The two were locked in their struggle for a moment. "A spy?" she asked, confused. "Stop trying to confuse me!" she exclaimed next. What puzzled Balon was that she seemed genuinely confused by what he was saying. She was not a spy then... But what she said next finally revealed it to him. "You-Will-Not-Take-My-Home. You-Will-Not-Enslave-My-People." By the gods... It's a mermaid! Balon thought in astonishment. He had heard they were real but never actually seen or met one. He had also heard what humans did to them under the dictator's rule. Curses... She thinks I'm the bad guy... he thought, but his thoughts were cut short when she drew her head back and headbutted him hard in the face. Sure it hurt, but when he was finished clenching his eyes shut it seemed to him that it hurt more on the girl. Poor thing probably had no idea how to do a proper headbutt. Surprised once more was he however when she decided to lunge for the other sword that had rolled away in the struggle. He was able to keep her held which caused her lunge to turn into a faceplant into the rocks. "Oh fuck that must've hurt!.." he exclaimed aloud as he quickly took advantage of the situation to wrestle the sword free and with a quick motion held it against her neck. With his other hand, he still held her wrist tightly, putting it up on her back in an armlock to try to subdue her."You're at my mercy now, woman, and I want some answers. I'm gonna ask you a few questions, and you're going to answer them. You understand?"
If she responded with a nod or some kind of 'yes', he would proceed to ask her the questions. "I'll start with this: what are you, and who are you?" he says sternly but not harshly to begin with. "Next, do you have any idea of who we are?" Lastly, he leaned in closer to her (but not creepily close) to ask the final question: "Are you friend... Or foe?"
