He looks fine to me. Go ahead and add him to the characters tab, and I'll do my best to bring him in. Like Hat Kid, however, it will have to be after the miniboss.
Awesome, thank you! I'll be looking forward to it.
Personality: Henry is, to put it lightly, absolutely psychotic. But at least he’s a psychopath with a cheery personality. A dark mage with little to no morals is a volatile force indeed and usually meant to be avoided and the constant smile on his face makes it all the more creepy when combined with his love of violence.
Henry’s amorality is extremely prevalent to those who have been around him enough. He has done things such as extending a war by informing someone of an assassination plot so as not to “waste a perfectly fun war.” And is certainly not past him to throw away the life of innocents for victory in war. Though he has been seen protecting innocents under the orders of the tactician of his army, even at a tactical disadvantage. Even with his willingness to follow orders he has expressed his desire to rebel, and even kill, against his superiors if given a ‘stupid’ order such as not being allowed to kill.
Despite his tendency to violence and love of death, Henry is a surprisingly caring person when he finds people he actually cares about and will do anything to make them happy. He will even go as far as to curse people to death (which isn’t that far for him) for the sake of his loved ones.
Henry is quite the jokester, often making puns or macabre jokes. Laughing quite often in dangerous situations and ignoring the gravity of situations completely. This could be attributed to how slow he is to feel pain and how much he seems to ignore it despite disliking it. He also lacks a fear of death at all which can make him even more dangerous in a fight.
Henry also has a soft spot for animals and animals often love him in return. Being especially close to a wolf at one point and usually having a flock of crows surrounding him.
Despite his violent personality and a love of blood and gore, it is hard to call Henry inherently “evil.” It seems to be more a lack of morals and difficulty telling what’s right and wrong.
Background: In the continent of Ylisse, there were three countries. Regna Ferox, a country that values strength so much that they hold tournaments to decide who will rule. The Halidom of Ylisse, a peaceful nation ruled by a benevolent Exalt. And finally the theocracy of Plegia, an aggressive nation that largely worships the Fell Dragon Grima. Henry was a dark mage who belonged to Plegia. When he was a small child Henry’s parents wanted nothing to do with him and abandoned him at a magic school in the country. The school was an awful place full of pain for Henry, he even described a spiked room he would be stuck into if he acted up and how he almost died.
When he was still a child Henry grew particularly fond of a wolf whom he would play with. This happy relationship ended abruptly when the creature tried to visit him at the village he lived in and the villagers killed the poor wolf. Henry found the animal dead and surrounded by villagers causing Henry to snap and slaughter the entire village.
Over the years and after his schooling Henry became one of the most powerful dark mages in all of Plegia and earned himself quite the reputation. Though he had no loyalty to his country shortly before the current war between Plegia and Ylisse ended and he ended up secluding himself in a place called Carrion Isle. Two years after the war was finished it was there that he was recruited by the tactician Robin and Prince Chrom of the Halidom of Ylisse when an army of zombies called Risen attacked the group. After assisting the group Henry followed along and helped in their endeavors to fight a war threatening the entire continent.
Shortly after the Halidom had finished fighting against another continent known as Valm, the nation of Plegia attacked again. Their new leader, a sorcerer named Validar, was attempting to resurrect the Fell Dragon itself using the body of Robin as its vessel. With the dark dragon Grima brought back to life the army did what they had to do, and through the blessing of the goddess Naga and the bonds of friendship formed the powerful evil was vanquished. Or at least, that’s how the story would go if it were not for Galeem’s all consuming light.
Specialty: Damage-focused mage
Level: 1
Experience: 0/10
Powers: Ruin- A type of dark magic that is somewhat inaccurate but with a higher rate of dealing more damage than normal.
Strengths: Pain Tolerance- Due to his constant dealing with pain he has built up the ability to deal with it very well and slow to realize it in the first place. Without him really worrying about pain he is able to fight well even while injured. “Oh, NICE! I'm still bleeding in, like, twelve different places! Look at all that blood...” Health and Defense- For a magic user he has a surprising amount of health and physical defense (a 95% chance to get health on level up in game and 50% for defense with a naturally high amount in those stats from the beginning) though he can hardly be considered a tank.
Weaknesses: Magic Resistance- Despite his high physical defense he has very low resistance and is thus very weak to magical attacks. Lack of Pain- a downside to his ignoring of pain is that he is less likely to seek help if injured and continue fighting even if he shouldn’t. Child-like demeanor- Even with his violence his personality is almost innocent, for lack of a better word. This can make him easily manipulated if you play to his likes.
Spirits: "Not unless you count ghosts of people I killed, haha!"
Kindred Spirits: Grima (Fire Emblem: Awakening)- The Fell Dragon itself… sort of. This variation of Grima is the spirit of the dragon in its hosts body which is a version of Robin. While stuck in a mortal body Grima can only harness a fraction of its powers. Despite them never meeting personally Henry’s attachment to its host helps make this interesting duo possible
Knoll (Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones)- Another dark mage like Henry but from another world. He is kinder than Henry and possesses much knowledge on the dark arts that Henry practices.
Cheshire Cat (Alice Mare)- A demon of sorts, as he describes himself. An odd choice for sure, but this cats trickster personality and constant smile make these two one in the same.
And there is my lovably violent dark mage completed. For his powers I decided to start out with the tome he has when you get him in game and have him get more powerful ones later on since I wasn't sure if I should do that or just have his magical powers as one power. Just let me know if I need to change that or anything else! @Lugubrious
So Izzy was actually an AI huh? He had a suspicion that something was up with her for quite awhile, but he never would have guessed this. Her lack of an astral form was a very big indication. Though when Avicus tried to press the issue previously she denied everything. He realizes why though. Saeder-Krupp is a big deal. The only thing that really pissed him off about this whole ordeal, however, was the reaction of Stephanie.
“Can you just calm down already? I get it, I’m shocked too. Freaking out won’t help anybody though. We’ve all been here enough and worked with both Vanessa and Izzy enough for them to deserve our trust.” Avicus nodded toward Izzy and smiled. “You have my support. I’ve already risked my life in this job enough, I don’t mind doing it again. Besides, I can definitely say this is the most interesting job I’ve ever taken. My one complaint… why am I paired with her?” From his reaction and the fact that he gestured to her, it was painfully obvious he was referring to Tallulah.
Navarre makes way too much of an effort to keep a mysterious aura around him. In truth he is extremely awkward and dorky, but extremely over the top. When it comes to fights is when his personality begins to shine. He tries to show off in an almost theatrical manner and loves naming his maneuvers.
Since events where he dealt with his fathers killer, a villain named Edmond who goes by the alias Phantogram, his personality began to take a darker turn. Phantogram’s illusionary powers put him through mental torture involving reliving the scene of his fathers death repeatedly. Combined with the belief that all of his friends were dead has a negative effect on his mental state. He has a much less happy view on the world and his little acting occurs much less often.
Quirk: Full Arsenal:
This Quirk is named for the fact that it gives Navarre the ability to create weapons. These weapons are limited to things he can hold in his hands and he is unable to create any kind of gun. His favorites tends to the bow and arrow as well as the sword.
One of the advancements that he has made is being able to augment his weapons in certain ways. Somewhat like enchantments in RPGs. He is able to give elemental effects to his weapons such as electricity, fire, wind, ice, and light and manipulate them in the slightest capacity. Electricity, fire and ice increase the range of weapons such as swords and allow him to damage foes from more of a range. Wind causes a blast of air originating from wherever the weapon hits. His most common use is imbuing this effect onto an arrow and causing it to push away enemies near where it hits, allowing him to create more range. Finally, light creates flashes of light from where the weapon hits. This too is usually combined with arrows to create a flashbang effect.
Quirk Flaws (Are permanent and cannot be bypassed):
His Quirk in no way augments his physical strength, so he has to be able to use the weapons he creates to get any use out of them.
One of the biggest flaws for his quirks new power is that it is very obvious from visual effects to the weapons he creates what kind of element he is using, meaning he can be predictable based on which element he’s using in combat. Another flaw is that it is impossible to put two elements on one weapon.
Quirk Limitations (That can be worked on and improved):
As he trains to be able to use the weapons as well as his body to be better suited in combat his Quirk will become more useful to him.
The reason they want to be a hero:
To simply put it, he wants to live up to the legacy he has set for himself in his overactive imagination. He wants to be the hero he dreamed of as a child.
Backstory:
Surprisingly, his backstory is nowhere near exciting as he plays it up to be. He grew up in a small town with an incredible admiration for heroes. Especially his father, a local hero who wasn’t very well known outside their town. Though he was killed during a fight against a villain named Phantogram, but not before taking the villains left eye. For that offense against him Phantogram targeted Navarre next. Causing small emotional torments such as headaches and minor hallucinations. Preparing for the day that Navarre would pose an actual challenge.
After his father’s death, Navarre started to adopt his theatrical personality as a way of coping with and hiding his emotions. This was of course was met with distaste from his classmates and peers and led them to ridicule the boy, and for him to continue his theatrics to hide that it bothered him. This started an endless cycle that made him to constantly keep up that personality until even he believed it. Him refusing to bend to the bullying as well as the revelation of his quirk, Full Arsenal, put an almost instant stop to the bullying. He used this now important part of his person as motivation to become an amazing hero that he dreamed of being.
Likes:
Being noticed, creating names, theatre
Dislikes:
Being ignored, when his theatrics are questioned (he gets awkward), horrible smells (he has a weak stomach), haircuts
Skills:
In addition to his extensive self training with a bow, as well as being self taught and mediocre in many other weapons, he has had some formal training with the sword. Relying often on a style of fighting called Iaijutsu. A style that focuses on attacks from the sheath of the sword and countering. Unfortunately as it is not a very dynamic style he can’t rely on this in the more chaotic battles it is certainly a useful fighting method for him.
Avicus had been one of the first few to arrive in their meeting room, posing as a live in patient had its perks it seems. Other than his almost daily interactions with a certain mage in the party. It was perfect otherwise since his vampiric nature didn’t allow him to go out too much usually. He watched as some of the others began to join in and Vanessa gathered their attention. The mission details were barely there and he certainly didn’t like the idea of working for a dragon like Lofwyr, but there was something that certainly interested him.
“A possibility of a dragon, you say? That’s… interesting.” A cocky grin spread across his face. The chance of fighting a dragon excited Avicus, but it also terrified him. There was always the looming threat of death but on this run more so than ever. He wasn’t going to let his team see him afraid though.
The crew began to discuss a plan. Avicus thought Degen was on the right track with taking everyone out, but the rest of the group seemed to disagree. The Shaman, Joe, who Avicus was barely alright with in regards to magic users, suggested that as a plan B. And the blasted mage wanted to dismiss the idea of killing all together.
“Let’s be real here, there is no way we are going to get out of that place without shedding blood. Incapacitating them means they will only be a problem to us later. If we take them out then and there, we’ll have less of a problem if they decide to hunt us down after this mission is over with.” The vampire dealt with enough people with nasty grudges to know it’s not a great idea to leave your enemies alive. “We aren’t going to be going in guns blazing of course but don’t be surprised if there’s any bloodshed. Besides, there always seems to be blood wherever I go.” It had been a little while since the last time he had ‘eaten.’ He was getting quite hungry.
These are the clothes and mask he wears most of the time outside and always on runs. It helps deal with his inability to be in the sun.
Name:
Avicus “Poltergeist” Antema
Race:
Vampire (Formerly human)
Age:
29 (appears 24)
Gender:
Male
Archetype:
Adept/Shaman
Equipment:
Avicus’ main form of combat is his steel sword that he named Raven’s Edge, the size of which is about 40 cm.
In case of emergencies, he also has a small pistol, the Streetline Special, stashed in a small compartment in his cybernetic arm. The gun is small and very light so it doesn’t pack that much firepower but the size and convenience make up for that. Surprisingly, this tiny gun has a magazine of 6 bullets.
Arguably one of his more important items is the gas mask that covers his face. It works like a normal gas mask should and has tinted lenses and works more as a mask to protect his face from sunlight than as an actual gas mask.
Cybernetics:
His entire right arm has been replaced by a cybernetic one developed by Ares. This arm has a blade inside of it that ejects from the top of the arm, a little bit behind the wrist. This arm is extremely useful by allowing him more combat options when fighting in the sunlight.
Abilities, spells, etc.:
Powerblade and Manablade - Spells that Avicus uses to enhance the two blades he already uses rather than create blades. In the variation the magical part of the blade extends past the normal one by several inches as well as enhances the power behind his attacks. Powerblade is the physical version with Manablade being the magical variation.
Mana Static - Avicus creates an effect that stops magic in an area around, including for the caster themself. His most common use for this spell is to stop the spells of foes who primarily rely on their magic in combat, allowing Avicus to get the upperhand in a battle.
Chaos - Produces a storm of conflicting sensations and images to confuse the senses. Chaos also has the capability to affect technology.
Catfall - Gives Avicus the ability to slow down the fall of himself or a target to avoid getting injured from a fall.
Astral Perception and Projection - Astral Perception allows the user to not only look into the Astral realm, but also become “dual natured” meaning that Avicus is present in both the Astral and Physical plane. Astral Projection allows him to project his Astral self and move outside of his own body, although his Astral body is unable to interact with the physical realm.
Unique skill:
Disrupt - The spell given to him by his totem, the Adversary. This spell does as its name implies and disrupts the mana in a spell. This causes the spell to react unpredictably and a random effect ensues.
Vampiric abilities - In addition to the magic and swordsmanship that Avicus has at his disposal, he also has powers from his vampiric infection. These include enhanced senses, immunity to age, poison and disease, regeneration and the ability to transform into a black mist. These abilities come with some substantial weaknesses. This includes an “allergy” to sunlight where he can not go into the sun at all, a severe weakness to wood and silver as well as a severe aversion to garlic. He also suffers from chronic essence lost which can only be fixed by draining the life essence of other beings through their blood. Those who survive the draining of blood are often infected by the same virus as the vampire and become one as well. Vampires also cannot eat regular food as they become sick within the hour and the effect is increased with alcohol. Finally, a vampire goes into Induced Dormancy if cut off from air, causing them to sleep indefinitely until exposed to air again where they wake up within a minute.
Personality:
After his transformation into a vampire, Avicus started to become more cold and distant. Embracing his killer instinct. And has developed an intense hatred of mages due to the atrocities that have been committed against him. Though joining up with the rest of the group and breaking his isolation, there was a slow return to his old personality. His cocky side has begun to show itself more often, he is overconfident in his own skills and fighting ability. Though he has his reasons to be with the experiences he had. Back in his days leading a gang, Avicus picked up an odd habit of overdramatizing his abilities. He was known for his showmanship before defeating his opponents. Fortunately this habit has died down for the most part, though it still shines through occasionally. The thing that has remained through the years is his sense of loyalty to those he runs with, and always repays a debt. He will stay by the side of those in this group even if one or two of them is a mage, however reluctantly.
Bio:
Originally born in America, Avicus Antema grew up living a fairly simple life with his parents. That is until he discovered his totem spirit, the Adversary, at the age of 14. Or as many people refer to this spirit, Satan. Having the embodiment of chaos as your mentor spirit isn’t good for your reputation and this disconnect from the people of his community are what led to his descent into the criminal underworld. Apparently having a totem that symbolizes rebellion is a great way to earn street cred and instill fear in the hearts of those who don’t quite understand the extent of its power. Avicus used this to his advantage in the way of commanding respect from others through intimidation. After a few years of living as a criminal Avicus was the leader of his own gang, the Nightingales they called themselves, and was something of a local legend under the nickname Saber. With his custom-made sword that he affectionately named the Raven’s Edge and the power of the Adversary which he played up almost theatrically he was a force to be reckoned with.
After spending several years of his life as a street thug, Avicus had his life change almost in an instant at the age of 24. It was supposed to be simple, Avicus and four of his best men were going to capture a supply shipment. Very few guards, very little equipment. It should’ve been a walk in the park. What the crew didn’t account for was a little interference from Aztechnology. Blood mages were not something that the Nightingales were prepared for and before long every single one of them fell. The only survivor, even if just barely, was Avicus. The next month of Avicus’ life was spent held captive by blood mages having his blood extracted to be used as a source of mana by Aztechnology blood mages and being used for the occasional experiment. One such experiment involved the Human Meta-Human Vampiric Virus, or the HMHVV, which transformed Avicus into the creature of the night that he now is. Those blood mages were hoping for the perfect opportunity to study a Vampire up close but let’s just say that Avicus used his powers to take the ‘blood’ out of ‘blood mage.’
Avicus escaped from his imprisonment but his life could never be the same again. He discovered that the Nightingales were overthrown without him, he knew he had no family who would accept him in this state. He had no one. The only thing he did have was a grudge against mages. This is what led him to his next stage in life as an assassin. Taking down targets not for money, but for vengeance. People working for Aztechnology, magic users who used magic for their corrupt desires, all his targets were claimed by the shadows. And by taking out those in positions of power Avicus managed to appease his totem spirit by causing chaos so it was a win win.
3 years into the assassin gig Avicus had a somewhat sudden change of pace after a mission gone wrong. Someone managed to track down the shadow that was Avicus, and use his secrets to their advantage. The target was on the ground, the tip of a blade to her throat. A smirk spread across her face. With the snap of her fingers a bright light shone across the entire room, a UV light. Avicus barely escaped with his life, let alone his arm which hung limply from his body, burned and mangled from the light. He managed to pull himself into a back alley before passing out. No one is sure how long he stayed there till he was found, but the woman who discovered his unconscious body was none other than Vanessa. Owner of a cybernetics clinic and Fixer for a group of Shadowrunners. She drug him back to her clinic and replaced the mangled right arm with a cybernetic one that she had on hand. She essentially saved his life, and for this Avicus was grateful. He wanted to repay her kindness in some way and thus, he was indoctrinated into a group of Shadowrunners.

Sorry for taking such a long time in getting this up but the Adept is finally here.
