Is this character totally and unashamedly based off the video game Prey? Why yes, yes it is!
Name: Koda Yuhashira
Age: 24
Appearance I:
Personality(Optional): Koda would say his defining personality trait is compassion, and indeed he does love to do a good deed, so much so as to go out of his way to help even a stranger, but his inquisitive nature is most dominant; more than anything, he wants to know, to understand. On the other side Koda might confess his worst trait is his impulsiveness, jumping to a task without any planning or organization, but his elder brother would label him flippant, not fond of taking any situation seriously.
Occupation: Koda works as an Assistant Researcher for the Director of Research of his family's company; the Talos Group. His job requires assembling and tinkering with complicated machines and discussion of complex scientific themes across a wide range of subjects, and though he is intelligent and grew up surrounded by the company's projects, Koda is only in his first month of work and barely staying afloat.
History (Optional): His parents were well off, not quite 'never need to work a day in their lives' rich, but wealthy enough that they could do something big with their money. That something was the Talos Group, founded by themselves and their group of friends almost the second they graduated from college. Their research went into cutting edge technologies like space travel, fabrication, computers, and genetic modification- and, on the sly, human experimentation, mostly on themselves, and then as they grew larger, on quietly collected volunteers.
While Koda enjoyed indulging in research binges on everything from archaeology to artificial intelligences, his elder brother Kenan was far more business savvy, and earned a place in his parent's company effortlessly, with Koda piddling about with his friends heedless of his future. After several years in and out of college, catching a variety of small jobs here and there, Koda acquiesced to his parents' wishes and joined the company as an assistant to the Director at the Talos building in Lightbridge.
Semblance Type: Unfettered.
Semblance Appearance (Optional): The mask does not depict a face, but rather something like a piece of a helmet; made of triangles melded together to make a oval-ish dome around the face, akin to a geometrically inspired space helmet. It is dark in color, near black, and fades from near opaqueness at the top, to just enough transparency to barely make out the lower half of the face beneath. At eye level, shining through from the underside of the glass-like triangles, there is a perfect circle of blue light, as if to call to mind a cyclops with just one great big eye.
Semblance Abilities:
Etheric Form: Koda's body no longer behaves as it normally should, while on the surface it appears normal, it can be made malleable with thought, becoming a shimmering grey-black substance akin to solids, liquids, and gases all at once. The new flesh, even when not out of shape, is still durable, but while exceptionally mutable in both shape and color, the form is also elastic and will always return to the base.
Mindjack: In a word, telepathy, but more complicated than simple and intuitive speaking with the mind and much more like learning an alien language using an imaginary tongue. Koda can perceive thoughts and inject his own into others', but it is a slow skill to learn and foreign thoughts will always be recognizably alien. With significant amounts of training, and enough will, Koda might even be able to fill empty brains with his own thoughts. Necromancy anyone? Let's hope the muscles still work...
Psychoshock: A psychic attack, or an electric attack, he isn't sure... Koda believes he somehow charges and directs his own body's electrical (or psychic) energy to attack a target's physical form, harming their nerves or energy or... something, harming their something. The attack has little effect on inanimate objects beyond causing random momentary glitches in electronics, or simply causing a metal object give anyone who touches it a harmless static shock.
Appearance II: Koda looks much like he did before, only the etheric nature of his form is much closer to the surface. He appears to wisp at the edges, as if dark and slick smoke was rising from his form, the substance shimmering like shadowy liquid but wafting quietly like slow steam, and constantly in motion, almost like snakes or tentacles crawling in a shadow. At any moment it looked as if the darkness at his edges would collapse inwards and all that would be left was a maw of writhing black... but for now there was a human before the shadow, even if the scleras of his eyes were deep red.
Fallen Information (Optional): Nofec was a hunter, and a killer, selfish and hungering. They were not evil, though many would name them such, they simply couldn't care for others, they were incapable of empathizing, and thus addressed only the wants and needs of themself, and foremost among those needs were a deep ache for more. The more they ate, the more they grew, the more they knew, the more they were, and as a being who recognized only itself, growing more was the only way to feel less alone.
Consuming everything and everyone in sight however, was not conducive to making friends and staying alive, and so Nofec was forever silenced after only days of life.
