Hey, none of that! Your posts won't suck ❤ Dont worry about it
I'd like to join this rp! I have plenty ideas for a character :>
@Kinjaav I think you should reply before I do! I don't have much to write expect "Aava followed the two men curiously and leaving a wet trail behind her" :--D
A sly smile took over the creature's face. Its reflection wavered like the rippling surface of the lake, almost ethereal, but still there. How would the creature lure this traveler into its domain? Would it invite the man for a swim, or would it ask for help? The favourite way of this particular lake demon was to pretend to be drowning. That lured good willed people into the lake in no time, unsuspecting of the demise they'd meet the moment they'd touch the creature.
"(The water is nice. Don't you want to refresh yourself with a swim? I'm so lonely without a friend.)" the creature spoke in a suggestive voice that barely matched the eerie look of it. The creature was careful not to come above the surface of the lake at all, staying low on the water of the shore, curious eyes examining its prey. The greenish hair flowed around its head like algae. The creature smiled seemingly innocently, blowing bubbles onto the surface playfully.
The man reached out to touch the creature's face, then. Its smile widened, large eyes not following the curving of its mouth. As soon as the man's hand pierced the surface of the water, the creature's hand shot out, grapping the man's wrist with a surprising force. Sharp, yellowish nails scraped the skin of the man's wrist. It was unnaturally cold to touch, not like the pulsing blood and warm meat the creature was oh so used to.
Still, like a well-oiled machine, the creature yanked the man into the lake with it all the while a giggle sounded from its lips, a young woman's laughter.
"(Come play, come play... the water is nice, why won't you meet your demise? Drown with me, drown.)"
Meee!!
Aava

@Kinjaav@yoyohayli

Aava watched, fascinated, as the delicious prey before her vanished into a shadow, but the voice persisted. Now the person holding her was also talking. The conversation was a strange language she couldn't understand. The only thing jumping up to her was the combination of sounds that formed a word.
Aava.
Large eyes blinked curiously, ragged breaths moved a bony ribcage back and forth in the clutch of someone familiar.
Then the prey appeared again before them, a dark mass from a shadow. This startled Aava, making her blink rapidly and open her mouth for a little nib. Even as she tried to extend her neck for a taste, though, she was too far away.
Not hunting time.
Oh, that was right. Aava glanced back at the man holding her loosely, something a little like apology in her fishy eyes.
Didn't mean to. Just hungry.
"Gggghhhrrrgh?" Aava gurgled curiously then. She was remembering something. A lifetime ago, really. Just a hint.
"Ghhr...minä... Aava?" (translation: me... Aava?) Her voice sounded dry like it wasn't meant for talking and like she hadn't used it in a millenia. Maybe there were her first words in a very very long time, indeed.
The dull morning fog was already disappearing, but the remnants of it were faintly swirling in the air like a dance, slowly floating towards them and against Aava's skin. The mist particles seemed to be pulling towards her, like she was controlling them unconsciously in an attempt to scrape any little moisture she could from the surrounding area. It wasn't enough, but it seemed to calm her somewhat, the fog flowing on her skin and absorbing into it like a starved plant.
Aava blinked at the man who was now gesturing at them. She looked back at the familiar man again, unsure of what to do. It seemed that now the creature realised for the second time how out of its element it truly was.
Y E S
Evren: comfortable?
Aava: *blows bubbles on the surface like a satisfied child*
NOw I'm just imagining Aava in a bathtub filled to the brim, smiling contently with only the top of her head poking out lol
Aava

@Kinjaav@yoyohayli

Aava wanted to move, but something was restraining her. She tried to tug and force it, but the vaguely familiar figure had her securely grappled.
"Ggghhhrrrrrrgghh..." she gurgled, a sound dry and wet all at once. Her eyes were still firmly fixed on the unfamiliar figure before them, the target of her hunt.
'Aava.'
Aava stopped struggling against the grip even though she knew she could break free if she wanted to. The man holding her was weak. But his voice...
Not safe to hunt.
Aava had no memory... No concept of what those sounds meant. What the man was saying. Yet she understood completely. It was like language was slowly coming back to her, just bits and parts of it.
Almost morning. Back to the lake.

'The lake.'

Aava calmed down completely, her rugged breaths slowing steadily as her poking ribs stuck out from her torso. Aava's bony spine was nested against the man who smelled familiar. This was a friend, something told her so.
Aava gazed around with her large eyes frantically, but her body language was more relaxed now, even if she was tangled in hair that was way too long and unmaintained.
But... Hungry.
Aava slowly looked back at the man holding her back, her joints cracking as she did so. She opened her mouth, but no coherent words came out.
"Ghhhrrhhg...ghgr..?"
No... No hunting? Where... My lake? Our lake?
Aava was pale and skeletally bony, skin and bone, but even when she was so desperately lost something in her was trying to reach out for answers. Words. She knew them, she understood what they meant, but she couldn't... She couldn't form them, make sense of them. They were somewhere inside of her, lost. But they were there somewhere.
Okay, I changed it, but it’s a little short. Lmk if it needs more meat, I just have a migraine rn and wanted to get something up before work.
