@Raijinslayer Yeah, I've always been fascinated by mythology, specifically Norse. Just something about it, the depth that some of their legends go into is insane. Perhaps silver-haired can be the new silver eyes? foreshadowing intensifies

@Raijinslayer Hmm, I'm kind of realizing that his Semblance is a little similar to Rowan's. But it's also not, so I suppose it's probably not a huge deal. They serve different purposes, so I think it'll pass. The armor/Aura piercing seems pretty balanced. We'll just wait for Reap on the history side of things, and I think you'll be good.

You know, I just saw this on the first page of the OOC. Scratch my earlier post about the timeline, because now I've gone and confused myself. We'll just wait for Reap to clear this up. She'll sweep in and save the day, no doubt.

In the meantime, though, you could address the Semblance issue. I still think it might be a bit too overpowered Unless you're fighting Rowan. She doesn't have any weapons to disable! Muahahahahaha!

@Raijinslayer Much better, I think. A couple of notes: His history doesn't really match our timeline. The war happened 80 years before RWBY. We're at most 60 years before RWBY, so none of our characters would have been alive during the war. Also, if I understand his Semblance correctly, he is capable of destroying (Or disabling, at least) other's weapons, right? I don't think there's a problem with an armor/Aura piercing Semblance, but just outright destroying weapons might be a bit overpowered. Give @Reapthemusic a chance to weigh in on it. It is a definite improvement over your other character, though.

@Turboshitter Haha, whoops. Guess I didn't catch that while typing out my response. I can go back and edit it if you want, or we could just blame it on Rowan being kind of aloof.

@Raijinslayer what Reap means is that every character in RWBY is based off of someone. Ruby = little red riding hood, Weiss = snow white, and so on. Look to history, you mention something about a revolutionary leader. You could go for mythology as well. Obviously you don't have to use these, but they are a couple suggestions.

Also, every single person is capable of doing what your character's Semblance does. Just wanted to point that out.

EDIT: Another good one could be Arthurian legend, if you want a literal knight.

Rowan looked to the shark faunus, who had just suggested perhaps the most absurd plan possible, given their circumstances. She responded with a smile of her own. “Aye aye, Cap’n! Maybe next time, he won’t bite off more than he could chew!”

Rowan adjusted her stance, strengthening her grip on the side of the Grimm. She took one last look below into the belly of the beast, and held out the box of Dust. “Ready when you are, Cap’n!” She added a salute, unsure of proper pirate etiquette. The whole pirate thing felt quite unfamiliar, and a little awkward, but it helped alleviate some of the tension currently welling up inside the pit of her stomach. Perhaps it was the silliness of it all that gave her a small amount of comfort.
