@BurningCold Her actions are very threatening, taking a hostage and alienating the only Dragon Riders free from Galbatorix (that they know of). Endangering an unborn dragon is going to alienate literally everyone. Galbatorix wants them, the Elves want them, the Varden want them, everyone wants the Riders back (admittedly for different reasons).

Edit, tagged the wrong person, sorry BC. Meant @ViolentViolet.
@Mr_pink@TheUnknowable Posty posty?
@ViolentViolet that is the plan I believe, De and Alph. De will forge and Alph will magic em.
Galen Derricson

Gale scooped up the satchel he'd found and slung it over his shoulder, shoving the unbound journal he'd found inside. He saw the exact moment Zyloria's eyes found the eggs and the hatchlings and knew they were screwed. Gren's words, while inappropriate, were true. Mostly. "Right, no one's killing anyone," he cut in nervously. But could they trust her? Eyeing her up for a moment, Galen decided no, he didn't trust her, not enough to leave her behind. "You shouldn't have come," he decided, his frustration rising. This moment where they became legends, Dragon Riders, and gained life-long companions, was ruined from the start, but being discovered so soon? There was little to enjoy, they would be hunted, but now their head start was being threatened. "You should really come with us," he insisted, stepping closer to her, his eyes pleading. He hoped she would agree, they couldn't be sure she'd stay quiet otherwise. "The King will being hunting us, and anyone who knows anything about us. You'll be safer with us- I think-" he hesitated, glancing back at Gren. They hadn't discussed it yet, but where else would they go? "We're going to the Elves, they'll protect you."

He hoped that was incentive enough. Everyone was curious about the Elves, and while most villages had untrustworthy sources and untrue rumors, Mashal was more informed of the truth. They knew the Elves weren't bad, and that they opposed Galbatorix and practiced magic. Surely Zyloria would want to go with them now?
@TheUnknowable I think I'd rather there be a continuation than doing both at once. I don't know what's going to happen to Vini, who he's going to turn into and what the world will be like years from now.
@TheUnknowable Two things, first thing Vini; he identifies as male and has a preference for male partners, at least that was him before. Now things are iffy, even to him. His preference hasn't changed much; he'll maybe fool around with a girl, but it's unlikely they would win his heart. What has changed is how he identifies; he feels more at home in a male body, but he's rapidly becoming accustomed to a female one as well. Added to the disassociation with his past appearance and it all becomes a bit murky just who he is.

I dunno about Derrin or romantic pairings for anyone else with Vini, he'll probably not wind up in any serious relationship, simply because no one will want all of him, but that doesn't mean he'd be adverse to hooking up here and there as a specific gender if people can get over the fact he shapeshifts his gender all the time.

Thing two; SPAAAAACE! So will we be learning about these Titans? The scientists who made the virus? Any of the alien life among the stars? I just reread the first post here in the OOC and honestly taking the superheroes to space sounds fun. To me. But I imagine there's an earth arc first, possibly totally character driven if we have Magneto and X-Men teams building. I'd like to see some aliens though, at some point, maybe later if you're feelin' it.
Vin

Vin glared at the guy at being brushed off, crossing her arms and trying not to scowl as she pondered what to say. Then a burst of electricity caught her attention. A new face appeared on the scene, shooting a blast of electricity. Vin raised an eyebrow in intrigue, curious about the girl's power- but then the guy beside her was suddenly electrified as well. It seemed energy manipulators weren't as rare as she thought they were. The guy ran off without giving her a chance to offer her help- or rather, not the help she was willing to offer. She refused to get involved in the battle, but she'd have healed his wounds. They hadn't seemed bad, directing his cells to repair the damage wouldn't be too costly, and she could always tap into the city's power to replenish herself.

Then there was a useless cop herding her off, and she turned her glare on him, totally unimpressed. She stalked off, retreating around the corner of a building and out of sight. She went slightly down the street away from anyone still watching and circled around to the apartment that was on fire. She ducked into alley halfway there, shedding her pants and jacket to pull on a new set of clothes. The girl who walked out of the adjacent building's front door didn't look anything like the one who had ducked into the alley.

She slipped into the building on fire and started pulling in energy from the heat, effectively snuffing out any flames that got near. Then she started perusing anything worth liberating for herself. Mostly clothes, not even bothering to look for money or something equally as hard to find. Boy clothes, girl clothes, kid clothes, adult clothes... she collected three whole outfits from the first room and stuffed them into her bag. Her simple presence had extinguished the fire in the room around her, as well as lessening the amount of heat in the lower building. Then she left, snatching a pair of vans from by the door as she did, and the heat began building up again.

If anyone looked too hard at her, her skin almost seemed to glow. If they could see behind her sunglasses there wouldn't be an almost about it. She hastily vanished down another alley and into the bathroom of a restaurant who were all outside staring at the commotion. There was a slight problem in that taking so much heat energy into herself was too much for her, and the energy was causing the glow as it hummed excitedly in her cells. She needed to discharge the excess, but she struggled with a moment on how... With little option, she simply vented it in it's previous form, the temperature in the bathroom rising rapidly. She then changed clothes into what she'd been wearing before reverted back to 'Vin', taking the opportunity to sneak into the kitchen and steal a plate of food that had yet to be taken out to the patrons.

She exited the back of the restaurant with a fancy plate in hand, using a fork to stab the cheesy pasta and looking around the corner to watch the fight with the pyro, filling her stomach as she did. This disaster had been rather lucky for her, she'd needed a change of clothes, it was actually why she was currently Vin and not Vini, she hadn't had the chance to wash her boy clothes in a while. She didn't even feel bad about it, the people she'd stolen from probably deserved a bit of karma, and her presence had likely spared their stuff from the flames assuming the fire department was quick about it. They'd have lost much more if she hadn't decided to steal from them!

All in all she was rather satisfied, now she just had to wait and see what the result was here. She was curious what happened to criminals with powers, and she wanted a better look at those shock-y people, the girl and the guy. The girl had good range, and the guy hadn't seemed to need a refuel, there was a lot she wanted to know about them.
@Mr_pink Nah, a blackout just makes things difficult for Vin since she needs power to replenish herself.
@TheUnknowable Derrin and Vin are totes stuck together now, confusing genderswapping shapeshifter or no. *cackles* Shoulda kept the electric hands on the dl. Same goes for Kate @Mr_pink. Vini is basically an energy vampire, all three of his abilities rely on having enough energy within himself to make them work and do what he wants them to. He uses his energy to force cells to change, he uses energy for energy-based abilities like shocking and heating things, and his psychic field is basically an invisible bubble of psychic energy. The people with the power to generate energy are basically Vini's ticket to growing more powerful more quickly. If he can convince them to stick close at any rate, and considering his total lack of desire to be a hero and the fact they've both shown themselves to be vigilante aspirants that seems... sketchy.

Oh and pink, when Kate accessed the city's power what effect did that have? Black out? Or did she take just a little and everything is still running smoothly?
@Classpet

Mike glanced at the classroom, and then gave Ollie a flat look. "We're with Gryffindor." He stated blandly, as if that answered everything. In a way it did; the Gryffs would never miss out the chance to bolt from the classroom and flounce about the Forbidden Forest battling Trolls. Hufflepuff couldn't very well let them go without backup, and regardless of whether the teacher needed them they had done the spell, solving the hardworking part of their duties, all that was left was loyalty, which would be satisfied by offering their assistance to the Professor.

Mostly Mike just wanted to get some fresh air and see what happened next. "Come on."
