The Land of EspereoxThe land of Espereox. A strange world that combines low and urban fantasies with magical technologies. For centuries, humans have been the dominant species of this world, with expansive civilizations that stretched across the landscape. They lived in harmony with the other races and species of the world, willing to conduct trade and diplomacy with the elves, the werebeasts, the vampires etc., but the humans' technological and social expansions far outclassed those of all over living species. The humans were humble enough, at least, to understand the importance of symbiosis. In exchange for sharing their advances with the other races, they were given advances in return. The elves shared the secrets of magic, and the two races, working in tandem, managed to harness magical energy for use in technology. Magical tech quickly became the biggest technology used throughout the world. Espereox was an idealistic world with an idealistic future.
But one day, things started to change. Violent outbursts from other species started, few at first, but slowly increasing in frequency. Certain races started to become corrupted, the corruption spreading like a disease throughout the populations. Humans and elves were lucky. The were advanced enough to migrate away from their corrupted brethren. Other races were not so lucky. There were few werebeasts that escaped unscathed, and vampires were overtaken entirely. Scholars and scientists scrambled to figure out the source of this corruption and the violence, while the population was herded into small cities, as large civilations fell. With most of Espereox overtaken by the wilderness, work continued behind the scenes, with scientists trying to find causes for the change in behavior and scholars scouring ancient texts for any prophecies that might explain the events. However, the information was too fragmented; there were too many missing pieces. They surmised that more evidence might exist in the wilderness, but it was too dangerous for anyone to venture outside the towns. Everyone who was combat capable already had their hands full trying to keep the remaining pockets of civilization.
That's when mysterious warriors appeared in the small town of Dawngarden. Literally appearing in flashes of light, They were seen as saviors and sent to fight the violent species and corrupted races. They were tasked with reclaiming and purifying the world.

The main stats of importance are Strength, Dexterity, Resolve, Intelligence, Wisdom, Spirit, and Luck. All other stats in the game are based off of these main stats. These stats are increased through leveling up or the use of certain rare items. The level cap is 70. Equipment does not affect the main stats, only the sub stats that the equips apply to.
The characters can access their inventory, character status, quest log, etc. by consciously thinking about pulling them up, and closing them in the same fashion. Spells can be cast by thinking about them, and consumable items materialize in their hands in the same fashion. Items can also be retrieved from the inventory by physically reaching into their bag and thinking of a specific item to pull out. Gold can be retrieved in the same way.
Character avatars are physically identical to the person's appearance in real life. Avatars can not be changed be what can be changed in real life. Equipment magically changes size to accommodate the physical stature of the characters, as long as it is appropriate for their class. All text and speech is universally translated into the language the speaker is most comfortable with.
Rules:
- No godmodding, metagaming, or powerplaying.
- The beginning of RP will take place in the real world, and will last one or two posts per character. Use it to establish your character, flesh out their personality, show how they found the website, etc.
- Your character must have clicked the secret link and seen the thank you page to be transported. I would like to see this either outrighted stated or at least implied in you first posts.
- As this is a casual RP, please have each post be at least a paragraph or two. However, I believe that one-liners have their place, if they are used in the right situation. This should be used VERY rarely, and it will be up to my discretion.
- You do not need to track every in-game stat about your character, however please try to keep it reasonable, and have realistic reactions to things that happen. If your mage gets directly hit by an attack, they should get knocked back, flinch, etc.
- Do not bring OOC disputes into IC, and vice versa.
- If you have any questions, feel free to PM me. However, be aware that I reserve the right to refuse to answer questions that could be considered spoilers.
- Most of all, have fun!
