretty much the whole MO for vanguards.
Sorry about the wait, sometimes I don't have computer access for a while. But with 6 people I figure the RP can afford to move forward without 1 or 2 posters as necessary. Don't feel like you need to hold things up on my account, if I don't post, just assume Kerr'Shal is following whatever the plan is and watching the others' backs.
