Vin

Vin frowned, the shock guy seemed to be losing his battle, his opponent was just too quick, and seemed to have a counter for everything. She pondered going to help for a moment, but really, there were plenty of others who'd already involved themselves, did she really need to risk it?

Her eyes fell on the burning building.

No. She didn't.

But she wanted to.

Sighing in exasperation at herself, she shoved another two fork-fulls of pasta into her mouth and shoved the plate into a trash can. This is going to end in tears. Then she was shoving her way past the policeman- and really, why don't they just shoot someone already! and approaching the pyro from behind.

She used the shocky man's attack as a distraction and reached out to grip the man by the back of his neck. She simultaneously launched two separate attacks; beginning to suck in every bit of energy the man's body was producing and storing, and forcing his skin to rip itself apart, which would result in long cuts all over his body. It was a vicious attack, but she wasn't too concerned. He would probably survive.

Probably.
Forgive me if that's not how fishing traps work...
Galen Derricson and Kolysakr

Gale had to stop himself from not so subtly checking out his friend, but Kolysakr's not so subtle demands for hunger was enough to refocus him on the task at hand. There wasn't any time to stand around, so he was fast behind Alph as he crossed into the river. The current was strong, much stronger than he'd felt it before, but as they neared the western bank they reached the smoother flowing shallows. The traps were simple wooden constructs, essentially twigs stuck into the ground here and there, as well as a few loosely woven baskets. The trick was making the area appear like a natural environment where the fish would go to hunt for food, but the twigs and baskets were a maze designed for interested fish to investigate, but never find their way out again. The traps were even more full than normal, many of the fish having sought to escape the rapid waters by hiding in the shallows.

Galen lugged a basket from under the water at the edge of the shallow zone, it's tie was loose and the thing had almost been torn away. There were a good number of fish within, now gasping and flapping around frantically that they were out of the water. Gale handed the basket to Alph and pointed him towards the twig-maze. In such a close difficult-to-navigate area, the fish wouldn't be able to escape their hands. Gale snatched up another basket further in the shallows, this one with only a couple of fish within. He then trudged through the mud towards the maze and started plucking the cornered fish from the waters and dropping them in the basket. "Rona was a genius," he commented offhandedly, "but be careful of snakes. The same trap that lured in fish also lured in the unwanted hungry serpents as well, though Rona had never mentioned anything poisonous.
@Awesomoman64 It's fine, there was just a list of things I wanted the guys who stayed behind to do, but then Zyloria joined us and then we were together again. It's not that important, and certainly not anyone's fault. I'm flexible, so everything is cool.

You don't need to edit if you don't want to, we're not in any rush at all.
@BurningCold It's done, but fair warning abusing your position and I'll get someone else. I'll start filling you in.
@BurningCold I want to pick someone who's going to be away from my character a lot. The trip back to Mashal was quick and a bit dull because I wasn't there fleshing it out and livening it up like I should have been. Granted I don't have to be there ICly to post and give depth and stuff, but it does help. At this point I'm a little unsure as to who will be with Galen when the group inevitably splits for their various missions (teams of two dragons and riders with others tagging along if necessary). I think Gren's ambitions might make you the right person for the job, but there's a lot that's going to be spoiled to my co-GMs, you sure you want that?
@BurningCold Well, as many as we like I guess. As the number of players grow I'll start appointing some co-GM's to help manage things. I've actually started thinking about getting one recently, because we're already splitting up so much.
@Gisk ... Maybe? I grouped them for a reason but I can't remember what, maybe it was that they had horses? But it makes more sense for the guys with the eggs to have the horses...

I'm going to say no...?
@TheUnknowable Your patience is amazing, but I am not so impressive. My patience is short and useless. It lasts a day at most, we're like four times that now.
Sorry for the wait, bit ill yesterday and scrambling around a bit today. Next post things start happening, begin fearing mortal injury imminently! Also, I recommend getting a move on. Like now.
