Well, if your friends have never met an addict, I'd imagine they wouldn't know the slightest bit what it feels like. Even if it's a big deal to you, they might not know what it feels like. To them, it'll be just another cool epiks mime thing to joke about. I'd suggest not dealing with them much until they forget about it in a couple months, but I'm lacking perspective to give any real advice.

More around my area of interest is this: I know you need to gush, but I still wouldn't recommend posting about this stuff online. Just from the links you've posted, I already know your last name and hometown, and could probably keep digging to find even more dox. That's usually never good. Parts of the web thrive off this sort of stuff, and it's the last thing you need right now. But that's me being paranoid and crap.

my point is: I'm sorry. At the very least, you're probably turning out better than your parents already.

So... the spectators and the ones on the... "other side"?

Yeah, the people forced to hear about all that racket and terrible rhymes do tend to detest it.

We are talking about rap here, right?

... Sounds fun...

It is for some.

Others find it utterly repulsive.

Then talk. Spam is cool with this sort of stuff. Even if it involves hundreds of dead people and high political tension.

Especially so.
Plug your computer into the TV and play whatever it is you want to watch from there. Then return your DVD to the place you bought it and ask for a refund(optional).

It assumes you own relatively modern tv that accepts the video output from a serial plug(or your computer and TV both have HDMI) and that you physically have the room and cables to do so. Or that there is some reason this isn't possible, which is why you're going through the dvd hacking in the first place.

But it bypasses all that bullshit related to regional lockout.

Huh. Nice opinions.

Well, to be fair, I'm certain you'd respond similarly if I asked you about say, The Life Bohemian.
Don't care.
Well, it's overly conspiratorial, but if it made for a bad story, it wouldn't be told quite as much. Personally though, I wouldn't want to go down the overly-based-on-real-life path. That's politics, and wouldn't make for a good roleplay.

But a dystopia is still plenty of fun.

Picture a society drenched in banality, where people pay drown in meaningless information about trends and fads and celebrities. Even governments struggle to process all the excess information, and try to clamp down and increase survellance efforts. Radicals opposed to it slip underneath it and try to stop it by force, only making it stronger instead. Freedoms are removed in almost every aspect.

And no one even notices, too busy watching Pawn Star Shore Dynasty.

We're neck-deep in the dystopia when the RP starts. It's a slice of life story, in the middle of locked-down world that makes no sense whatsoever, neither to the people who live in it, the people who run it, or the people who write it.

I guess that could be fun. To me, at least. Maybe not as original as you were hoping though.
