my friend showed me a picture of her cat sitting in a tub full of water, looking entirely disillusioned with humans and their bullshit, and now i'm unreasonably happy

Who's This Chode?

Yo. I'm Alexa, and, as you might surmise from my username, I'm both eternally enamored with and eternally enraged at From Software's Bloodborne. I aspire to be the sort of writer that can wrench your still-beating heart from your chest, crush it completely with eloquent, tragic prose, and make you want to come back again and again, begging for more. (。◕ ‿ ◕。)

Also, I really love dogs.

Deciding my character's spirits ought to be fun - I must say, I'm looking forward to this.
@HellHoundWoof

Consider an alliance forged, haha.
@HellHoundWoof

I'm also planning on playing a mercenary, unless inspiration for something more versatile strikes, so it'll be interesting to see the contrast between the characters.
As far as accompanying imagery goes, do you prefer realistic face claims or animated or what? (I do plan on including a description, but I do like having an image alongside it.)
@Prisk

No worries! I provided a real-life version alongside the animated one, so that way we can have the best of both. I'd consider it a solid compromise, as far as face claims go.
Seems as though we've got quite the diverse bunch of personalities here - both characters and the writers that portray them. Excellent.

For my character, I was considering something drastically different from my usual reckless hotheads or cheerful idiots; I was considering an earnest, yet somewhat serious loner-type. Probably comes off as all kinds of cold and distant, but the kind that doesn't associate with people not by preference or choice, but because the poor dear wouldn't know how to maintain a conversation to save her life. She probably comes off as unintentionally arrogant, probably even infuriatingly enigmatic. (I want to see if I can put a twist on the "distant loner" trope.)

It's a shame we've got to find real-life face claims, though I suppose it can't be helped. I was initially thinking something like this http://41.media.tumblr.com/8bb8e9c253d3c3e4cd9a7ec418bb16f4/tumblr_neauymheZs1tsnc1bo1_1280.png for my disaster child's appearance. (Image not drawn by me, of course. I only wish I could draw that well.)

Found a suitable real-life face claim: http://i.imgur.com/qScYh6a.jpg
He's not going to be the typical grizzled hardass - I'm planning something more whimsical, cheerful, and eccentric, if only to add to the unease factor. I'm sure I'll find ways to entertain myself.

Kudos to you for the role play, though. I've been itching to try out this vigilante hunter for ages.
@Ishmael

Oh, I could find other uses for him, I'm certain. Of course, if you think a different sort of character would suit the setting better, by all means, suggest away.
On one hand, I'd like to take a more unconventional approach in creating my character. On the other, the concept of a vigilante that hunts other vigilantes (only when they begin to go "bad" in a sense, of course) is fascinating.

She's probably a perfectionist, too, and won't hesitate to point out others' flaws - but, that's only because she's had plenty of practice agonizing over her own.
