And thus the major plot point of the game is revealed.

EDIT: Summer, the writing was right by the entrance. They didn't actually venture inside yet.
"Well, no, not a flashlight, but I do have my phone," Haruka said, taking it out. It was a simple matter of setting the brightness to max.

She swept the light across the entrance, but the beam didn't get far before landing on something interesting, painted on the wall in a red substance.

If you are reading this message, then my attempt to repair the barrier has failed, and now the world is in danger.

This building contains a terrible collection, a gallery so vile and incomprehensible that should it escape it will no doubt cause widespread chaos and panic. The barrier was supposed to protect us... it was supposed to keep the spreading worlds locked up in this building to fight amongst each other. Our world is absolutely no match for their influences but they cannot triumph over one another. If the barrier is gone these worlds will leak past each other and swallow ours.

But the barrier wasn't supposed to stop working. Not now. Not for over a hundred years. There were contingency plans but they are in no way ready yet.

It is with a heavy heart that I must burden whoever find this message with the task of stopping the leakage. Now that the barrier is on its way to failure there is only one way to stop the spread. You must reach into the void... disconnect each world from its access point to our reality.

Only then will we be safe.

God bless you.

Haruka stared at the message. Disbelief. Shock. Confusion.

"This is... I-I didn't...".
Haruka smiled, returning Suzume's as she hugged her. She watched as Suzume went and hugged Toby, and then Sho. For some reason, her smile faded slightly at that.

She looked around, noticing some of the others waking the rest up. So... what now? She still didn't know the answer to that question. But her habits were starting to rear themselves again.

They'd come here to explore the old building, right? So, they might as well do that. She made her way up to the front doors of the building; the windows were obscured, possibly painted over, by blackness.

She gripped the handle, pulling on the door, but it didn't budge. Huh? She double checked... yeah, this was indeed a pull door. Giving another hard tug, she felt a small amount give, but dizziness swamped her and she leaned against the wall to support herself.

"Could... someone help me with this?"
We still have our backpacks.

Buuuuuut, I doubt anything in there would help you.

psst there is no reception in alterland
That's her plan.
"Hey, Suichi-kun," Mayumi purred, wrapping her arms around him, "I kind of told some of those people over there that you were my boyfriend, so..."

She left that word trailing off as long as she could. The longer her words sunk in, the better his reaction would be.

"So, Suichi-kun, how are we going to find this girl? There's a huge crowd... oh! Maybe we should climb a tree, we'd have a better view of the crowd... or maybe like, a building, hmm..."

Her arms retreated from the boy so that she could do an exaggerated thinking pose.

"Are you thinking maybe she like sweets? All girls love sweets. Hmm..."

Her arms crossed.

"Well, I guess since you're in charge for now, you give the orders," she said, playfully pouting, to show him she wasn't serious.

"Aww man, why did it have to be here? Why can't more Spirits appear in less populated places so I can have them all to myself...?"
12:05AM

It seemed that some of the others were starting to wake up. Haruka walked back towards the group, still clutching the right side of her head.

Sho and Toby were up, trying to figure out what was going on. Suzume, however, was still out. She stumbled over, sitting down next to Suzume and gently putting her hand into Suzume's.

"Hey," she said, responding to Sho. "Do we not count? I mean I know I'm not an angel but..."

She paused. This whole situation still hadn't fully sunk in.

"What are we... what are we going to do now?" she asked, her tone now more serious than it was before.

And wasn't that the question? The whole 'barrier around them' thing put a stop to the very reasonable 'go and get help from the police or something' plan that would have been perfect in this situation. It seemed like the only place that was accessible now was the old building. They'd reached the point of no return, apparently. They were going to explore the old building now, whether they still wanted to or not.

Well, considering that was the original plan anyway, Haruka didn't feel like this incident changed her enthusiasm. Well at least it wouldn't if she didn't feel like crap right now.

So, she tried to steel herself. If this what happened outside of the building... then what would happen if they went inside?

Her grip on Suzume's hand tightened.
Saturday, April 11th, 12:04AM - The Old School Building...?

It was being splashed with a bucket of cold water.

Haruka awoke with a start, her eyes popping open to reveal everyone lying on the ground. She sat up, trying to process what the heck had just happened. She was hit with a small migraine as she lifted her body up, and clutched her head. From her seated position, she looked around to see where she was.

The first thing that caught her attention was the night sky. Was it night? It was way too bright... and pink... for that to make any sense.

Every motion she made was sluggish, her muscles dully aching as she moved them. It was like her body hadn't quite woken up.

She, finally, managed to will herself to stand up. That when she spotted that second important detail.

The barricade was gone.

She turned. The hill leading down towards the new school building was still there and, out of curiosity, she slowly walked down to try to get to it.

She didn't get far before her form collided with what was initially an invisible wall. Her impact sent a ripple of color outwards. She followed the ripple upwards, watching as it traveled up in an arc and came down again a little past the other side of the old building.

She reached a finger out, touching the invisible barrier again. And again, another ripple circled the entirety of the area.

It didn't take her long to put two and two together.

They were trapped.
Yep, everyone's dead.
I mean down.

Shit.
Deamon said
Everyone dies of explosive migraines. The end.

Hey, spoilers.
