-=Name=-Lieutenant Katherine 'Kat' Winters... Well, before America fell.
-=Age=-31.. Before the bombs fell.
-=Appearance=- Katherine stands at a mighty 6'0. Tall for a female but perfect for a vintage t-51b. Her upper half is a rather smaller bust but her chest and arms make up for that lack of definition with significant but still sleek muscle mass. Her long legs share this trait.
-=Personality=-She really doesn't have much in this category. Her entire life from the age of 18 was devoted to the American dream.
Democracy is non negotiableNow with the destruction of the USA, she struggles to find her place in a world of disorder. She is forced to create her own strategic priorities rather than carrying out the orders of a superior.
In no way does this make her an ignorant blind drone but without a mission, she has little, if any, direction or motivation to do great things in the service of no-one.
-=Faction=-Wastelander, wanderer.
-=S.P.E.C.I.A.L=-Strength- 6, Her military conditioning is a huge factor.
Perception- 8, To be a commander, one must be aware!
Endurance- 7, Even though boot camp isn't for everyone...
Charisma- 1, would be less but due to being female, there is always some dumbass falling for a pretty face.
Intelligence- 7, Not only has tactical training honed this, but actual battlefield training has formed a well rounded mind.
Agility- 7, who needs armor when you're that fast.
Luck- 6, In combat, many have questioned how she had such steady aim and such skill at directing her men to victory. Uncanny... Unnatural some have said. Even going so far as to claiming Zetan interference.
Idiots...
-=Backstory=-"My past... Before the vault everything feels like it was yesterday."
Katherine was born to a lower income family in Nebraska. Her life was lackluster as her father tried hard to pay the bills and still keep her little princess happy with gifts. Sadly these gifts were last years gifts but it didn't matter to Katherine at all. She loved her family.
As her life progressed, there was little excitement. School days came and went, seasons blurred by. Until red china began to challenge America's might. Communism is the very definition of failure, the slogan that brought Katherine and many of her friends into America's army. Her service was exemplary, raising quickly within the ranks. Upon reaching her final title of lieutenant, the battle of anchorage had begun and what better place to send a hard core patriot such as Katherine.
The battle was intense, so intense that her positions continued to fall back. The Chinese were endless until the roar of miniguns signaled the return of freedom. The T-51b's had arrived ad with it, the rallying cry for the troops that now had a chance. It seemed Alaska was going to soon be liberated.
It was in just enough time that Katherine was flown to eastern Pennsylvania for a special project by the us government. A strange program to further augment power armor wearers. As the us army prepared many new weapons such as the Mighty Liberty Prime, She was to be a new breed of super soldiers. This may have been the variant to the Forced Evolutionary Virus, but no one will ever know.
Her travels east were, as her pre-military life, lackluster. There were no major threats aside from the raiders and ever rarer super mutants... Well, that one Death claw. Weeks, or maybe months passed as she continued eastwards, stopping by various settlements and the occasional odd job to earn a bed. Cap collecting was not her forte so she was always forced into the aggressive jobs. This was perfect for her, a chance to hone her combat skills, even against the pathetic and disorganized raiders of the wastelands.
This seemingly random travel finally culminated at the arrival of New York city. Her mission was to reach something she had heard bits and pieces of as she traveled. A secret pre-war military base that housed the american government. They would be able to give her direction.
She believes she was only frozen for a few years but obviously this is not the case. However, as of now she only has a rumor and a rifle to go on.
-=Vault Number=- 39, Eastern Pennsylvania.
-=Vault=- Vault 39 was masqueraded as a legitimate fallout shelter. When the bombs fell and the survivors moved beyond the massive doors, they found themselves in a paradise. Flora and Fauna were everywhere and in special rooms, various creatures. After some checkups and a special chamber designed for "compartmentalized sleep." the trap was sprung. Her body was quickly frozen, along side many other soldiers and civilians alike. It was at this time that the mutation was injected and vault-tec did their strange experiments.
After many years, the doors opened due to a pressure change in her pod. Her waking eyes could only see pods with strange, mutated bodies sleeping inside. Nearby there were human skeletons strewn about, as if just throne by some crazed beast. As she continued through the facility all she could see was the sick experiments her so called "saviors". Deer with eight legs, Large rabbits with horns of a goat. It was a strange place, devoted to the virus and its effects on everything.
-=Weapon choice=- 'Short' version R-91 assault rifle with two thirty round magazines. This has a saw'd off stock and a shorter barrel than the stock version.
Arctic camo-pattern accelerated Gauss rifle with an advanced long range scope.
Combat knife
Additional Gadgetry
Mk-I 02 Combat visor; A pre-war prototype visor carrying the same technology as the power armor Tactical hud. This version can see through thin obstructions like walls. This device only works with the Light armor as it runs off of a power core.
Mk-II-X light assault armor; A light combat suit variant that offers increased protection via magnetic plates over core areas of the body. This suit requires power cores to operate its magnetic plates. Even though it shows obvious visible plates that protect against shrapnel from explosions, it is not a true power-armor in any way. It is a suit with the high tech plates attached to it.
