Yeah, generally speaking it's pretty easy here in Northern CA to get out of cell range. Where I am you just drive up into the mountains and boom, relative solitude.

Not much, I get to go camping starting tomorrow so I'll be out of phone/internet range for the weekend which I'm SUPER stoked about. Nothing recharges me like being in the middle of the woods and out of communication for a while :D

Question: When are we planning on starting the RP portion of this bad boy? Also, what kind of setting is our first game going to be set in?

Right now just build a general frame of a character concept you wouldn't mind playing for an adventure or two. We are going to plug it into the real world just because the real world is something I hope we can all relate to.

My understanding was that we were 'rift runners' for the sake of having an overall story arc and the same character archetype (if we want to) in various settings that range all over the place from fantasy to scifi to modern. It's more a loose framework than a coherent storyline.

Looking for some new RP buddies (Full with 7 folks, try this technique out for yourself)

I have the game thread built for you all, let's move over there and get working on some game concepts, talk about movies, crack some wise, and altogether goof off.

@Deserted So if I wanted to be a mechanical engineer who was also a mechanic I'd be a support wizard right? Sorry for all the questions, I just kind of have a feel for how I want her in my head and am trying to get it right.

@Deserted I'm definitely looking to be more the Tony Stark approach so I'll change it to Jack/Wizard.

*edit-I can't decide if I want to do Jack/Wizard or Support/Wizard. I want her to know a little bit of everything and be able to create/fix things to help everyone out. It's almost sounding like more of a Jack/Support/Wizard..... Can we choose 3?

I just want to make sure I'm understanding this right. So if I want my character to be a Jack/Medic I could be a mechanic with an EMT background in our dimension. A crafter/healer in a fantasy setting, engineer/medic in a sci-fi setting. Same basic character with flavor differences, correct?
