Thing's are getting a little hectic - my current uni status can be described as "All the assignments!" - will do my best to keep up with RP's though.

Bio

Programmer and Reenactor out of Australia.
Always looking for a good Scifi/Fantasy RP with a mystery to unravel.

Work keeps me busy, but I'll do my best to keep up with RP's.

Steve sat at the writing desk in his apartment, staring at the computer screen in front of him and fighting the urge to yawn. He was exhausted - he hadn't slept properly in a couple of days, but the last thing he wanted to do right know was go to bed and relive that same twisted dream he'd been having for the past week. The screen in front of him went dark from lack of input and he reached for the mouse, then thought better of it and stood up, stretching his arms wide as he walked towards the small kitchenette, steering around the low coffee table piled with books and loose papers.

The dream was always the same - the abandoned warehouse, the guy, the two women; one dressed in white, the other radiating malevolence and ill intent. The woman in white and the guy converse, something about taking care of "them" - whoever "they are" - then the gun, the whispered goodbye, and he wakes up with a bang. He's thought about writing it down, committing it to paper; it certainly seems like the start of a killer story, but he doesn't want to risk burning it any deeper into his subconscious than it already is. He's already been having flashes - unfamiliar people out of the corner of his eye that aren't there a moment later, strange sensations that don't mesh with what he's doing.

The kitchen is slightly less cluttered than the rest of his apartment, with half a sink full of dishes he should really get around to doing at some point. He looked in the fridge, hoping for something quick to eat, but no luck, he can add grocery shopping to his to-do list tomorrow. Steven thought for a moment, then shrugged, heading for the door. It was late, but there were still a couple of places open where he could grab a bite to eat at this hour. He grabbed his wallet, phone and keys on the way out and locked the door behind him. There was a small 24hr kebab shop a 10 minute walk away, and the walk would do him good.

It was only April but it had rained earlier in the day and a chill wind blew through the streets as Steve made his way back from the kebab, munching absently on his late night feast, regretting his decision not to grab a jumper on the way out. It wasn't cold by the standards of some places he'd visited, but it was chilly enough to make him wish he'd worn something else besides a thin t-shirt and jeans. The streetlights cast long shadows and shined off the puddles of water pooling on the street as he walked along.

Suddenly he wasn't in Sydney. He squinted his eyes against the bright light, shielding them with his arm as he tried to look around. He was on a plain somewhere, next to the sea. It was also mid-afternoon, which explained the different light levels.

"Hey, aren't you cold?"

Steven twisted around looking for the source of the noise. A brown hair man in a thick winter coat stood a little distance away, staring at him like he'd seen a ghost. "Never mind that!, where the heck am I?" he said, staring over the wide plain.
Still alive and kicking! Working on post now. Have replied to @FirolV
Seeing as the majority of characters are in the northern hemisphere (Correct me if I'm wrong, I think it's everyone but Steven), Spring is about March to the beginning of June.

So using a random number generator I picked the 29th of April. (Gen'd two numbers between 1-3 and 1-30). Is that OK to everyone?

Totally OK if anyone had a specific date in mind for whatever reason.
Posted up my WIP so people can get an idea of the character. Will update when I can.

Personality;
Steven is innately open and curious, always looking around, poking his nose into things, trying to figure out what makes them tick. He is open and friendly, always willing to sit and chat, even if there is something he should really rather be doing. Fairly disorganized, he is surrounded a by a clutter of books, half completed projects and notebooks filled with sketches and scribbles, though he doesn’t mind as long he can root around and find the thing is he looking for at that moment. While he appears easygoing at first, his first instinct in a confrontation is to push back just as hard, and he has a wide stubborn streak that has gotten him into trouble more than once - as has his curiosity.

Place of Origin;
Australia - Born in Perth, now living in Sydney.

History;
Born to strict and controlling parents, Steven often chafed at the restrictions placed upon him growing up, preferring to read or wander off in search of answers rather than apply himself to his schoolwork. With high expectations, his parents tried many different techniques to try and get him to focus on his studies, but to little avail, and they eventually decided to send him to a boarding school in a last-ditch effort to instill some discipline into their son. The next years were unhappy ones for Steven, who did not flourish at all in the confining environment of the dormitory, instead finding solace in his books, escaping to the different worlds within.

He finally graduated high school with solid if unspectacular grades and immediately moved away to begin travelling, backpacking around both Australia and overseas, taking temporary or seasonal work to pay his way. He refused to let the possibility of danger sway his travel plans, travelling instead to places he thought would be interesting or enlightening, something that led him into trouble numerous times as fighting broke out or the area proved hostile to foreigners. On one particular occasion he had to spend of couple of days hiding in the basement of a friendly local before making a break to safer territory. He had several relationships over his travels, though they rarely lasted a long time as he kept traveling, though the usually ended more or less amicably.

It was during this time period as well that he wrote the story that would become his first book “The Haunted Comet”, receiving a small advance and some minor royalties in return for it. While it never made much of an impact, he felt an undeniable sense of achievement for getting his name on the cover of a book, even if it was (in his own words) a trashy paperback. Eventually he moved back to Australia and settled down, renting a small apartment in Sydney. He fully intends to take up travelling again, though at the moment he is concentrating on working on his next story. He recently got back into contact with his parents, and though still rocky, is on speaking terms with them.

Extra;
He is conversational in several language, including French, German and Chinese, but not fluent.
Favorite show changes, but DS9 and Sense8 are both good watches
Saturday where I am! I have an exam in an hour, but I'm spending the afternoon after that finishing my character.
Yep, still working on it, will get it done soon though.
So I was thinking a male Australian or New Zealander. Though I am open to change if we need to keep the balance. Not sure about the job yet either, though I have a couple of possibles.
@iSuspect Fair enough, is a nice round number.
@FiroIV Glad to be here. Sense8 is an awesome show and should make for a nice juicy rp

I already posted on the other thread. But I would be very interested in joining if if there's room.
Just a thought, but it never actually says anywhere that clusters always have to be 8 people, just that it made a snappier title.
